| Article Title :: Gettin' It Done Wright! - Jay Wirght has breathed new life into
Nova' basketball. |
| |
|
Who is Jay Wright? If you ask many in the greater Philadelphia
area, you would more than likely hear the same response: He
saved Villanova basketball! Rollie had a great run in the 80's,
but it was short lived. Since the glorious, magical season of
1985, Villanova basketball has been a series of ups and downs,
mostly downs. From phone card scandals to coaching changes,
Villanova has finally found what they needed, a coach with
vision who brings discipline to back his philosophy.
Monday night's monumental victory over #1 ranked UCONN gave the
Nova Nation something to talk about. Now Jay Wright is reaping
the benefits, recently inking a 7-year extension to continue on
as the Wildcats leader (read full article) |

| |
|
Just like in 2005 when it sold $825 million in tickets, experts
project that the Broadway theatre is going to set attendance and
ticket sales records in 2006. The thrill of attending any
Broadway show can not be overstated. You can experience the
crisp and emotional songs of musicals, the beauty of design
elements and the excitement of a character coming to life before
your eyes. New York City's Theatre District is known for its
world-class performances. Broadway is New York's top
entertainment draw. This year, the Great White Way continues to
showcase the popular favorites from 2005, while several new
plays are also slated to open.

| Article Title :: Bracket Buster Weekend |
| |
|
As we approach the home stretch in college basketball's regular
season, handicappers look more and more at how meaningful a game
might be to a particular team. There are conference races taking
place, tournament seedings and even RPI ratings at stake for
many teams. Of course, there are also meaningless games with
nothing at stake.
These points are particularly true with Saturday's Bracket
Buster games. Several teams are matched up against each other
with losing records with pretty much nothing at stake. The name
"Bracket Buster" gives the illusion that every game has an
interesting nonconference matchup that should provide some kind
of excitement. As George and Ira Gershwin once wrote, " (read full article) |

| |
|
While everybody is anticipating another Spurs/Pistons showdown
for the NBA title, a couple of other teams have surprised this
season. Let's take a closer look at the overachieving Mavericks
and Clippers.
The Mavericks have been very good for several seasons now, but
they are not perceived as being an elite team by the public,
simply because they have a history of flaming out in the
playoffs. It was a label that hung over the Sacramento Kings
from 1999-2003, when they seemed to have enough talent and depth
to get to the next level, but something always got in the way
come playoff time (injuries, the refs, big-game collapses). The
Mavericks appear to be the next talented young team trying t (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Morrison and Redick "Duke" it out for Naismith Trophy |
| |
|
With less than a month to go before March Madness, there are
still many questions to be answered regarding almost every
aspect of this year's college basketball season. One question
where the answer appears to be a little bit more clear pertains
to the two most prestigious "Player of the Year" awards, the
Naismith Trophy and the Wooden Award, where Gonzaga junior
forward Adam Morrison and Duke shooting guard JJ Redick have
clearly seperated themselves from the rest of the field.
The Naismith Trophy, won in it's innaugural season by Kareem
Abdul Jabbar in 1969, is presented by Cingular Wireless and is
chosen from a list of candidates nominated by the Atlanta Tipoff
Club. The ATC's Board of (read full article) |

| Article Title :: All Star Pick-Em |
| |
|
Stratosphere Race and Sports Director Robert Jaynes has a
suggestion for oddsmakers who are fashioning a line on Sunday's
NBA All-Star Game in Houston.
Since the contest shapes up as a close call, Jaynes thinks the
numbers crunchers should take the easy way out, make the line
pick'em and let the public decide who the favorite should be.
"That or make the East favored by 1," said Jaynes, who slightly
prefers it over the West simply because of the presence of four
members of the Detroit Pistons, none of them starters.
The Pistons' Flip Saunders will coach the squad.
"Nobody has any numbers out there yet, nobody," Jaynes said.
"This one's a toughie."

| Article Title :: UEFA Cup Round of 32 Preview |
| |
|
Hamburg 10/1 Despite a strong start to the season, Hamburg's
recent form has been poor. They've suffered two Bundesliga
losses in 2006 already. To make matters worse, several key
players are missing with long term injuries. Even though Hamburg
had a good run to date in the UEFA Cup, there are too many
uncertainties with this club to make them a backable choice.
They are false favourites at 10/1.
Roma 12/1 Roma got off to a slow start this year, in both
domestic and European competition. But they have been invincible
since the Christmas break. With nine straight Serie A victories,
Roma have jumped up the league table. Expect that form to
continue. Roma have little realistic chance of takin (read full article) |

| |
|
CAP D' AFRIQUE as Cape Town's coastline is affectionately known,
is still the popular location for a sound property investment.
Suzy Ormond, Standard Bank's financial advisor has commented on
this property boom, "Buy now! You might think prices are high,
but in 5-10 years time it's going to go through the roof." While
investors are busy gobbling up property along the Atlantic
Seaboard, others are heading for the phenomenon of the Golf
Estate.
The Garden Route is traditionally the No. 1 choice for property
purchase for retirement and holiday purposes. In the new South
Africa, it has increasingly become the destination of choice for
permanent residence by local and foreign buyers, due to it (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Is There Any Cure For Golf Putting Problems? |
| |
|
It is perhaps the supreme irony in golf that the simplest shot
in the book seems to cause the biggest problem to the largest
number of golfers.
Let's face it, the putt is the only golf shot that it is really
possible to execute flawlessly without any tuition at all. We
all start off doing this as kids. Some of us are even superb at
it at this young age. It is this shot that is often the spur
that leads to a lifelong addiction to this wonderful game of
golf.
What then, goes wrong? How can this easiest of golf shots become
the absolute bane of an adult golfer's life? Sorry to say, there
is no easy answer. Experts are just as baffled as inexperienced
amateurs over this one. The saying 'it' (read full article) |
