He took one in each hand and ran back into the forest. He sniffed the apples and smelled nothing. He tried to eat them, but hurt his teeth. They were made of wood, but they were beautiful, and when the other monkeys saw them, he held onto them even tighter. He admired his new possessions proudly as he wandered the jungle. | |
| Text: Matthew 12:46-50, Mark 3: 31-35, Luke 8:19Mother's Day has passed. All the dinners have been served, flowers and gifts delivered. The question remains- Who is My Mother? In the gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke Jesus asks and answers this question.Isn't my mother the one who gave birth to me? Isn't she the one who took care of me when I was a baby? The one who fed me, clothed me and cleaned me?Jesus says, "Whosoever does the will of God is my brother, and my sister and mother." The kind of relationship Jesus has in mind is a spiritual one. | Article Title :: Shaping the Future with Positive People Power |
| |
| We must shape the future and control our destiny. When we examine our world, what do we see? At this moment, we see mass unemployment, a shaky economic system, 'haves' and 'have nots', corporate dominance and a system of living which is getting worse every day. Ecologically, we'ver ruined our planet and now it seems that the Earth is fighting back. Now we have global warming, geological changes, tsunamis, volcanoes and constant earthquakes. Thus, we must wonder how long this materialistic civilization of ours can survive on the path it’s taken. | Article Title :: Stand Up! |
| |
| One of the most undervalued blessings is God’s will to make every individual a unique creation. It takes all kinds of people to do the great work of the Lord’s kingdom, and it’s a good thing that each of us has special talents, callings, and gifts to serve this purpose. Working together, we can accomplish great things. Unfortunately, the world doesn’t value unique character. In fact, being different often translates to being misunderstood.Take it from one who’s been there. I am certainly not like other people. I was raised in a Christian home where faith, hope, honesty and integrity still mean more than anything else in the world. Above all, my brother and I were taught t (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Listening to Your Inner Voice May Save Your Life |
| |
| "I was washing my breakfast dishes one morning when it occurred to me to go visit a friend who lived several miles away. I did my work and started to dress for my journey, when there came over me such a feeling of depression, or despondency, or gloom, that I could not understand. I kept on getting ready, all the time trying to reason away the feeling. But it would not go. Finally, I got my hat on and one glove and started for the door, when such a heaviness came over me that I turned back into my room and sat down saying, 'God, I want to know what the meaning is of all this?' The answer came loud, strong, and firm, 'Stay at home.' I stayed, and taking off my hat, gloves and cape I felt so (read full article) |
