| Article Title :: Replicas: Man's Fascination With Models |
| |
|
Even during the earliest days, man has always been fascinated
with replicas of everyday life. In tombs recently unearthed,
there have always been replicas the things the person loved in
life. These things may be toy horses, toy soldiers, toy weapons
and other models of that sort.
The Ancient Egyptians had numerous replicas in their tombs that
symbolized the life the dead had once lived. For these people
these replicas held not just sentimental value. They held
symbolical and religious value as well.
Replicas in the old days were usually created using clay.
Potters and craftsmen would form these lumps of earth into
various shapes to create mini-statues, toys, pottery, and other
models.

| Article Title :: Guitar Tapping Tips And Techniques |
| |
|
Although made popular recently by Eddie VanHalen, guitar tapping
or right hand 'legatos' is a technique players have been
executing for years. Country players know the benefit of laying
down a nice subtle lead and just putting in those quick hammers
with clear guitar tapping. And while it's not the easiest thing,
guitar finger tapping techniques are really nothing much more
then fast hammer on and a pull offs. Whether you use your middle
finger or your first, most times you can hold the pick as usual
to execute your guitar tapping and get the speed and positioning
essential to good guitar tapping techniques. But like anything
else, guitar tapping takes practice and patience.

| Article Title :: Rattan Furniture and Your Home |
| |
|
Today there are many ways to decorate a home with exotic
furniture for a unique design. Whether you prefer Asian or
Western décor, you may be interested in using bamboo or rattan
furniture or flooring to give your home a unique look and feel.
A member of the grass family, bamboo is a slender hollow stock
that has been used by Easterners for their home furnishings for
centuries. Rattan, on the other hand, is more of a vine-like
structure, although quite sturdy. It has an outer skin, unlike
bamboo, which makes it more suitable for welding or screwing
furniture and flooring pieces together. This is why many
customers nowadays ask for rattan rather than bamboo
furnishings.

| Article Title :: Caring for Inflatable Equipment |
| |
|
Kids love tossing an inflatable beach ball around the pool. An
inflatable plastic chair for toddlers comes in handy when
traveling. How about taking along an inflatable tube or raft on
your next vacation? There are all kinds of inflatable products
that make our lives a little easier and more enjoyable. These
items can be decompressed and stored in relatively small areas
to keep them out of the way when they aren't needed. But there's
more to caring for your inflatable equipment than letting the
air out and stuffing it into a box for the garage.
First, teach everyone in the household to use the equipment
responsibly. Most of these items are not built to take extreme
or harsh treatment. Do (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Mathematics And Saddle |
| |
|
Usually the term saddle makes us think about the seat in a horse
back or the seat in a bicycle or in a motorcycle.
In horseback riding, the saddle is the seat that horse riders
use to keep themselves firmly sitting upon the horse's back. It
is attached to the horse using a girth and a wide strap. The
wide strap will go around the horse to keep the seat from
moving.
It is most important that the saddle will keep both horse and
rider comfortable to avoid injury to both of them. Saddles may
either be English saddles or Western saddle depending on what
purpose they are used for.
An English Saddle is used for Polo, Racing, Jumping, Show,
Dressage, Park, Show or it can be an All Purpose Sad (read full article) |

| Article Title :: The Gates - Environmental Art at Central Park |
| |
|
>From February 12 to 27, 2005, Central Park exploded in a radiant
orange as Christo and Jeanne-Claude unveiled their art
installation, The Gates. The Gates was an exhibit of sorts that
aimed to artistically interpret the bleak winter and its
contrast with a vivid world.
What is The Gates
The Gates, or "The Gates, Central Park, New York, 1979 - 2005,"
is an artistic endeavor undertaken by the husband and wife
tandem of Christo and Jeanne Claude. For two weeks, 7,503 metal
'gates,' lined 37 kilometers of the Center Park. From each gate
hung an orange colored fabric.
Why Build such a Thing?
Before Central Park was built, the area where it now stands was
a swampland that held little beauty (read full article) |

| Article Title :: The Versatility of a Bottle |
| |
|
Bottles are quite fascinating. Aside from being just containers
for almost everything, bottles can be used for many purposes.
There are actually so many kinds of bottles that can be used for
each specific purpose. There's the long neck bottle meant for
wines and other drinks that has alcohol content. There are also
short and stout bottles that are used for liquid storage. There
are also bottles used as vials for medical purposes while some
are even used in various fields of discovery.
But, among the so many types of bottles used for different
purposes, one type of bottle tries to stand out from the
rest--bottles used in perfumery that can considered as
"collector's item." Just like clothe (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Sew Your Stressors Away |
| |
|
Do you like to sew? Perhaps you tried crocheting as a child but
never liked it. It could be that Aunt Grace tried to teach you
how to hem handkerchiefs but you never caught on. Or that
lopsided afghan throw lying crumpled on the sofa might be your
first and last foray into the land of knitting needles. But even
if you have never tried needlework, or if the first effort
didn't go over too well, it's never too late to try again,
especially since sewing is a great way to reduce stress and
express your artistic capabilities.
Although sewing used to be largely a female pastime, today more
and more men are giving it a try. Mixed Bible studies have
produced hand-sewn quilts that included square (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Crossword Puzzles For Active Minds |
| |
|
Use it or lose it, most definitely applies to our brains. How
many of us actually remember all we were taught at school. I
know some would say that much of what we learned was pointless.
I guess I don't really need to know how many millions of miles
away the sun and the moon are.
One thing I do know is that most of the elderly people I come
into contact with, who still have a spring in their step, have
one or two things in common. They have kept their mind and
bodies active.
Completing crossword puzzles is a popular way to keep the mind
active in ones latter years. Crossword puzzles certainly keep
our brains ticking over and the more it's used the better we
become. The great thing with (read full article) |

With an increasing market of high-end retailers selling golf
equipment, one could possibly miss a "real" golf store.
Typically, golf stores have the latest, if not the best, golf
equipment and accessories needed by somebody who plays golf.
Things could range from golf clubs to golf balls, to even
posters, shirts, and wallpaper.
Most golf stores focus on ensuring the proper equipment for the
interested golfer. They will provide hints on how to choose the
right club and the appropriate golf ball. Golf stores do not
only supply things relative to golf but some also offer services
and knowledge about the sport itself.
