"They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:
But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the
desert. And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into
their soul." Ps. 106:13-15
I have long enjoyed reading the one hundredth and sixth chapter
of the book of Psalms where David chronicled the Israel's past,
creating, if you will, his own history book. But I failed to
realize the Biblical reason for keeping a record of a Nation's
or an individual's past. Paul explained that "whatsoever things
were written aforetime were written for our learning." (Rom.
15:4) God wants mankind to learn from our mistakes that we may
"cease to do evil; learn to do well." (Is (read full article) |

Most of the problems we encounter later in our lives stem from
things that began when we were very young. Mistakes and
misconceptions that were fertilized and encouraged to grow, can
often cause us great harm as we age. Often, if seems like a
small thing at first, even innocent. For example, teaching
children about the tooth fairy or Easter Bunny may seem fun and
harmless, but there will come a day when that child wants and
needs real answers. No sane adult still believes in the tooth
fairy or Santa Clause, so that means at some point in their
lives they were introduced to the evidence of reality. There was
a moment that they discovered for themselves that it had all
been "pretend." For a w (read full article) |

DEU 4:27 And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and
ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the
LORD shall lead you. DEU 4:28 And there ye shall serve gods, the
work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor
hear, nor eat, nor smell.
From DEU 31:16-17 until the end, it was a mystery as to what
God is.
DEU 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God,
thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and
with all thy soul. DEU 4:30 When thou art in tribulation, and
all these things are come upon thee, ***even in the latter
days,*** if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient
unto his voice;

The New Age Movement
New Age - A Paradigm Shift to Divine Consciousness & a Universal
Philosophy The New Age Movement (NAM) is a revival of spiritual
and divine values and can be called as a Divine Regeneration
Movement. New Age Philosophy has conquered the West
intellectually and Western culture is currently experiencing a
phenomenal shift - sociological, spiritual & ideological. It's a
secular, multi-cultural, multi-religious synthesis, of the
Oriental mystical philosophies, mainly Hinduism, Buddhism,
Taoism & Western Occultism, emphasising Holism, the doctrine
that Reality is organically One ( now taught in American
Universities after Einstein's Theory of Relativity ). . Behind

Who Lives Your Life? by A K Whitehead
We often hear people make remarks like "I live my life to the
full" or "No one tells me what to do" and so forth. Those who
make such remarks are either worldly people or people whose
attitudes are dominated by the world.
Following The World Things are, or should be, very
different for the Christian. Why? Simply because someone who is
imitating Jesus cannot at the same time be imitating the world.
Revelation 12.9 tells us two interesting facts. The first is
that, when the ancient serpent, or Satan was defeated he was not
consigned to hell but was hurled to the earth, and his angels
with him.
Secondly, we are told that Satan leads the whole wo (read full article) |

Who Prays When You Pray? A K Whitehead
When we pray, who does the praying? Almost any knowledgable
Christian will give the same response to that question. In fact,
it is a questions which separates the knowledgable from the less
knowledgeable Christian.
The response, of course, ought to be that it is the Holy Spirit
who does the praying, not us. For example, Paul tells us in
Ephesians 6:18 that we should pray in the Spirit on all
occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. So however we
are praying and whatever we are praying for, it should be the
Holy Spirit who is doing the praying.
But is it?

Why People Are Not Healed - And How To Prevent It by A K
Whitehead
Why are some people not healed when we pray with them?
This is one of the most recurrent questions in the Christian
healing ministry. Everyone who has prayed with others for their
healing has experience the apparent lack of response to their
prayer. Yet the gospels lead us to believe that Jesus wishes
everyone to be healed. Why, then, are some not healed?
In the book I wrote with my wife, "The Keys To Praying For
Healing", we discuss this at some length. There is no simple
answer to that question. A range of possible answers lies both
with the pray-er and with the prayed-for. This article briefly
considers the latter.

| |
|
How Healers Can Prevent Healing by A K Whitehead Do you have a
tendency to shift the vblame for things that seem to turn out
wrong? Most of us do! mThe occurrance of nonhealing in the
Christian ministry is no exception. Usually we shift the blame
onto the poor individual with whom we are praying.
Look at most books on healing. They will have a chapter on
nonhealing in which all the causes are attributed one way or
another to person being prayed with.
The problems are fairly common, in the sense of occuring quite
frequently. Ask yourself: which of the following is/are most
likely to apply to you? That will put you on the road to
significantly greater success in your praying for healing.

Meeting Jesus In Meditation A K Whitehead
There are many approaches to prayer. Not least because there are
many different needs. But the greatest of all our needs is to
get nearer to Jesus. The most powerful form of prayer for this
purpose is arguably Christian meditation.
This article discusses some of the special aspects of Christian
meditation
Sources Of The Benefits Of Christian Meditation
Meditation has a very long history in Christianity and has taken
various forms. But meditation on Scripture, and not least the
gospels, is a kind which has great power.
How does the power come about?. From three sources: which work
together to bring us closer to God:
1. From the Holy S (read full article) |

How Do You Write Poetry? by A K Whitehead
The very short answer is: don't write at all unless you have to.
The short answer is: in numerous different ways. A somewhat
longer answer is: find the way that best suits you - that comes
only from experience.
But, one might reasonably ask, what different methods are there
which can be tried in order to get started? Well...
Don't Wait For Inspiration But don't take that as an
absolute which suggests that one should not be inspired at all.
Of course, we all want inspiration. Yet if we wait to be
inspired for the whole poem, most of us will have taken the very
short answer given above and we shall write very little and very
infrequently.
