| Article Title :: Tracking Children |
| |
| With today technology, it is enable parents to know exactly where their children are. GPS technology offers an exciting new means by which parents can ascertain their children's whereabouts at all times.
A deep seated concern for children is instinctive. It's the reason so many parents have spent late evenings pacing the floor waiting for a teenager to return home. And the cause of lingering concerns when a child is away.
The concerns also make a great deal of practical sense. Children are too often victimized in today's society, so the ability to check on a child's whereabouts at all times can be a great asset. And children, knowing that their whereabouts are bei (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Do you know when to begin teaching your child to read? |
| |
| It is never too early to begin teaching your child to read, or at least laying the foundation for early literacy skills, and it can definitely be left too late!
If you are not sure then think about this. Statistically, more American children suffer long-term life-long harm from the process of learning to read than from parental abuse, accidents, and all other childhood diseases and disorders combined. In purely economic terms, reading related difficulties cost our nation more than the war on terrorism, crime, and drugs combined.
Reading problems are a further challenge to our world by contribute significantly to the perpetuation of socio-economic, racial and ethnic (read full article) |

| Article Title :: How To Find Out If Your Child Is Doing Drugs - Home Drug Testing Kits |
| |
| Are you concerned that your son, daughter, or family member is doing drugs? Is the prospect of having to bring them to a clinic too horrible for you to even contemplate? You should take time to consider another option. Why not try home drug-testing as an alternative?
1. Why Home Drug Testing?
Looking at it from an objective point of view, home drug-testing provides a lot of advantages for people who value their privacy among other things. It is also cheaper to buy a do-it-yourself drug testing kit than to go to a drug testing facility and have the examination there. It is less hassle and less worry on your part. | Article Title :: Stop Lying Now |
| |
| Do you have a consistent problem with your child lying to you, even though he or she is normally a “good” child? Sometimes the lies are even about things that don’t really matter or your child continues to lie in the face of overwhelming proof to the contrary?
It is my firm belief that we will not end lying behavior in our children until we take away the consequences for telling the truth. This is a concept explored in greater detail within Nancy Buck’s book, Peaceful Parenting®.
How many times as a child were you told by your parents that you wouldn’t get into “as much” trouble if only you would be honest and tell the truth? I think this must be a r (read full article) |

| Article Title :: How Do I Get My Child to Be Polite? |
| |
| Parents often ask me questions that start like this:
How do I get my child to ……?
Be polite … be considerate … be generous … share … etc.
Regardless of what fills in that blank, part of my answer is always the same:
… you don’t have to get your child to do anything!
Instead, you can show him or her by living your own life as an example, and making sure to notice and respond positively to any movement he or she demonstrates in the desired direction. I noticed how you looked right into Aunt Sally’s eyes as you answered her question. Most people really appreciate that!

| |
| In recent years, there has been a lot of debate surrounding the issue of breastfeeding. While the decision to breastfeed is a personal one, there are countless benefits for both mother and child that ought to be explored. One of the most significant reasons to breastfeed your child relates to the quality of food your child is ingesting. Although baby formula may meet the nutritional requirements of children, it is not the ideal food for babies.
According to the World Health Organization, Breastfeeding is the absolute best source of food for babies. Commercial baby formula is comprised of countless preservatives and by-products of other food production techniques that have no pro (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Clean Your House Green for your Children's Sake |
| |
| My thirteen-year-old daughter recently called me up to say she had cleaned the whole kitchen and bathroom herself. So many emotions ran through me at that moment. First, I was shocked by the fact that no one asked her to do so. I was also happy that she had done this but anxious at the same time because this was a Thursday afternoon and knowing that during the next 24 hours would come my payback, a ride home from a party or a couple of her friends sleeping over for the weekend. But the one thing I was not feeling was worried that my little girl was exposed to toxic chemicals that most of us use in our homes. Two years ago we made the switch to all natural non-toxic cleaning products. (read full article) |

| Article Title :: The Post-Holiday Blues In Stepfamilies |
| |
| In stepfamilies, big holiday expectations can lead to big
disappointment--and post-holiday blues, says Susan Wisdom, a
licensed professional counselor and co-author of
“Stepcoupling.”As a stepmom, I know about expectations. Every year, just
before the holidays, I start thinking about how to recreate
Christmas Eve at my grandmother’s house. In her big
two-story home, my family and I crowded into her dining room
and kitchen with about two dozen relatives. We munched on
turkey, cranberries and dressing, then topped off the meal
with my grandma’s home-made cookies. With my 14 siblings and
cousins, I played board games while my dad and uncles
stomped around on the roo (read full article) |
