 Article Title :: O Futuro do Brasil

 Article Title :: Obit.

A popular political party that rose to tremendous power in the 20th century, the Republican party redefined the nation's political agenda and dramatically reshaped the role of government in the private lives of its citizens. The resilience of the party was observed throughout such morally testing times as the Nixon resignation and the Iran-Contra affair hearings. The party was symbolized by an elephant and possessed the animal-like quality of stubbornness that was often imitated but never duplicated. Placing an inordinate amount of "political capital" in an oft repeated but rarely defined term known as "values," the contradiction between the party's actions and its rhetoric o  (read full article)

 Article Title :: Obvious often means overlooked

by Kurt St. AngeloLibertarian Writers' Bureauhttp://www.writersbureau.orgMy favorite childhood story was about a herd of hippos that played hide n'seek. The baby hippo's best hiding place was on a ledge just above – thoughin plain view of – the herd's elders, who never found the baby because theynever looked up. Obvious often means overlooked.And so it is with jail overcrowding in the Circle City. County jails lackspace for everyone who's been arrested. Last year there were almost 2,000emergency releases to free space.Led by a group of mostly Republicans, including Marion County ProsecutorCarl Brizzi and Superior Court judges Ca  (read full article)

 Article Title :: Of Snakes and Terrorism

With the passing of Arafat, the Middle East will take on a slightly different face, allowing the possibilities for prophetic fulfillment to speed up. The pathway is now open for renewed efforts to procure peace in the Middle East, using the avenue of the formation of the promised Palestinian State. But this window of opportunity may not remain open for long. Indeed pressure is now mounting from the United States, encouraged by Britian, to get on with the steps necessary to implement the terms of the "Road Map." January 9, 2005 has already been scheduled for Palestinian elections. The emerging line-up of candidates all have questionable backgrounds harking back to the  (read full article)

 Article Title :: Ohio Mosque Promotes Murder

One day - I'll never forget it - my former "Palestinian" student-neighbors purposely showed me a newsletter from the Islamic Center in Perrysburg, Ohio that had a story from the Haddith - sayings attributed to Mohammad - that spoke of a war in the last days between Jews and Muslims, and how Jews would hide behind trees and the trees would say, "There's a Jew behind me, kill him!" except for one tree that would shelter the Jews.The next month the singles' club from the Worldwide Church of God went to the mosque for a dinner-tour, followed by a question and answer session with the Egyptian imam/religious leader (who has since died and was praised as one who supposedly sought peace bet  (read full article)

 Article Title :: OK! Now I Am Ready To Close Gitmo!

A friend of mine and I were talking about the horrible claims of abuse by our soldiers in the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Gitmo has been the source of many complaints over the way we have been treating those captured waging a war against the United States. And as my friend and I discussed the abuse of our “guests” we realized that we were only willing to support certain things in the name of preserving liberty.We could ignore the complaints about the prisoners being required to stay in stress positions and the strain they may endure if they are not co-operative. We could forgive the horrific acts of forcing them to strip down to their birthday suits in the name of getting inf  (read full article)

 Article Title :: Olympic Aspirations

Olympic AspirationsThe war-drum throbb'd no longer, and the battle-flags were furl'd In the Parliament of man, the Federation of the world... -- TennysonIn an hour long ellipsoid procession of various sized groups, each sporting its unique colors and uniform, the segregated delegations of Olympians enter the stadium each four years behind the standard of their respective nations. After a frenetic fortnight of agonistic woes and triumphs the stadium again sees the contestants assembled, but on this occasion, competition now history, they are permitted to mingle, exchange pins, hats, addresses and recollections in a poig  (read full article)

 Article Title :: Stag Party

Stag Party Way, way, way back in history the stag party was celebrated in all sorts of ways, and you thought it was a modern day invention, shame on you. The Vikings stag party would consist of flagons of ale, pillaging, buxom wenches and fighting, well they did think they would only go to heaven if they died in a fight. Poor Henry VIII, he had more stag parties then a busy working girl in Amsterdam. Do you think he chopped the heads off his wives because he was addicted to stag parties ?? Wow, we are writing history here! These days, the majority of us have been on holiday with large groups of friends, been to University together, partied together its like getting di  (read full article)
