Article Title :: Intuition - Part I

I. The Three IntuitionsIA. Eidetic IntuitionsIntuition is supposed to be a form of direct access. Yet, direct access to what? Does it access directly "intuitions" (abstract objects, akin to numbers or properties - see "Bestowed Existence")? Are intuitions the objects of the mental act of Intuition? Perhaps intuition is the mind's way of interacting directly with Platonic ideals or Phenomenological "essences"? By "directly" I mean without the intellectual mediation of a manipulated symbol system, and without the benefits of inference, observation, experience, or reason.Kant thought that both (Euclidean) space and time are intuited. In other words, he thought that the s (read full article)

Article Title :: Intuition - Part II

The a-priori nature of intuitions of the first and the third kind led thinkers, such as Adolf Lasson, to associate it with Mysticism. He called it an "intellectual vision" which leads to the "essence of things". Earlier philosophers and theologians labeled the methodical application of intuitions - the "science of the ultimates". Of course, this misses the strong emotional content of mystical experiences.Confucius talked about fulfilling and seeking one's "human nature" (or "ren") as "the Way". This nature is not the result of learning or deliberation. It is innate. It is intuitive and, in turn, produces additional, clear intuitions ("yong") as to right and wrong, productive and dest (read full article)

Article Title :: Intuitive Numerology: Reading between Numbers - Part 2

A numerology report is based on one's date of birth. While numerology is the study of numbers, it can also be helpful in presenting valuable insight about specific personality traits and characteristics of individuals. By combining the sum of numbers in ones birth date with the sum from numerically-assigned letters of a person's name, a numerology report can be a prolific guide into one's past, present and future. An ancient art and science, numerology is said to have originated by the Greek mathematician, Pythagoras but could date back as far as the Hebrew Kabbalah. To better comprehend numerology, one must understand the basic foundations: There are 11 Core Numbers (read full article)

Article Title :: Intuitive Palmistry: Reading between the Lines - Part 1

Intuitive Palmistry: Reading between the Lines - Part 1 Sceptical? Palm reading has been an intriguing; albeit illusive, ancient art and science. Sometimes thought of as an esoteric occupation, palm reading is not at all what it seems to be. Allow me to elaborate: Aside from `soothsaying and fortune-telling,' Palm Reading prevails from dermatoglyphics. Dermatoglypics relates to friction ridge formations that appear on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet.1 The International Institute of Hand Analysis explains how the hands contain coded information relating to a person's character and life purpose.2 Other studies, as undertaken by the Department of Psychology (read full article)

When I say Intuitive thinking, I am not talking about using the occasional hunch or even having full blown psychic premonitions. Intuitive thought is a complete process that allows for psychic input as well as learned information, to form complete ideas that can be used in everyday life. It is a true altered state of consciousness.With this one technique you can learn about, understand and invent processes that otherwise would never occur to you. It allows a person to approach true understanding of a subject matter, if given enough time.It can also allow you to understand the current course of events in a specific subject area, and by application of thought, let you to alter (read full article)

Article Title :: Invaluable Embryonic Stem Cells Research

| Embryonic Stem Cell (ESCs) Research is back in the news again. Unfortunately, it is under the political and religious pressure. ESC is moving at a slower pace at the expense of, as stated by the White House, "millions of people who suffer from life destroying diseases." Unlike abortion, the purpose of ESC research is to cure potential diseases and disabilities such as Parkinson's disease, diabetes, Alzheimer's, stroke, and spinal cord injuries.
Despite its good intentions, ESC research was considered manipulation and destruction of a life form; as Pope John Paul II clearly stated, "embryonic research is morally unacceptable."
This ongoing debate is one of the most controversial (read full article) |
