by: Zachary Thompson
How to dunk a basketball. Well there are a few things one needs to keep in mind when you start dunking a basketball. One is to remember there is a lot more to the game then just the dunk. And not to spend to much time on learning how to dunk. Even though its very fun and can be addicting. But some good things about dunking is when its done during the game and you are the one doing the dunking there are fewer things that will feel as great as that. Horse Training For Napping Horses
by: Andy Curry
If you ever rode a horse that would stop and refuse to go forward then you would know how absolutely annoying it is.
Why do they stop? Because that's their reaction to a worrisome or unpleasant situation. Even nervous and timid horses can stake themselves to the ground because they are apprehensive about leaving the herd or the barn.
What other reasons are there for napping? One is the horse simply doesn't know what to do. They'd rather stop and stand than move forward. If your horse naps in a place he's familiar with (ie. your home area) then you should check your tack for things like a bad fitting saddle. The pain could fi (read full article) |

Horse Training Voice Commands
by: Andy Curry
To the uninitiated, voice commands for the horse are nothing more than words. But to the horse they are only sounds.
Obviously, horses cannot speak our language. Since they cannot speak our language we should think through what we say to them when we want certain responses from them.
Take the word "whoa" for instance. I have no doubt this is the most abused word in the human/horse language. When the rider says "whoa" then the horse should know to stop.
But the problem is this. Often the word "whoa" is said when the rider wants the horse to slow down...not stop. Before you know it, the rider has conditioned the horse to slow down a (read full article) |

Getting Into Wimbledon
by: Steve Smith
Wimbledon. It's a word that stands for tennis at its best.
Although it is first of all the name of a London suburb, for millions of tennis fans around the world it is shorthand for sportsmanship, athletic prowess, and celebrity stardom. For the half-a-million or so people who manage to see at least some of the annual championship games in person, it also means a huge social event.
One of the great things about the championship tennis tournament played every summer at Wimbledon is that it's one of the few major sporting events for which the average fan (i.e, neither rich nor well-connected) stands a decent chance of gaining entry.

Know the Odds when you Bet
by: Karla Dalton
In the casino, each game has different odds. This means that you are more likely to win some games than others. Knowing the odds, therefore, is very important if you want to maximize your chances of winning. We assume for the purposes of this article that each game is fair, and that you employ no 'card counting' strategies. This will allow us to work out the 'expectancy' of each game - i.e. the percentage chance of winning or losing.
Let's start with Baccarat, a game that superficially looks like Blackjack. Over a long run, for every $100 you bet, you can expect to recover only $98 in winnings. This means Baccarat has a negative expectancy o (read full article) |

Hilton Head Island is Golf Heaven - and the Ocean Too
by: Mark Ridgway
Imagine, 42 square miles of golf and surf
Hilton Head Island is appropriately called Golf Island. Located just off the coast of South Carolina, the semi- tropical 12-mile barrier island is devoted to providing world-class golf, tennis or water-recreation activities to the 2.5 million visitors who arrive annually. The majority are seniors, who faithfully return each year during the balmy winter months.
Hilton Head Island was the first eco-planned destination in the United States, in the mid-1950s. Those early efforts to protect the unique, scenic ecosystem have served as historic models for contemporary land-use (read full article) |

Forming A Paintball Team
by: Tim Bach
The majority of paintball games and tournaments are played in teams. If you take the time to build a top-notch team, your chances of winning games and tournaments are much greater.
Keep in mind that in many tournaments, the teams are formed right before the game starts. This does not allow you the opportunity to hand pick your team members. This makes it necessary to have the ability to work together with complete strangers, and to assess strengths and weaknesses in those strangers quickly.
When you are forming a regular team, you should first determine what type of paintball games you would be participating in. In theme-based games, you will n (read full article) |
