| Article Title :: Lighting Without A Budget For The Indie Film Maker |
| |
|
You've planned all your shots out to the last detail,
everything placed to perfections but something's not quite
right. It's the lighting of course.
I think one of the largest expenses outside of camera equipment
has to be lighting. I've spent many a rainy day staring dreamy
eyed at the Lowel Light catalogue. After taking stock of the
contents of my empty pocket I knew there had to be a cheaper way
to start, so it was off to Sears. I'm not saying that Sears is
lighting central I just had room on my Sears card to go shopping.
A careful search of the closeout section revealed a few boxes of
halogen work lights that we're either open box returns or the
packaging was less than shelf quality. (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Is using Photoshop Cheating? |
| |
|
Is Photoshop really cheating
when it comes to photography ethics?
I keep coming across people accusing and being accused of
"cheating" an image by using the wonders of Adobe Photoshop, and
that their work isn't really photography at all, but
another form of art altogether.
First of all, my opinion is "so what"? What does it
really matter how the artist or photographer got
to the finished image? As long as it is thought provoking and
pleasing to the eye, and as long as it can be used in any
necessary context for publication if so desired, do we really
need to know how and/or why it was done?
Sure, a hard-cor (read full article) |

| |
|
Despite their similarities to cigarettes, cigars have long
possessed a much more sophisticated persona. Though they have
often been portrayed as accessories of the rich and powerful in
years past, cigars have seen a much broader degree of mainstream
popularity recently. Magazines like Cigar Aficionado extol the
joys of cigar smoking, and the whole array of elegant humidors
(used for storage,) boxes, lighters and other related products
available to cigar smokers exude a distinctive style or persona.
The humidor, the most well known cigar accessory, comes in a
variety of shapes, sizes and price ranges. In addition, one can
find many other boxes, display cases, lighters, cutters and

| |
|
Having taught the guitar for many years, I see the majority of
beginners experiencing the same problems and making the same
mistakes over and over again in their quest to learn how to play
guitar. It's my job to steer them through these problem areas.
These "mistakes" are basic errors that most beginners naturally
tend to make. But these mistakes can cause major problems if you
allow them to become habits in your playing. Unfortunately, 90%
of guitarists have done just that!
Avoid These 3 Mistakes Like The plague
The three main mistakes MOST people make when learning how to
play guitar are:
1: Trying to play too fast too soon.
Don't be in such a rush. Trying to go too fast too soon cau (read full article) |

5 Simple Steps to Better Color Pictures
Shield your lens from direct light One of the biggest image
degrading factors I have seen is lens flare. When direct light
enters the front of your lens, it bounces around in the lens
lowering contrast and destroying color saturation. You will
mostly encounter lens flare when photographing a backlit
subject. That is to say when the sun is in front of you and
behind the object of the photograph. There are several things
you can do to eliminate this problem. One of which is to always
use a lens hood. There are times when a lens hood will not be
enough. When this is the case, you can “flag” the light by
blocking it with your hand, a cap or a flag y (read full article) |

| |
|
The value of a particular coin, is determined by the grade that
it is in. Coins that are in common circulation deteriorate over
time and start to loose their detail. Coin grading will help you
get to the coins current value, and a properly graded coin will
determine more accurately what the exact worth of the coin. Coin
collectors use a numbering system to give collectors an accurate
measure of the condition a coin is in. This numbering system
ranges between 1 and 70. "1" being the worst possible condition
of a coin, and 70 meaning flawless. The numbers tell collectors
many things, like how much wear is on the coin and if there are
any damaging marks on the coin. There are very few coins ou (read full article) |

| |
|
If you’re considering dirt bike racing as a hobby there is one
thing that you are definitely going to have to prepare yourself
for and that’s dirt bike crashes. I don’t think there’s a single
dirt biker out there who hasn’t been involved in a crash of one
sort or another. The nature of the sport means they are
inevitable and when it happens there’s a good chance it is going
to hurt.
Wearing the proper safety gear won’t prevent you from crashing
your bike, but it may well prevent serious injury. The helmet is
probably the most obvious because it stops a glance to the head
from becoming a full-blown head trauma. They really do save
lives on a regular basis and riding without on (read full article) |

Now cut the bowl in half.
Plan out your frame. What shape do you want it to be?

| Article Title :: Basic Baccarat Strategy |
| |
|
Card Counting is one of those phony ideas published in baccarat
strategy books. Card counting is most often associated with the
game of blackjack - and is very effected, used correctly in the
right casino. It could also seem to be of real worth in baccarat
as the game does work off a comparable shoe. The issue that
causes the problem is that of used cards be reintroduced into
the shoe before very many have been taken out, thereby
flummoxing any count made up to that point!
Baccarat also, unlike Blackjack, does not allow the player the
right to change his bet mid-hand in play. Blackjack allows this
practice in a number of specific cases, and the player can
increase his bet if his count chan (read full article) |
