Article Title :: Diet For Heartburn
Heartburn is a common digestive complaint which affects an estimated 15 million Americans every day, and 60 million once a month. Relief of mild heartburn is typically achieved through diet and lifestyle changes, although medication (eg. antacids) is usually necessary if the heartburn is caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).What is Heartburn?  Article Title :: No More Sugary Sodas in US Schools - Let's Give Big Bill a Pat on the Back
Love him or hate him, former United States president Bill Clinton deserves a big pat on the back for his role in brokering a deal that puts a stop to the sale of sugary, fizzy sodas in the country’s schools. The nation’s top beverage makers have agreed to sell only water, unsweetened juice and low-fat milks to elementary and middle schools. High school vending machines and cafeterias will see a similar exodus of sugary sodas, although diet drinks and sports drinks would still be available.Announcing the deal in New York today (04 May 2006) Clinton described the deal as “a bold step forward in the struggle to help 35 million young people lead healthier lives,” adding that i  (read full article)

Article Title :: The Health Benefits of Tea
When I was a child, many years ago, very few people who I knew of, were aware of natural substances that were good for a person's health. My mother drank instant coffee that one purchased in supermarkets. With the instant coffee, one only had to add hot water, and the coffee was drinkable. My mother drank very little tea, which would always be in tea bag form and was always black tea. Also, with the tea bag, one only had to add hot water in a cup, and then let the tea steep from the bag into the hot water for a few moments. There was never any talk, at least in our household, of the benefits of tea or coffee, for that matter. I don't even know if there was much talk of doing what wa  (read full article)

Article Title :: Phytochemicals For Your Immune Health
When you were growing up your mom may have fought to get you to eat your vegetables. Or maybe you're the parent fighting with your kids to eat the right foods. What many of us don't know is that our food also fights for us. My mom used to dress the dinner plate in full matching regalia; yellow squash nestled next to green asparagus. Red and yellow peppers tossed around the salad added spectacular color. Now dear mom knew these foods were healthy and she loved to decorate my plate with the colors of the season, but did she know that these wholesome foods contain phytochemicals? Phytochemicals are the active substances in plants that give them their color, flavor, odo  (read full article)
