Every five to seven minutes, back up your facts with signature stories (about you or others). Stories are out there everywhere. Find them in stores, at restaurants, on the airplane, at home. People retain information better when they hear a story.3. How quickly do you get to the core of your audience’s problems and challenges? Skip what i (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Being Different Leads to Success On the Net |
| |
|
Our site is different. We go about life doing things in ways
that you don't learn about at Harvard. The following examples of
recent happenings at Highland Hill Farm.
Our site security is important to us. Both internet and at our
main nursery. When my 84 year old father said he wanted to help
I had to let him help. So since people had been coming to the
nursery fields late at night and dumping trash, he said he would
sit in our lot and catch someone. After a few nights he called
me at 4 am. There was a truck. So I called 911 and went over in
my , well you know, and took my shot gun I was ready for bear.
Turns out it was the trash truck. Sometimes site security works
and sometimes it does n (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Proofreading: No Less than Perfect |
| |
|
Professional writing and self publishing demands professional
proofreading. Submitting an article for publication that is less
than perfect is unacceptable. Everyone commits errors now and
again. We're all no more or no less than human. Errors and typos
are unacceptable. Proofreading is your last chance to correct
them.
A would-be author recently noted that at least one mistake in an
article was necessary to keep it human. Not in my book. Any
mistake that distracts a reader, gives him pause or causes him
to lose his train of thought is counterproductive. Regaining
that train of thought is difficult. A prime responsibility of a
writer is to make reading easy for the reader. If a writer want (read full article) |

| Article Title :: The Simple Truth About Optimized Web Content |
| |
|
To rank well in any search engine, the words you write should
never be a second thought. They must be your absolute first
thought. Give careful attention to the words on your web pages
right from the very beginning of planning and designing your
website.
Content development experts know the one thing that causes
websites to win or lose in the search engines is Words. The
words you use and how you use them to create your content is
your best asset is to naturally market your website in the
search engines.
Why is that?
Website content that is "optimized" for the search engines
deliberately aims right at the very words and phrases people are
typing as search terms as they hunt for inf (read full article) |

The book business is a billion dollar industry; however grabbing
your slice of the pie will require skills far beyond simply
writing well and conveying your message clearly.
So, if you're thinking about becoming a published author read
this before you power up the PC and prepare to pen a masterpiece
because there are a few (17 that I've found) landmines to watch
out for on the road to self publishing success.

Is your book is positioned to fly or flop?

|
There's so much public domain content available all over the
internet, with Master Resale Rights available and sites
springing up left and right with Private Label articles you can
use to create your own products, but what do you need to bear in
mind, what is the best way to use all this content and what can
you create with it?
What to Look Out For:
Copyright - you absolutely must check on this - violating
someone's copyright is not clever and can be a really expensive
mistake not to mention seriously damaging your reputation. Is it
really public domain? All those lawyers fees can really mount up
when checking into all this but believe me, you really don't
want to end up in court over i (read full article) |

| Article Title :: Ten Rewards for Building Longterm Relationships with Editors and
the Seven Things You Need to Do to |
| |
|
The Rewards
1. Trust. Trust is earned over time. A lot of mistakes or
misunderstandings that might make an editor wonder about a
writer they don't know will all be water under the bridge in a
trusted relationship. 2. Strong Lines of Communication. Another
benefit of trust is openness. You're more likely to know just
what your editor needs and be better prepared to please her or
him with strong, open communication between you. 3. Ongoing Work
and a Regular Paycheck. An editor who has learned to count on
you will do so, time and again, assignment after assignment. 4.
Growing Relationships = More Work and Raises. The more an editor
trusts you, the more she or he will entrust to you. Maybe twi (read full article) |
