| Article Title :: Businesses Face Spyware Threats on a Day to Day basis. |
| |
|
The network administrator an a company ran a normal web activity
report of all the enterprise's users and found that the
employees were logging thousands of hits per day on a single
site that had nothing to do with the business. What was found
was not that the employees were slacking while at work, rather
the network was infected with spyware that was tracking the
surfers' activity then sending the information back to the web
site for a third part to review and use, all without the
employees' knowledge.
Spyware can and will slow a computer's bandwidth as well as
cause the network to gradual decrease its speed. Many companies
are beginning to worry about spyware because it has become so

| Article Title :: Email Anti Spam And Virus Protection For Businesses - There Is
Hope |
| |
|
With anti spam vendors offering low cost licensing, businesses
can now afford advanced email spam and virus protection with a
simple to use interface at a much lower cost. The great thing
about technology is that as it evolves it gets faster,
additional features and economical. Over the past few years the
same evolution has taken place with anti spam technology and
services. In large part this can be attributed to the open
source software community plus enterprising companies enhancing
the capabilities of this software and packaging it into easy to
use anti spam appliances.
It is not practical to have anti spam software running on
desktops in a networked business environment. Managing all

Firewalls - Spam - Popups |

|
What are viruses?
Viruses - A virus is a software program that is capable of
replicating with little or no user intervention, and the
replicated programs also replicate further. Viruses piggyback on
real programs. For example, a virus may attach itself to a
program such as a spreadsheet program. Each time the spreadsheet
program runs, the virus runs as well, and it has the opportunity
to reproduce by attaching to other programs. The purpose of a
virus can be anything from erasing files, formatting your hard
drive, to replacing text in your document Viruses are often
disguised as games or images with clever titles such as
"Pictures of ME". E-mail Viruses - An email virus moves around

How DO Spammers Get Your Email Address?
As much as I try to stem the seemingly endless flow of spam, the
crap just keeps arriving my Inbox.
For example, this week I received "New affiliate programs from
2004-02-10 to 2004-02-14 :: Subscription from
http://WeAreBlahBlahBlah.net".
I'd never heard of WeAreBlahBlahBlah.net, let alone subscribed
to the newsletter. But the address used explained exactly how
the spammer reached me.
I've set up numerous 'special' addresses for customers,
affiliates, subscribers, merchant partners and others.
For example, if I join XYZ's affiliate program, I might set up
XYZ@nptinfo.com and give that address to them to contact me. If
I suddenly start to rec (read full article) |

Have you started or are you thinking in starting an online
business?
I bet that you know that the bulk e-mail marketing technique
it's widely used on Internet, it's free, it's easy and it's
fast...
But on the long run it can cost you more than you will gain with
it!
Many people identify bulk e-mail with spam. Spam used to be
referred about posting or broadcasting ads to unrelated
discussion groups, but now this term has grown meaning "any
unsolicited e-mail" or "any email sent to people that didn't ask
for it". And the Internet Service Providers are taking steps
that can be very dangerous to your business if you decide to use
bulk e-mail as your promotional tool.

| Article Title :: Do not let spyware, virus, and hijackers get you |
| |
|
Is your computer being attacked by spyware, virus, popups,
hijackers and more? Did you know more then 90% of peoples
computers are infected with at least one of these? I never knew
my computer was infected till I got a spyware remover program
that listed I had over 100 infected files. I just though my
computer was running slower, because it was getting old. I had
no clue what damage all of these hiding programs on my computer
where doing and I defiantly did not have any idea what they
where looking at on my computer. I looked around at stores and
on the web to see what was the best thing I could do to protect
myself. I had enough of being attacked by all of these harmful
things, and though (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Anti Spam Protection |
| |
|
Why do you need anti spam protection? Because it is the quickest
way to get rid of junk email. Although every single one of us
complains about spam very few people do anything about it.
But once you install anti spam protection on your computer
you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner. It's not really
expensive and is easy to install.
More than 40% of all e-mail today is still unsolicited sent to
you by spammers. Even though the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 was
supposed to eliminate spam, email spammers still send millions
of unwanted email messages everyday.
Most people think spam is just annoying and delete it without
thinking twice about it. But what happens if one of your
children opens (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Four Ways To Eliminate Spam |
| |
|
The CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 was supposed to eliminate spam email.
This federal spam law that became effective January 1, 2004, was
passed by Congress to get rid of junk email.
So why didn't the law eliminate spam and why is it so difficult
to stop it? Still today, more than 40% of all e-mail is still
unsolicited sent to you by spammers even though that law passed.
The truth is email spammers make so much money they can afford
to outsmart The Federal Trade Commission with sophisticated
technology.
It is almost impossible to enforce this law although a few do
get caught and pay the huge price.
Spam is not likely to go away anytime soon, and it's difficult
to eliminate spam email altoget (read full article) |

| |
|
Spam sucks; there is no doubt about it.
There is nothing worse for me than checking my e-mail in the
morning before work while trying to enjoy my coffee and what do
I see in my Inbox? Nothing but penis enlargement and Viagra ads.
As a man I find this terribly offensive; as if my man-hood was
being directly attacked.
But not to worry. I found a solution that has been working great
for me. I switched to Gmail, the new e-mail service offered by
Google. Gmail has many wonderful attributes, including over
2500MB of storage, the ability to send up to 10MB of
attachments, the ability to choose whether you want images
displayed or not, and the automatic depiction of e-mailed
photos. Not to mentio (read full article) |
