| Article Title :: Scarcity in my life |
| |
|
How many times do you feel that you don't have what you want in
your life? You find that it is in lack, and you feel it is
scarce in your presence? You become conscious of it, and as you
become conscious of it, you are radiating a vibration of
scarcity. The Law of Attraction can be defined as "that which is
unto itself, is drawn." Therefore if you are vibrating scarcity
out, you will continue to feel the scarcity in your life and not
move toward having what you want, and feeling abundance.
Imagine going for a ride on your bike, and noticing all the
lovely houses. Inside, you feel that they are wonderful and
you'd never be able to afford those houses. You feel a belief of
lack and scarcity (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Performance Contracts |
| |
|
I recall when I started out performing, I had a tabla gig at a
festival in London and the agent who had then found me the gig
asked me to sign a contract saying that I'm going to perform and
I'm going to be paid £150 for the 50 minute slot I had. I was
invited to present an Indian Classical solo performance. At that
time, I thought that the idea of the performance contract was
useless. All I need to do is get on stage, perform, get off
stage, get paid and that would be enough. However, I did sign it
to keep on his terms and although I did get paid, I didn't
realise at the time what the point of the contract was.
As I slowly gathered more information, I found out the reason
why that agent (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Hustle + Passion + Resiliency |
| |
|
Over the past year and more, I've come to really understand what
passion, hustle and resiliency are. If you don't have the
passion for what you're doing, how on earth will you really be
successful right? On the other hand, when you really enjoy what
you're doing, then what you're attracting into your life is
absolutely fabulous, right? Do you remember a situation in your
life when you really did something because you enjoyed it, and
as you continued, your drive, energy and enthusiasm increased?
How did it feel? Now, wouldn't you like to have that all the
time, every single day, in every single thing that you do? I
sure do...
Back around 2001, I was really frustrated that I couldn't get

| Article Title :: Discover The Perfect Place To Perform |
| |
|
Once you know what your Unique Selling Proposition is as a
musician (we covered this in the last issue), it's time to ask
yourself what kind of venue you want to be letting those talents
out in. This is the process that will help you determine your
"Perfect Performance Venue" so that you don't waste your energy
and efforts searching for performances in the wrong area! Take
some time to do this visualisation. It will only take a few
minutes, but you can go on for as long as you want. Think about
your performance, and imagine yourself performing somewhere. Now
step back from that performance but remain in the venue. Look
around, and absorb the setting, the area, the smell, the sounds,
the siz (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Relationships |
| |
|
Over the past few years or so, I've had the chance to meet many
successful people. Actually, many of them I have known for years
and I meet them regularly, but I guess I had just taken the fact
that they were successful for granted. When I realised I could
learn so much from them, and see what they do to be successful,
maybe I can be successful too. I ask all of them a simple
question: "How can I become successful like you?" and the reply
I always get is along the lines of "How successful you are is
dependent on the quality of your relationships."
This has got me thinking and pondering on the topic of
RELATIONSHIPS for a long time now, and people who know me well
enough, have always said t (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Become Performance Attractive |
| |
|
This article will show you how to make yourself more Performance
Attractive by standing out in the musicians' marketplace. One of
the secrets of attracting lots of performances to you (as
opposed to pushing hard to get them, like you may be doing now)
is to stand out big time and offer things others don't.
There's a standard marketing term called the USP, Unique Selling
Proposition, that's going to be very important in helping you
(and prospective performance managers) figure out why they
should hire you as opposed to the other musician down the street.
Let's face it, as human beings we are all unique and different.
As musicians (especially self-employed!), we all have something
that set (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Enhance Your Creativity! |
| |
|
We all have creative blocks from time to time. Creativity
requires positive thinking! As a musician, its important to
believe in yourself and create the right environment in order to
feel more creative and be spontaneous. Of course, if you don't
take yourself first, you can't be creative at all. To increase
your creativity, make sure you get enough sleep, practice deep
breathing, daydream, and find other ways to relax. Eat foods
that nourish you and drink plenty of water. Once your basic
needs are met, your body will allow your mind to explore new
ideas.
The environment is also an important factor in enhancing your
creativity. For example, one who would like to read would like a
quiet env (read full article) |

| |
|
This is the perfect playlist for HALLOWEEN!
I figured these tracks would work great for this time of year
when everyone gets dressed up and goes out to parties or trick
or treating. I figured a mostly electronica mix would work great
so this is what I have come up with.
I start things off with The Hacker of Miss Kittin and The Hacker
fame. It's a great spooky, dark track of minimal electro sounds
that The Hacker is known for. The album comes off of his latest
release Reves Mecanique. Those of you who are Miss Kittin fans
can also find a track that she guests on.
I then head off to the Campy Industrial sounds of My Life With
The Thrill Kill Kult. This track comes off of the Confessions (read full article) |

| |
|
As I understand it, the members of Archer Avenue don't share
a hometown, but are spread out between San Antonio, El Paso and
Houston. How did you guys meet up and end up forming a band
together?
DAVE: (drums) We met in the SA bar scene, Jack (vocals, guitar)
and I knew each other from Trinity University. I had known Marc
(lead guitar) for years and we been playing around town with our
band at the time Face Down, and Stephan (Bass) sort of appeared
later, but Marc and I had been going every now and again to
watch bands he played with. I remember seeing Stephan play the
Rabbit my first week in SA with Psycho Plague. The four of us
first played together in Summer 2003; the purpose bein (read full article) |

Cocktail Party! |

Henry Mancini was a master musician. His music will always be
remembered and anytime you watch a film that he scored you'll
learn to identify his sound and hear what a great musician he
was. You can actually hear his trademark sound and get to
recognize his style.
Pink Panther's Penthouse Party came out to coincide with the
release of the DVD box set of the Pink Panther Movies. The CD
includes the original version of the Pink Panther Theme as well
as remixes of it by Fischerspooner, which basically adds the
signature Fischerspooner sound from (the #1 album) and mixes a
modern dance beat to the original. Also, there's the Malibu
Remix, which adds a big beat sound to the original version of
