Article Title :: Help! Your Heart is Missing From Your Scrapbooking Journaling - Part 3

Take a quick look at your scrapbook pages. Does your scrapbooking journaling revolve around marrying photos to the right events and occasions? Have you missed out issues that hold even greater significance in your and your loved ones' lives even though these issues don't come attached with photos? Like how your kids gave out happy squeals and jumped up in joy as daddy announced that you'll be buying a bigger house that comes with a garden? Or how relieved and touched you were when your sis offered to take care of your kids, while you and your husband take a short trip to attend a seminar in Dallas? Not having a photo doesn't mean you can't do a scrapbook layout about the important iss  (read full article)

Article Title :: Help! Your Heart is Missing From Your Scrapbooking Journaling - Part 2

Now that you’ve granted yourself permission to scrapbooking journaling from your heart, what’s the next step? Have you ever sat down and thought about what really matters to you, while you were looking at a photo and holding a pen in your hands? For me, stuff that counts is normally ordinary, non-spectacular daily happenings. Yet such important stuff got lost in the midst of my struggle to keep my recordings straight for legacy reasons. I admit that I got so engrossed with recalling facts and figures at times, that I missed out on the more important aspect of journaling. It happens. Give me a minute and let me see what I cherish. Oh, the warmth and love I feel in my heart when I d  (read full article)

Article Title :: Help! Your Heart is Missing From Your Scrapbooking Journaling - Part 1

I'm guilty of penning some of the most boring and uninspiring scrapbooking journaling that won't even excite my doggy. I had doled out my fair share of unembellished journaling with the usual Who, What, Where, When and Why a little far too often for my own comfort. Doesn't this simple, straight-forward writing style of 5 Ws I've adopted reminds you of the no nonsense writing of a current affairs journalist? Does it begin to sound a little like a plain, boring main entree of dory fish fillet with no sauce, no side dish and no dressing to give the dish a bit of "make-up"? Then why did I do that? Because it's easy. Because it's nearly a no-brainer except that I have to dig deep into the we  (read full article)

Article Title :: Are You An Aspiring Photographer?

Are you an aspiring photographer? Whether you just starting out, or have been interested in photography as a hobby for quite some time, I am sure you would agree that the process of shooting photos can be very rewarding. For those of us that do not have the god given ability to paint, draw, or play music well, photography provides an outlet for the creative energies dwelling within all of us. Although I personally prefer shooting black and white, 35mm film, digital does have many advantages. In the modern age of digital photography, persons can develop their skills and their eye for shooting a great picture at a minimal expense. With digital camera prices coming down all the time, just abo  (read full article)

Article Title :: Darn Wicked Games To Entertain The Entire Family.

The entire family does not have to gather around the dining table. Your PC will do, as long as you know the games that entire family will love. Here are my picks. The Walls of Jericho (Full Armor Studios) The Walls of Jericho is an awesome puzzle game using move and match to crumble stone blocks. Your faithful followers won't stay around forever, though, unless you can solve the puzzle, activate powerful combos and bring down the walls. Click-drag blocks to move them around. Match 3 or more of a kind in a row to crumble them. Unlike many other click-and-match games, you can drag blocks as far as you want. Red blocks conceal POWER BLOCKS, which can destroy many ordinary blocks when matched  (read full article)

Article Title :: Collecting Movie Posters Today

Just like collecting stamps, collecting movie posters is a fabulous way to either decorate a place or keep a piece of the movie with you for a long time to come. There are really no set rules as to what kind of movie posters to collect. Some people collect movie posters only from a certain genre, e.g. comedies and romance flicks only. And some people collect movie posters of movies from a certain period of time. Some people who are fans of all types of movies collect movie posters of ALL kinds! And then the movie posters are filed according to the time they were released or genre that the movie belongs to. The basic general rule of thumb is that you should just collect whatever movie poste  (read full article)

Article Title :: Five Tips to Buy the Best MP3 Player on the Market

You have decided that you want -- no, you deserve -- the best MP3 player on the market. Although "best" is always subjective, there are a few things that every top-quality MP3 player should have. Use this handy guide for choosing the best MP3 player for you. 1. Without a doubt, sound is the most important quality in a MP3 player. When budgeting for an MP3 player, plan to buy a set of third-party earbuds for the most comfort and the best sound. 2. Get the most storage space you can afford. Top-quality MP3 play  (read full article)

Article Title :: Dry Roses with Your Microwave

Drying roses with this method is fairly easy, and they turn out beautiful. Mine usually are mistaken for being freeze dried roses. First you'll need a microwave safe bowl, one big enough that the entire rose will fit completely into. Next you'll need silica gel, which can be purchased at a craft store. Silica gel is a granule-based substance, similar to the texture of sugar, which pulls moisture out of objects. It usually has blue "indicator" crystals in the gel showing you how much water has been absorbed. Cut the rose about 1/4 inch or so from the actual rose flower. This is perfect length for use in a wreath. If you need a longer stem for an arrangement, you'll need to use floral tape a  (read full article)
