| Article Title :: Blue Spruce Trees -Not a Good Choice in Doylestown Pa. |
| |
|
Blue spruce trees have been reported to be suffering from the
Blue Spruce Rust in the Doylestown Pa. area. This Rust is
difficult to control. For this reason alone I would suggest that
you NOT plant the Blue Spruces.
If my farm were run like a democracy and one man one vote
applied for whether we should plant or sell Colorado Blue
Spruce, the vote would 100% against the Blue Spruce Tree. The
Blue Spruce also known as Picea pungens Engelm is noted for
being majestic, stately, with its silver blue color and
symetricle form. Its color can range from blue to green. The
color variations are genetic traits of the tree. For uniform
color from tree to tree one should use grafted cuttings, which

|
Like our farm, Highland Hill Farm, Doylestown Pa. is located in
an eara with lots of clay. We therefore like plants that grow
well in clay. Arborvitae, in particular the American Arborvitae

| Article Title :: Some Tips On Water Sport Safety |
| |
|
There are a few crucial things to consider when being around the
water, let's explore them.
Learn to swim
Swimming is such a natural action for humans that many babies
are born with the ability to swim! If you don't already know
how, take lessons! This should be common sense for any one that
lives near the water, but I think everyone should know how to
swim.
Never swim or dive anywhere except clearly marked areas with a
lifeguard. When a boat slides out into the lake on a sweltering
summer day, a strong swimmer wearing easily dried clothes is
heartily tempted to jump right in!
However, some lakes can be extremely deceiving, seeming
bottomless, when in fact they are only 12 feet deep in (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Boondocking America |
| |
| Boondocking is fun! Boondockers go anywhere they want, at any time they want and at any speed they want! If you are a member of Loners on Wheels (LoW) or any other single RV'ing group you will want to boondock at least some of the time.Boondocking provides an almost perfect way to see America for little housing costs. I have parked on streets in small towns and explored all the town had to offer. (Get me to tell you about the two weeks I spent in Williams, Arizona, one night!) I've enjoyed libraries, bars, restaurants, parks and who knows how many retail stores. The towns benefit from my spending and I benefit by being able to see the out-of-the-way spots across this country. (read full article) |
