| Article Title :: Basic Newsletter Planning |
| |
|
Planning your newsletter has five basic parts:
1. Size
2. Content/Theme
3. Who will receive it
4. Budget
5. How often to publish it
These five choices work together.
In most cases, the larger the newsletter, the less frequently it
will be distributed. Conversely, a one- or two-page piece can be
produced and set out often, even daily if the need exists. Your
audience may not want a big publication in their mailbox each
week, but may welcome it monthly.
Your content, and the type of content or the theme will affect
size and frequency as well. Obviously, if your content is
time-sensitive, it can't wait three months for a quarterly issue
and will need to be published at least once a (read full article) |

Your online business will likely require more advertising than a
contemporary business downtown, yet some new to the world of
online business do not spend the time and money to advertise
their business appropriately and are, in turn, loosing money.
Your online business is crammed into the world wide web along
with thousands of others selling the same product or service as
yourself. Consider this scenario: In your hometown you want to
open an art supply store. In that same town there are thousands
of art supply stores. In order for your business to be
successful, it will have to stand out in some way from the
others. This is exactly what is happening when a business is
opened online. There i (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Effective or Irritating: The Use of Pop Windows in |
| |
|
A few years ago, pop-up windows were all the rage in Internet
marketing. It seemed that every time one opened a web page they
would be bombarded with offers for this or that. It had gotten
to the point where surfing the Internet was almost like playing
a video game; when the ads would pop-up one would try and close
them out before another one came. This is precisely why we have
seen the decline in the use of pop-up windows on the Internet
today; surfers simply do not even look at the pop-ups anymore.
They close the windows out before even reading the ad. Very
often, a surfer will even leave your site if there are too many
pop-up ads. They simply do not want the hassle of closing those
windo (read full article) |

While television advertisers are scrambling to conquer Tivo® and
get people to actually look at their ads, a new breed of fast
emerging media may be just what they've been looking for.
The new media that could save the day for advertisers looking to
recapture lost viewers is called "pixel ads". Pixel ads are
found on web sites that sell micro-ads sized in 10 by 10 pixel
increments. The tiny ads are placed on the pixel ad site's home
page and link to the web sites of the various advertisers.
Here is the domain of Pixel Bay (www.pixelbay.org) a leading US
based micro-ad site. Pixel based ads originally conceived of by
Alex Tew of the UK, became popular with the launch of Tew's

Ideally, clients and agencies have aligned interests, and they
usually do. Today there are real challenges to that important
alignment, forcing clients and agencies to look for new and
better ways to collaborate. Enter easy-to-use, web based extr
anets.
What is an extranet? Specifically, an extranet is a
private web site that provides a secure environment for a select
group of users to share documents and information.
Although it is accessed through a web browser, such as Internet

| Article Title :: Promoting Your Website |
| |
|
There are many ways to promote your business online and
off. The first and foremost are "back links" from other
sites that have relevant content to yours. Why relevant? Search
Engine "spider food"! If you have a website about a home
business and all of your back link text are about home business
and the page your link is on has a good rank for the keyword
home business then your rank will go up also! Simple and makes
perfect sense dosen't it?
Request reciprocal links for sites that are related to
the content on your site. Do a search using keywords that you
have for your site. Visit some of the websites that you find.
Look to see if they have Link Partners. Many sites (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Paid Autosurfing - Compound Vs Withdraw |
| |
|
Autosurf programs' compounding and withdrawal policies are
possibly the most controversial issues throughout the industry.
Understandably so. The old systems clearly didn't work
(compounding was typically ALLOWED to happen on a DAILY basis if
the member had enough earnings to do so. This soon became
totally unsustainable for webmasters) so new programs with
optional alternatives have emerged as surprising favourites.
This has forced webmasters with traditional autosurf business
models to progressively follow suit.
Since the industry had suffered a mini-collapse, (as discussed
in one of my previous articles, Paid Autosurfing - A Brief
History) compounding terms and policies have mostly (read full article) |
