First, let me say, in everyday life, there is immeasurable value
in having at least conceptual knowledge of science and math. For
gamblers, it’s imperative that every player have solid knowledge
regarding how mathematics and their game of choice go hand and
hand. (There are different philophies as to what extent you
should allow math to determine your playing strategy, but that's
another article.) With that said, science and math are
frequently used and mis-used by marketers and systems sellers to
dazzle and baffle the (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Welcome Doctor To Our Humble Madhouse |
| |
|
I have a friend, probably the most intelligent person I’ve ever
met, who occasionally joins my group in our Las Vegas
excursions. We refer to him as “Doc” as he has a Phd. from one
of the ivy league schools. He’s tall, excruciatingly thin, and
appears to be made up of only arms and legs. If you were to meet
him in passing, his appearance and demeanor would leave you with
the impression that he’s a bit of a stiff. When my friends and I
would head for the craps tables, he would go to play blackjack.
He’s a moderately strong BJ player, and would probably be an
excellent one if he played more frequently and was more
passionate about the game.
One night, awhile back, instead of his (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Showing Rabbits |
| |
|
So, you have either decided to raise rabbits or are considering
it? That's wonderful! Rabbits are special creatures that will
steal your heart in an instant, and nothing is more satisfying
than seeing your hard work as a breeder who is trying to improve
the breed pay off when a home bred bunny wins a prize at a show.
However, getting to that step requires some effort.
DECIDING WHAT BREED
Before you get started, you obviously have to decide what breed
of rabbit you wish to raise or show. Each breed of rabbit is a
wonderful breed, and each has its good and bad points. Before
choosing a breed, make a list of what you can realistically have
and what you need. If you don't have much space, it (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Rabbit Coat Colour Genetics |
| |
|
Genetics are what make a rabbit, or any living organism, look
the way it does. It makes a rabbit be a certain size, be a
certain colour, have a certain type of coat or ears, and more.
This introduction, however, is just for the genetics concerning
the coat colours of rabbits. Chromosomes and Genes
Chromosomes are strands of DNA that act as a map. They map out
exactly how the rabbit will look. In each cell, inot including
the sex cells and red blood cells, a rabbit has 22 chromosomes.
Each one of these pairs controls a different thing about the
rabbit. For example, one might control the rabbits gender, some
control colour, others control fur. Each chromosome pair has two
genes in it. These (read full article) |

| Article Title :: The Craps Underground - A Review |
| |
|
"Scoblete's new book depicts the real world of dice influencing
about as accurately as Hogan's Heroes depicted life in a World
War II German POW camp."
That was my initial impression of Scoblete's new book which I
posted on the message board a few weeks back. Now I've had a
chance to re-read the book a couple of times and fully digest
it. Fortunately, I acquired one of the pre-release copies of the
book, gratis. I would have had a SERIOUS case of buyers remorse
had I actually paid $24.95 for this 315 page hard cover dog.
My complete review follows.
I read a lot. I spend an hour and a half each work day on a
train, so I go through books quickly. In my library, I have
probably 40 to 50 bo (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Fail. Fail Again. Fail Better |
| |
|
The title of this article is a Samuel Beckett quote. Some may
interpret this as a negative statement because it is dwelling on
failure. I disagree. In dice influencing, and life in general, I
associate this quote with the oft cited, “When at first you
don’t succeed, try, try again.” Here’s why.
Let’s face it. Every hand that a precision shooter throws, be
they novice or journeyman shooter, eventually ends with failure.
Whether the hand lasts three rolls, or ten or thirty rolls, an
eventual unintended seven arrives in due course. If we were
capable of throwing a perfectly executed controlled toss every
time, perhaps this would not be the case, but the bottom line is
we CAN’T thr (read full article) |

A Brief History of Handbags
Have you ever wondered about the origin of handbags and purses?
Handbags have been essential to daily life ever since people
have had something precious to carry around with them and only
the items have changed over time. The very first mention in
written literature comes from the 14th century, even though
Egyptian hieroglyphs show pouches carried around the waist. Bags
were attached to what were called "girdles" which were fastened
to the waist. Embroidery and jewels adorned these articles and
were used to show status - the richer the person, the more
elaborate the bag. More information on medieval clothing In the
16th century, handbags took on more of an air (read full article) |
