Article Title :: Best Undergraduate Business Schools

The best undergraduate business schools are mostly found in business schools that offer the top-rated graduate schools. They are mostly found here in the United States, although Ecole in France claims to be the first.Enrolling yourself in an undergraduate business school does have some advantages compared to beginning at the graduate-level. You will have no trouble adjusting once you decide to take graduate courses. Most employers are looking for applicants who have already taken a business course and do not so much hire those who are simply poised to take it. You may also look at it as an investment, since most of the courses taught in graduate and the undergraduate levels are the  (read full article)

The University of Iowa is considered to be one of the best schools in the state and also in the surrounding area. The University of Iowa is located in the southeast part of the state, in a town called Iowa City. It is also located on the shores of the Iowa River. Iowa City is often listed in "best places to live" studies because of the great public schools, safe neighborhoods and educated population.  Article Title :: Choosing A College; How To Start

With more than three thousand colleges and universities from which to choose, every student who takes the time to intelligently explore his or her educational options (and adheres to application and financial aid deadlines) should gain admission to at least three or four institutions in which they are highly likely to be happy and successful. Students and parents will therefore not find the college application process an anxiety provoking experience if they understand there is no single "right" college, if they maintain reasonable expectations, do a little planning, and take full advantage of the many informational resources available to them. It is important to realize that onl  (read full article)

Article Title :: Academic Culture Crimps Innovative Future

Political Correctness sounds like a good idea so no one gets their feelings hurt and we can all get along. It seems that this would indeed assist in propelling thought right? Well to a point it does as everyone is on a level playing field and communication lines remain open. Yet at the same time when you isolate some lines of thinking to an “out of bounds” category then you are in fact limiting thought and boxing in your areas of thought. Not so good in that case, you see?But it gets worse, as areas of study are again isolated by category and people get degrees in certain subjects and concentrate only on those areas. So in essence it is a sort of brain washing and limiting affe  (read full article)

Article Title :: Academic Critics Considered

Many people are too fast to blast academia for their political correctness, as it really does have some value in that it opens up lines of communication between diverse cultures. The critics of academia claim that it is so liberal biased that it shades reality and thus any solution, which comes out of academia, is automatically skewed to that liberal viewpoint.Indeed all these criticism is true, but we also should realize that at least you now have the exact counter argument to the point from that liberal biased, far-end out in left field ridiculous motif. And well, you need that view too in order to address this liberal trash and crap they put out.Generally it should be evi  (read full article)

Article Title :: Academic Credibility Called into Question

So often we are given reports and feed supposed research data from academia which is indeed nothing short of pure horseshit. Rarely do we call academic research into question, yet we need to. Why? Well we see that more than 60% of the Chinese students admit to cheating on data in research projects.People were quite alarmed when they learned this yet, you may be surprised that cheating or fabricating data is not a Chinese only thing, imagine how much US based academic research is also utter hokum. I bet although not nearly as high as in the US, that it is a significant figure? So is it 30%, 20% or maybe only 10%?Well considering the massive cheating in High Schools, Colleges   (read full article)

Article Title :: Registered Nursing Continuing Education

The completion of two to four years of education, with an associate degree or a baccalaureate degree, is a basic requirement to become a Registered Nurse. The field of nursing is wide open, because of a shotage of muc needed nurses in hospitals and other venues across the country and the world. There are many types of courses and providers available. The common goal of these courses is to prepare the future nurses for initial entry into practice and RN licensure [procedure of which differs from state to state in the US] and work their way up the professional ladder. The candidates should complete a minimum number of hours of CE courses to qualify for licensure. They are also  (read full article)

Article Title :: Academic Catalogs Very Misleading

Have you ever picked up an academic catalog of classes or went to a website to see what your local college or University Offered in the way of classes? Most of us have seen these things and the classes appear to be absolutely intriguing but much of that is the fine art of public relations and marketing writing and not the reality of the class at all.It is truly amazing that this false and misleading advertising goes on in Academia, because they so often with their liberal views are so quick to point out even possible misrepresentation in the business world or even a politician who deliberately misleads his or her constituency. It seems that we have quite a hypocritical group in our  (read full article)

Article Title :: Academic Catch-22 and Its Affect on You

For those who attend a University and get a degree only 16% in ten years after graduation will be using any of that knowledge in their careers or even be in that industry anymore. More over a fast moving technological field generally makes a 10-year old degree rather worthless, as the new technology hyperspaces anything you learned in the school.Even worse the average College Graduate stays at their employment only 3.2 years and then skips around after that changing jobs. What is interesting is that you usually need a college degree to work in a Corporation as a good position, yet you most likely will not be using that knowledge? Some might say well that seems like extortion in tha  (read full article)

Article Title :: Academic Centralization and Long Distance Learning Discussed

It appears that in many regards virtual learning, long-distance learning and the future of academic centralization are making some interesting turns of fate. Some are quite excited about this and others are a little worried about it.Change always does cause problems for the less progressive and indeed many in academic institutions have a pretty good power base going and well they do not wish to lose their stronghold. Moreover it is appears that some Universities are attempting to stay cutting edge by way of broadcasting their degree programs for a tuition fee and even offering specialty courses for industry to comply with regulations and changes in licensing in many industries from  (read full article)
