Article Title :: History of Kokeshi Japanese Wooden Dolls

Little is known of the early history of Kokeshi Japanese Wooden Dolls. One school of thought believes that Kokeshi dolls have their origins in the practice of spiritualist religion. The modern history of Japanese Kokeshi dolls began in the latter part of the Edo Era (1603-1867). Originating in the Tohiku region of northern Japan, famous for it's hot springs and rejuvenating spa waters, Kokeshi Dolls acted as an important source of extra income for local artisans known as Kijiya (which means woodworker in Japanese), who specialised in wood work and the production  (read full article)

Continue with, "It measures the temperature and then, using that information, turns the heater on or off, to keep the house comfortable." Continuing even deeper, we see that it uses measurement in order to control something. Let's work with that concept. With the technol  (read full article)

For a brand of cigars that started out with no name Cohiba Cigars have gone a long way in gaining recognition as the best cigar in the world. Cohiba cigars started their journey from being a cigar favored by one of Castro's body guards to a favorite of Fidel himself. It borders New Jersey, Maryland and Pennsylvania and measures in at 96 miles long. However, where Delaware is short on space, it is certainly long on fun. Between the historical sights, beaches and more, there is definitely fun to be had in Delaware. Delaware casinos are no exception. There are not an abundance of them, as there are in other states, but where they lack in numbers, Delaware casinos make up for in fun, fun, and more fu  (read full article)
