Article Title :: Faith is not something you work on, or work up!

When we get to know Christ, as is our privilege to know Him, our lives will be lives of continual obedience. Many people are confused as to the relationship between faith and works? Just how is one saved? “Believe in Jesus” is the common response. But how does one “believe” in Jesus? Is this an act of sheer spiritual willpower? Do you just force yourself to believe?I remember asking this question, “What does one do to believe in Jesus?” I was told as a response, “Give your heart to Jesus.” “How do I give me heart to Jesus?” I asked. “Come to the foot of the cross,” was the response. Frustrated with the metaphors, I asked “How do I come to the foot o  (read full article)

Article Title :: Faith - sermon notes.

Have you ever taken a child shopping for a toy? Sometimes they know exactly what they want, sometimes they jump from one item to the next loving something and then dropping it for the next toy that is shinier or more interesting. With shiny eyes they look at you and say “Please daddy” but you are not sure what they really want. The Bible says in Mark 11:23 “Whoever says to this mountain ‘ Be removed and cast into the sea’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says”.Faith changes us, believing makes us act differently. When we have asked God something it is done! All we have to do is walk into i  (read full article)

Article Title :: Faith under fire!

If God's Church refuses to stand up and speak out and quit cowering behind the pulpit and only preaching to a converted audience (shamefully few others know about us) - turning this world right side up with our God-given talents, means and message - we'll suffer the same destruction decreed upon our unrepentant peoples. As this link proves, time is fast running out. The Scripture also says "the righteous are as bold as a lion." Is that why the Church of God hasn't roared and let everyone - from the least to the greatest - know what the Bible prophesies is coming? Where is the THUNDER before the STORM?   (read full article)

Article Title :: FALSE PROPHET OF THE ANTI-CHRIST EXPOSED

Pastor Juan Ortiz with Occludado Hermanadad, of Mexico, predicted John Kerry would be the new president of the United States in 2004. Over 30,000 people on the Internet read about his claim that God told him to make this prophecy. They all now know that pastor Ortiz is a false prophet of the anti-Christ.Some of my readers were biblically astute and kind enough to share their insights with me. I will use two emails I received to illustrate the use of test number four to determine who is a false prophet. That test is; does the Holy Spirit within you bear witness to the truth of what the prophet has said?Ms. A wrote, “I am a Catholic convert, and see Kerry as an evil man”. M  (read full article)

Fiction Suspense Thriller with a Christian MessageAuthor Interview with Lynn A. Coleman, Fighting for Bread & RosesBy Lisa M.  Article Title :: Fight the Good Fight

The Bible says the just shall live by faith, and without faith, we cannot please God. (Romans 1:17; Hebrews 11:6) Operating in faith is taking God at His Word by believing what He says is true. We can know that we believe what He says is true if we are acting like it is, for faith without works is dead. (James 2:20) Sometimes we can become so weary in waiting for our dreams to come to pass that it becomes discouraging. Just like I said last week, the devil will not just stand by and watch while God prospers us. 1 Timothy 6:12 says, “Fight the good fight of faith.” We must not allow discouragement to dim our hope! There will alwa  (read full article)

Article Title :: Fighting the Boundaries

"Great peace have they who love your law,and nothing can make them stumble." (Psalm 119:165 NIV)I was taking my puppy for her daily morning walk. As usual, she had more energy than I could dream of, especially at that hour. She pulled on her leash, going as fast as she could with me holding on. If only she could get free, she could run and chase to her heart's content. But to her, that leash restrained her fun and her freedom. What my puppy viewed as a restriction was actually a boundary created by her loving owner for her protection.I imagine this is how many young people feel about their parents' rules, and God's laws. If only they could be free, they could really live!  (read full article)

Article Title :: Finding God in the Clouds

"In the Bible, clouds are always associated with God. Clouds are the sorrows, suffering, or providential circumstances, within or without our personal lives, which actually seem to contradict the sovereignty of God. Yet it is though these very clouds that the Spirit of God is teaching us how to walk by faith. They are a sign that God is there." (Steven Curtis Chapman)It was a cool August night during the Summer before my Junior year in high school. I was just getting off work on what seemed to be the worst day of my life. I was having a mental break-down, nothing was going right, and every negative thing in my life seemed to hit me at once. The clock in my truck read 2:13am a  (read full article)

Article Title :: Finding True Happiness: Part One

1 Timothy 6:3 3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmising, 5 Perverse disputing of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. What does it take for man to   (read full article)
