| Article Title :: Watermark Pads (Scrapbooking) |
| |
|
There are a few techniques required to use a watermark pad i.e.
watermarking, embossing, chalking. As the first step involved is
watermarking, you require a few things to make it and they are a
Watermark pad, colored cardstock and stamp. You just stamp your
image on the cardstock and it appears two times darker than the
color of the cardstock. It helps shadowing of stamped images.
Embossing is the next technique that requires a) Stamp b)
Cardstock or paper c) Embossing powder d) Heat gun. Your image
that has been stamped should be loaded to the watermark pad and
sprayed with embossing powder. The excessive embossing powder
should be placed back in jars. Provide heat to the image so that

A scrapbooking party can be a great way to introduce guests to
the art of scrapbooking or for experienced crafters to share
ideas and tips. (These get-togethers are called "crops.") There
are many ways to approach a scrapbooking party, and the best
approach for your party depends on your guests and the goals of
the party. A children's birthday party can incorporate
scrapbooking as a fun activity, or a number of experienced
scrapbookers can spend an afternoon (or an entire day!) sharing
their secrets. The following ideas can help you plan a great
scrapbooking party.
General Parties Whether you're throwing a child's birthday party
or a party specifically for scrapbooking, be sure to conside (read full article) |

| Article Title :: How To Clean Your Golf Clubs |
| |
|
The off season is a great time for cleaning your clubs and doing
other repairs and maintenance on your equipment. It's also a
great time to take inventory of what you have, what you don't
have and what you'll probably need to replace for next season.
When it comes to cleaning your clubs, you have two basic
choices. Have someone else do it for you, say, the pro shop--or,
do it yourself. While there are a lot of things I recommend that
the pro shop do, cleaning my clubs is something I like to do
myself. Not only does make me feel good afterwards--newly
cleaned clubs look great--but it also gives me some quiet time
to inspect my clubs slowly and closely, which is something I
totally overlook (read full article) |

L A G A R
The lagar, in which the grapes are trodden and pressed, is a
rectangular wooden trough, 12 feet square and about 2 feet deep,
with a 6-foot iron screw in the centre; its floor rests upon
four legs about 3 feet high: it has a lip, with a funnel
attached to it, through which the sweet grape-juice flows
straight into tubs and then into casks, where it ferments away
from grape stalks and skins.
The lagar is half filled with 60 hampers of grapes, 1,500 lb. in
all, which are evenly distributed and sprinkled with 3 to 4 lb.
of yeso, or gypsum. Then the pisadores, or treaders, usually
four together, enter the lagar, shod with shoes studded with
projecting nails. They goose- (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Tips For A Better Golf Grip |
| |
|
You might be amazed or at least surprised at how many players
there are who work routinely on their swing but rarely (if ever)
work on their grip. In this case, I mean the grip of their
hands, not the rubber grip on the shaft. If you think about it
though, the whole swing starts with the grip, which should
increase its importance in getting it right.
If your grip doesn't work, why should anything that follows work?
There is a neutral grip for any golfer! That grip is where your
arm hangs down from the shoulder socket and the angle of your
target side hand. It makes no difference whether you use an
overlapping, interlocking, or ten-finger (baseball bat) grip.
What IS important is the angle (read full article) |

| |
|
Did you know that during the Civil War, more than 1000 different
types of bullets were used? This is one reason Civil War bullet
collecting has become a popular hobby. Another reason is that
the time of the Civil War saw changes taking place in the
development of firearms and ammunition. The old round musket
balls of the Revolution were being replaced with bullets in the
shape we are accustomed to. While musket balls are found on
Civil War battlefields, the most common type of bullet used was
the .58-caliber bullet with three rings around the base. Many
bullets found are splattered out of shape. If you've always been
fascinated by the Civil War and firearms, Civil War bullet
collecting is a (read full article) |

| Article Title :: A History Of Cigars |
| |
|
Ever wonder where cigar smoking began? So have I so I decided to
look into it, here's what I found. Cigars have been around for
over 1,000 years! The original native population of the various
islands in the Caribbean as well as the rest of Mesoamerica
began making and smoking cigars as early as 900 AD. How do we
know this? Archaeologists discovered a ceramic vessel at a Mayan
dig site in Uaxactun, Guatemala which was painted with the
likeness of a man smoking a cigar.
The explorer, Christopher Columbus who found the Americas by
accident when looking for a shorter trade route to India, is
credited with introducing smoking to Europe and even with the
actual discovery of smoking even though j (read full article) |

| |
|
Have you been wanting to get a tattoo but don't have an exact
idea or not sure what you want? Tattoos are so popular and there
are so many ideas but many of us feel stuck at times on the
exact tattoo we want to get. For me I often feel stuck when I
think of how permanent a tattoo is. I see a lot of cool designs
that I like at the time but when I start thinking about the
having it permanently done I start to change my mind and look
for something else.
Others have the idea or rough plan of what they want but they
can't find any good source material or flash that matches what
they want. Some of our customers state that they have spent
months looking for a certain tattoo design. They look thro (read full article) |

| Article Title :: The Importance of Having Good Golf Shoes |
| |
|
One of the most important tools that you have in your playing
arsenal is also one of the most overlooked. Yup, the lowly golf
shoe. The importance of a good fitting golf shoe cannot be
understated. Think about it. If your feet are properly secured
to ground, the rest of you won't be either when you make that
swing. Shoes that slip or slide on wet grass, or shoes that feel
like you're standing on nails in dry conditions will only
diminish your game and cost you strokes at the end of the day.
It's not always necessary to buy a new pair of golf shoes. In
many cases, a good cleaning and changing out the cleats is all
you need to do. Switching out your old cleats is a simple job.
It may take a (read full article) |
