| Article Title :: Psychology and Pressure in Golf |
| |
|
Because a round of golf takes several hours to complete, there
is ample time for the players mental state to have a great
effect on his or her performance. Many higher handicap golfers
never produce a game when a card and pencil are involved, that
in any when resembles their play when matched against a friend.
The pressure of having to record a score that might prove
embarrassing causes a tension capable of shattering a poor
method but also reducing a good swinger to a nervous state that
his true game doesn't materialise.
Mental pressure plays a great part in the game of golf and
affects people in different ways. Some react well to it, putting
an edge on their game. On the other hand, and (read full article) |

|
Keep those knees still, rotate those shoulders ... When putting,
keep your knees still to keep your body still. When playing a
bunker shot, if you don't turn your shoulders and rotate through
the swing you'll fat or thin the shot.
Work out your average ... To learn more from your game, the next
time you play a round of golf, count how many putts you take,
how many fairways you hit in regulation, pace out your average
distance you hit you're drives. You'll be surprised to know that
your putting will account for more than 40% of all your shots
made.
Remember the hare and the tortoise ... When practising your golf
swing try to slow the whole movement down. If you can try to
swing at 50% of y (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Choosing The Perfect Fishing Destination |
| |
|
Whether you plan to saltwater or freshwater fish, you need to
think about what
your priorities and what you consider the 'perfect fishing
trip'. Salmon fishing in
Alaska or Bonefishing in the Florida Keys are obviously totally
different in
destination, type of tackle, weather gear...etc.
One of the first things you must do to plan a great fishing trip
is to identify your
priorities. You need to be more specific than just saying you
want great fishing.
Great fishing may mean different things to each person in your
fishing party.
One person might be happy with catching 20 fish per day, while
another might be
expecting 30 fish per hour. So, you need to decide this up
front.

| |
|
If you play golf on a regular basis you will eventually get
caught in the rain. You have to be prepared for these conditions
with the proper golf umbrella. It is a critical piece of golf
equipment because nobody likes to play golf when they're soaking
wet. I've put together the 5 most important criteria a golf
umbrella must have to be effective. Let's take a look...
1. Be at Least 60 Inches Wide Try to get the largest umbrella
you can find let alone handle. The bigger and wider the cover
the more area it shield from the weather. Especially for those
who walk the course and carry their own bags. You also want to
keep as much of your equipment dry as possible.
2. Wind Tested Make sure the u (read full article) |

| Article Title :: The Delight Of Using A Golf Cart Instead |
| |
|
You probably just take them for granted when you play golf, and
never think about their origin. I'm talking about golf carts,
those miniature vehicles dotting every golf course.
However, golf cart production is a multi-million dollar industry
and different models abound. They are treated as small cars, and
golf-cart companies provide leasing and financing options just
as the big car companies do.
Golf originates from a medieval game played on the coast of
Scotland during the 15th century. Golfers would hit a pebble
instead on a ball around the sand dunes using a stick or club.
As time passed, stones were exchanged for man-made balls, the
earliest of which were thin leather bags stuffe (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Are Your Sports Memorabilia Real Or Fake? |
| |
|
There is a huge interest in sports memorabilia, and
sports-related items include signed commemorative photos,
baseballs, footballs, basketballs, pucks and jerseys.
A Google search of companies hawking these items comes up with
almost 5 million businesses! Some of the items on offer cost
thousands of dollars. Where there are so many eager and gullible
customers, fraud is sure to appear.
A Sand Diego federal judge who recently sentenced several sports
autograph forgers to prison said, "Life, liberty and the pursuit
of the national pastime, has been undone". The prosecution
stemmed from an FBI investigation called Operation Bullpen,
which closed down a professional criminal organization th (read full article) |
