Stuff happens. You can't always be perfect, and people don't
expect you to be, but when something goes wrong you have a great
opportunity to learn a number of interesting things about people
in general and yourself in particular, as well as how to handle
such situations. As an example, here's something that recently
happened to me.
I have a free newsletter that I send by email. When someone
signs up for it at my website, I send them a "Welcome" message
to thank them for subscribing and to send them the most recent
issue. Last week I accidentally sent this "Welcome" message to
my entire list of over 2500 existing subscribers in 20+
countries!
I realized what had happened within 5 minutes, (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Give Yourself Permission |
| |
|
It is September 14, 2001 and I am sitting here trying to think
of something to share; frankly, I can't. I'm still in shock over
the events of the last few days so I'm going to offer this:
I have always maintained that TV is the archenemy of the
home-based business owner because it's so easy to get sucked-in
and completely distracted. I've tried to work while the TV is
on, but I'm only at 50% capacity at best. I suppose that's
better than sitting on the couch with a bowl of popcorn, but I
prefer operating at a higher level than that.
The solution I have always recommended is to never turn on a TV
in the first place. It's amazing how easy it is to avoid plot
lines when you don't know what t (read full article) |

Sometimes you're flying high. Everything is going great! You've
finished something that you've been putting off for a long time,
or you just got organized, or a big order came in. Don't you
just LOVE feeling like that? You are full of energy and those
impossible tasks are just sailing off of your desk. You're to-do
list is shrinking like a cotton shirt in a dryer.
On the other hand, sometimes you're pretty discouraged. "How am
I ever going to finish that project? How can I possibly do all
of the things that I need to do in order to get to where I want
to be?"
Don't you just HATE feeling like THAT? It's hard to move a
single piece of paper from one place on your desk to the other.

| Article Title :: You Can't Do It Alone - Top Five Benefits of Asking for Help |
| |
|
Entrepreneurs are a lot like the early American pioneers -
forging new ground, following their visions and making them
real. In order to succeed these pioneers relied on the notion of
"rugged individualism", a concept now woven into our cultural
fabric. Unfortunately, this valuable idea can be taken too far,
leaving us feeling like we must do it alone. As a result, many
of us believe that doing it alone is better and more virtuous,
and that pulling yourself "up by your bootstraps" signals a sign
of character.
I consistently encounter clients - entrepreneurs and
non-entrepreneurs - who believe that being a Lone Ranger is the
way to go, and that if it's not hard, it's not worth doing.

| Article Title :: How to Handle Stress by Managing your Levels? |
| |
|
Stress is a natural and unavoidable feature of modern life. When
the pressures of life become too much and we can't cope, stress
operates like a screw gradually turning tighter and tighter.
Often we don't realise that we are under stress - until the
pressure becomes too much and the lid starts lifting... then we
crack. Humans are vulnerable and live under an optimum level of
stress every day - they often don't know how to cope, when the
pressure builds up too much...but what can we do about it to
make our lives easier?
HOW TO COPE WITH STRESS?
Listen to your own alarm system. There are abundant challenges,
demands and opportunities in modern living; but these often
cause frustration and (read full article) |

How many of you have heard the term emotional baggage? That's
the negative notions and emotions we carry around with us. Some
people try to justify it with statements of a dysfunctional
family. Others blame poor schooling. Fate gets a bad name too.
As I was going through one of my folders on self-esteem, I
rediscovered an article published by Sunshine Magazine in
September 1990. If I like an article, it gets clipped or copied
and I actually have a good filing system for all sorts of
topics. I've had a couple of issues in my life recently that I
need to dump so this article caught my attention. The old saying
of teaching what you most need to know is so true. Perhaps it
will help you or some (read full article) |

SEVEN WAYS TO GET MORE WORK DONE
When you think about the times you achieved full concentration
on any type of job, you will remember that the work was easier,
you were surprised at how much you accomplished, and the quality
of the work was high. The problem is how to achieve this level
of concentration, and how to reach it on a regular basis. Here's
some ideas you can use to more fully develop this trait.
1. The first is obvious - practice concentrating. The more it
becomes a habit, the less brain activity is necessary. Being
able to focus becomes less difficult. Also, you will find that
as you practice in different areas of your life, skills transfer
from one task to another more easily (read full article) |

You're completely bogged down with work. This week you must
complete three client proposals, and two of your staff are out
sick. You feel you have a better chance of sprouting wings and
flying than getting those proposals done. From experience, you
know that each proposal will take around four hours to do.
However, you just don't have those 12 hours to spare. You decide
that you will have to call your clients, tell them that you're
overwhelmed, and assure them that you will deliver the proposals
next week.
What can you do when you've got way more work than you can get
done? Whether the reason you're overloaded is that you're a
procrastinator or someone who (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Surviving a Long Distance Relationship |
| |
|
Challenging and difficult, though they may not be what we want
to hear, are the words that best describe long distance
relationships. Keep in mind however, that the words are
challenging and difficult, not impossible. Many people choose to
give a long distance relationship a try, with the constant
curiosity if it was the right decision to make and if it even
stands a chance. The truth is, a long distance relationship has
just as much a chance of succeeding as any other relationship!
Long Distance Relationships share the same facts as an average
relationship. It involves two people who share an interest in
each other’s lives, care for one another and of course have a
love for each other t (read full article) |
