 Article Title :: Motorcycle Thoughts

I've heard many non-motorcyclists make stereo-typical and condescending remarks alluding to the mentality of motorcyclists. Comments which classify riders into groups depending on what type or make of motorcycle one rides. What kind of pessimistic person would deem a “Harley” rider a ‘bad-boy, looking for a fight’ or a sport-bike rider an ‘irresponsible punk, trying to go fast’? It seems to me that most people who have never ridden a motorcycle make these types of interpretations out of fear or ignorance. While it is true that there are those motorcycle riders who DO fit the stereo-typical persona, it is also true that there are more absent-minded and oblivious drivers of  (read full article)

 Article Title :: Effective Motorcycle Security

On the whole, motorcycle owners put more love and care into their machines than do owners of cars or trucks. That "love and care" directly translates into hundreds of dollars spent on customizations and maintenance. Sadly, between 30,000 to 50,000 bikes are stolen each year in the United States alone (based on theft rates from 2000 through 2005). And to think, many of these thefts could have been prevented with a little common sense and security.Common Sense This should go without saying, but don't leave the keys in the ignition or the motor running when you're not on the bike! Never leave your bike in a dimly lit, hard to see location. Put the bike in you  (read full article)

 Article Title :: Mini Motos Mark I and Mark II

Mini Motos have been popular for sometime now in the UK with various type of models now available on the market range from the standard mini moto to ones with performance upgrades. These upgrades are things like K&N filter, sports exhausts, body styling and graphics, and some have boost bottles or NOS which really adds power to your mini moto.As mini motos have developed an interesting myth has started to occur, which is ‘Mark I’ and ‘Mark II Bikes’. The ‘Mark’ of the bike is actually relatively immaterial. All it means is that it is the manufacturer who produce the bikes second generation model of the it; this does not necessarily mean that it is better than other manu  (read full article)

 Article Title :: Upgrading the Stock Air Box on Your Victory Motorcycle

Removing the Stock Air Intake System on a Victory MotorcycleWith the basic need of all motorcyclists being the need for more horsepower. I decided to upgrade my Victory motorcycle from the stock air intake to a custom aftermarket air filter. Why? The stock air boxes are often too restrictive. They do not allow enough air to freely flow into the engine. The Victory stock air box is a mechanical suction. The air is sucked in through the left side of the coffin like air box. There are a few modifications that can be done to the stock filter to get a direct flow of air into the throttle bodies. But these require drilling ugly 1-inch holes in the front of your cheap looking plastic air   (read full article)

This article keeps it real.As I mentioned, I purchased my Victory Kingpin in February of 2004 -- A very good year. After looking at Harley Davidson and seeing how Harley has become a m  (read full article)

 Article Title :: Motorcycle Riders – Say GOOD-BYE To Black/Scuff Shoe Marks Caused By Gear 'Up-Shifting'

Although the first motorcycle was invented over a hundred years ago and has seen many major changes since its first inception, one item which seems to have been forgotten and left out of the technology advancement is the motorcycle gear shifter lever.And, it’s this motorcycle gear shifter lever that, after all these years, has never failed in ruining every motorcyclists’ boots and shoes by leaving those tale-tale ugly black shifter marks on them.Amazing as it sounds, up until now no one has done anything as far as changing or upgrading the gear shifter lever to prevent this irritating problem - which occurs during gear ‘up-shifting’ actions.The other problem w  (read full article)
