| Article Title :: How To Teach Your Music (& Make Money) |
| |
|
Unless you are on a tour from January 1 to December 31, and are
doing back-to-back television, radio and print interviews to
support your new release, you probably have, at least, a couple
of hours to 'kill', so to speak, each week.
In fact, it is likely that you have more than a couple of hours
to kill that you would like to put to good use. As such, have
you ever thought of using that time to help other 'everyday'
citizens who may also have an interest in learning some aspect
of music?
Such a venture would go especially well for those few of you who
are *not* on a continuous tour from January 1 to December 31,
and are *not* doing back-to-back television, radio and print
interviews (read full article) |

| Article Title :: How To Get TV Stations At Your Gigs |
| |
|
Did you know that you can get television and radio stations to
attend your gigs and give you media coverage? Well, you can,
*IF* you are performing the "right types" of gigs.
So, what are the right types of gigs?
Well, in short, these are gigs that are most likely to inspire
area stations to cover them because they are, largely, non
profit organization and charity fundraisers that benefit human
interest causes.
Just a few such charities/non-profit organizations include; Red
Cross, American Cancer Society, YMCA, YWCA, Boys & Girls Clubs
of America, Campus Crusade for Christ, etc. And, along with
these few, there are, literally, innumerable more that readily
seek musical entertainmen (read full article) |

| Article Title :: How To Earn $30,000 With Your Music Within A Year |
| |
|
As an independent musician and/or recording artist, if you did
*NOT* earn $30,000 (or more) with your music alone last year,
let's jump right in and get you started with doing so this year.
Again, bear in mind that the main necessary ingredient is
"consistency" of every aspect, and on a weekly basis.
Remember! This is a worst case scenario, in regard to what you
should be able to easily earn within each aspect, and you are
very likely to earn much more.
The "lead generator(s)" in each aspect reflects the various
resources that you will use to obtain results in these areas.
So, here is the financial mathematical layout.

| Article Title :: Piano: It Is Easy To Compose Piano Sheet Music |
| |
|
Why is it easy to compose piano music?
Because you have to start from where you are. This should be
fairly easy; otherwise you have not started from where you are.
A suggestion is to start writing piano pieces for beginners in a
progressive order. The idea is that as the pieces get more
complicated for the player they will also become more
complicated for you to notate and compose and you will
subsequently learn as you write.
How is composing beneficial for your piano playing?
One important reason is that your compositional endeavours will
make you more and more aware of intrinsic musical subtleties in
the music of other composers. When you start to think and feel

| Article Title :: How Shopping Malls Can Increase Your Gig Audience |
| |
|
If you have been to a shopping mall on, at least, one occasion,
you know the tremendous crowds that most of them attract daily.
Hundreds, and even thousands, of daily shoppers flock to the
largest shopping malls.
And, while most malls have large crowds year round, two of
their busiest shopping periods are during summer and Christmas
seasons, which adds even more potential mall shoppers.
Also, most people tend to, naturally, shop in their own
neighborhood malls in the interest of convenience and saving
time.
And, there is an entirely different crowd that frequents malls
during summers, and that is the one that desires to stay cool
for free while reducing its home cooling bills.

| Article Title :: How Record Pools Can Make Musicians Rich! |
| |
|
Record pools...ever heard of them? The chance is that you have
not. And, there is an equal reason that you have not. And, even
though major record labels have used them for years, and
continue to use record pools extensively, record pools are one
of the most secretive elements within the Music industry.
Yet, although record pools can literally make you and your music
project an overnight success, they can also make you filthy
rich. And, if you utilize enough of them often enough, you can
get filthy rich!
But, let's answer the foremost question first...what are record
pools?
Record pools are music organizations that distribute the music
from labels and artists to deejays who are poo (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Home Run Gigs |
| |
|
Are you still playing your heart out to small audiences on gigs
at unappreciative dives (excuse me, I meant to say nightclubs)
that feel paying you a couple of hundred dollars for a 3-4 hour
gig is also paying you about $150 too much?
Unless you are a masochist, why do you continue to take such
beatings? Is it due to laziness, complacency, cynicism, your now
being jaded, or a combination of any of the above?
Are you aware that you could dramatically improve your live
performance income by making simple changes in the types of
performances that you accept?
For instance, see the below list of gig types and the average
earnings possible, compared to traditional nightclub work:

| Article Title :: Does Your CD Cover $ell (Or Suck)? |
| |
|
Oh, I know the last part of the title (Suck) isn't a very
pleasant description to apply to anyone's CD cover. But, in the
interest of plain old honesty, and to face our demons head on, I
wanted to (again) utilize a worst case scenario that we can only
improve from.
And, having said that, think of the average (and not so
average) recording artist's CD cover, and I'll bet you will
agree that 9 out of 10 CD covers present the artist simply
posing while staring straight into the camera.
And, the few artists who want to appear different, unique and
diverse, simply either turn sideways, stare into deep space, or
gaze downward or backward for their photo sessions.

| Article Title :: Alternative Sales Sources For Your Music |
| |
|
Following, is a list of alternative sources that may be
interested in carrying your music for sale for their particular
clients and customers, if only they were aware of your music.
Most of the clients and customers are already "captive"
audiences who are waiting on a product or service, so why not
promote (and sell) to them as they wait?
Additionally, if these sources have their own in-house music
system (which many do), you should also speak with them
regarding adding your music to their own in-house "playlist."
In some instances, I have also suggested certain genres that I
feel will lend themselves best to the particular businesses
below, however, it will also depend on the b (read full article) |

| Article Title :: How To Get State-of-the-Art Video Singles Cheap! |
| |
|
When it comes to promoting their new music releases, I have
found that most musicians only consider radio as the vehicle for
exposing their music to the public.
Rarely do they consider publicity, in the form of print media,
i.e., music magazines, weekly arts and entertainment
publications and newspapers as support tools to help support
their radio airplay (another subject I shall address shortly).
But, even rarer, is their consideration of the importance of
having videos for their singles. A video of your single, which
was once considered an optional luxury, is now a standard, vital
and necessary tool if you are going to compete with fellow
independent recording artists for media an (read full article) |
