I was walking back home with my dog (he still eats the newspapers by the way) this weekend and re-emerging from the woods on the hill that over looks the valley I live in, I stopped, and took the time to stand and stare. Below me was the village, nestled deep in a cleft. The surrounding hills were lavishly adorned with sprawling woodlands, skirting and dividing the many farm fields in which the wheat was beginning to ripen, the hedgerows subdividing these further. | Article - Classy "D" I got an instant message from a woman that we will just refer to as "D" telling me that she was having trouble with her computer and that my wife had mentioned to her that I may be able to help. Most guys would be pissed that someone would volunteer them without out talking about it first, but I trust my wife's judgment and never question her actions in such events. Prayer and forgiveness
Prayer and forgiveness are very spiritual by their nature. Prayer represents our communication with God and forgiveness is a godly act even us mortals are empowered to perform.

I think we know of martyrs who have died for great causes. They had a "calling" to become sacrificial to a purpose larger than they had imagined.
Is being a martyr to a job the same? I think not. Surprisingly, many people keep a job that is either dreadful, boring or just plain harmful to one's being.
I think the reasons for staying with a bad job are:
Fear of making a change.
Economic hardship without a job.
Avoiding risks.
Inner conflict over worthiness.
Lack of other goals.
Punishment as a choice.
Seeing the "glass as half empty".
Not enough emotional support.
Fear of not making it.
