A lighting device for a sheet metal is provided, for emitting lights on a sheet metal. The lighting device includes: a bottom plate; a wireless remote module, including a signal receiver for receiving a wireless control signal; a plurality of lighting modules, for emitting a plurality of light colors; a cover body, covering the lighting modules and including a light translucent portion and a light opaque portion. The wireless remote module controls the lighting modules to emit light. The light from the lighting modules goes through the light translucent portion and projects a projection boundary defined by a common boundary constructed by the light translucent portion and the light opaque portion on the sheet metal. A lighting system for a sheet metal is also provided, including the lighting device described above and a support device. The lighting device is adjustably assembled with the support device.

A modular lighting assembly uses LED banks as the light sources. The assembly allows the power supply and LED banks to be independently replaced. The assembly uses a power supply that is separated from the LED banks and electrically connected to the LED banks with a plug connector that may be unplugged and plugged back in to allow the power supply or LED bank to be independently and readily replaced. The assembly provides for easy replacement of the different components of the assembly. One feature that makes the components easier to replace is that the light modules and/or the power supply may be carried by the housing that is removable from the base mount that is secured to a mounting structure such as a wall or ceiling.

A method for providing assistance in aiming of one or more illumination devices in an area may include, by a processor, receiving photometric data for an area, and using the photometric data to determine an aiming vector for the illumination device. the area may include the illumination device. the method may further include receiving, from an orientation sensor module of the illumination device, orientation data for the illumination device, and using the orientation data and the aiming vector to determine if there is an error in the aiming of the illumination device.

A dust prevention and heat dissipation module for a color wheel and a light source system employing the same. The color wheel is sealed in a color wheel housing which has an air inlet and an air outlet. The dust prevention and heat dissipation module has a leading-in air channel in communication with the air inlet of the housing, a leading-out air channel in communication with the air outlet of the housing, a filtering device at an inlet of the leading-in air channel and an outlet of the leading-out air channel, and a fan which circulate the air via the leading-in air channel and the leading-out air channel. The air flow caused by the fan realizes heat dissipation of the color wheel, and the filtering device filters the air flowing through the color wheel housing, thereby reducing the amount of dust adhered to the surface of the color wheel.

A light fixture includes a housing comprising a body portion with an opening at a first end, a power supply at an opposing second end, and a heat sink comprising a plurality of fins between the opening and the power supply. A mating surface is positioned proximate to the opening. The mating surface includes a set of landing pad areas and a set of open areas. The fixture also includes a set of light emitting diode (LED) modules, each of which is positioned in the opening and secured to a landing pad area of the mating surface. The LED modules are arranged so that the plurality of open areas remain open to the atmosphere and provide an air path to and from the heat sink.

A light fixture includes one or more of light emitting diode (LED) modules. Each of the LED modules may include a substrate holding a plurality of LEDs, and a printed circuit board connected to the plurality of LEDs. Each of the LED modules may also include a flexible lens cover including a plurality of lenses, each positioned to be located over one of the LEDs. When a person uses a computer, the graphic display of the computer screen causes a user's eye blink rate to be reduced by an average of sixty-six percent. This reduction in blinking can cause a variety of eye ailments, such as eye strain that results from lack of adequate blinking. This system is a light display system for compelling a computer user to blink their eyes. In one embodiment, the system includes a computer screen, a light source associated with a controller configured to execute a program to activate and deactivate the light source, wherein the light source turns the light on and off when the light source is activated, and deactivated. The systems and methods provide advantages in that a computer user will involuntarily blink as the light source is activated, which will increase the overall blink rate of the computer user's eyes, and reduce eyestrain therefrom.

A light guide element and a lamp are provided. The light guide element includes a light-incident surface, a light-emitting surface, an outer surface and an inner surface. The light-incident surface has a first outer peripheral edge and a first inner peripheral edge. A device includes an optical delivery fiber having a core having a first inside diameter joined to a capillary having an outer surface and a capillary tube having an inner surface. The capillary tube has a second inside diameter in the region of the joining to the optical delivery fiber. The second inside diameter is less than the first inside diameter of the delivery fiber.

A backlight module and a liquid crystal display device using the backlight module are provided. The backlight module comprises a backlight source, which includes a plate body provided with a light source lamp, and a reflector arranged on at least one longitudinal edge of the plate body. An inner wall of the reflector forms a reflective surface, which is arranged as extending obliquely away from the light source lamp. The backlight module enables light emitted from the light source lamp to enter the light guide plate to the largest extent, thereby removing the problems of light leakage and low light efficiency. Hence, in a liquid crystal display device using the backlight module, electric current can be reduced while brightness is maintained, thereby achieving the purpose of energy conservation.

An apparatus and method for assembling a display device to which is coupled a light guide that has smooth surfaces for light-transmission and at least one surface that is for light scattering and internal reflection. The method includes depositing a reflective coating on that surface, and installing the display device with coupled light guide in an interior of a meter housing or casing. A portion of the casing interior is filled with a component, such as epoxy, for sealing the case interior to protect the display device and light guide against water and dust penetration. All surfaces of the light guide are protected from direct contact with the epoxy. This approach greatly simplifies the assembly process and yields a robust display that also prevents light leakage from the light guide.

A display device includes a display panel curved with respect to a plane defined by a first direction and a second direction crossing the first direction and about a first reference axis substantially parallel to the first direction, a light guide plate disposed under the display panel and including a first surface facing the display panel and a second surface facing the display panel such that the first surface is disposed between the second surface and the display panel, a light source which provides a light to the light guide plate, and a bottom chassis which accommodates the light guide plate and the light source. The first surface is curved with respect to the plane about a second reference axis substantially parallel to the first direction, and the second surface is substantially parallel to the plane.

A white reflective film for an edge light backlight improves the luminance and unevenness therein, voids uneven close contact with, and scraping of, the light guide plate, and minimizes the crushing of convexes formed on at least one side, even in cases where the reflective film is laid directly over a corrugated chassis designed to house circuitry or the reflective film is used in combination with LEDs. The film satisfies (i) to (iii): (i) a stiffness of 2 to 10 mN·m; (ii) convexes have been formed on at least one face (A), and their maximum height is 5 to 60 μm; (iii) the convexes contain an aromatic polyester.

A planar illumination apparatus according to an embodiment includes a light source and a light guide plate. The light source includes a light emitting diode and a wavelength conversion material that is excited by light emitted from the light emitting diode so as to emit light, and emits white light. The light guide plate includes an incident end surface on which the light source is disposed, and an emission surface that emits light incident from the incident end surface. The light guide plate is provided with a light scattering unit on at least one of the emission surface and a rear surface opposed to the emission surface. The light scattering unit mainly scatters light emitted from the light emitting diode than light emitted from the wavelength conversion material.

An illumination device includes a light source configured to emit, during operation, light with a prevalent direction of propagation different from a direction of an optical axis of the illumination device; and an optical coupler including a transparent material, the optical coupler having an input aperture, an exit aperture and a first side surface and a second side surface arranged between the input aperture and the exit aperture, the exit aperture being centered on the optical axis of the illumination device. The optical coupler receives the emitted light through the input aperture from the light source. Further, the first side surface and the second side surface redirect the received light via total internal reflection (TIR) to the exit aperture. Additionally, the redirected light is issued through the exit aperture.

A display device is provided. The display device includes a housing, a backlight module, a shielding member, a cover, and a display panel. The housing includes a bottom sidewall, a top sidewall, and a platform disposed between the bottom sidewall and the top sidewall, and the housing further includes a bottom cavity surrounded by the bottom sidewall and a top cavity surrounded by the top sidewall. The backlight module is disposed in the bottom cavity. The shielding member is disposed on the platform and covering a portion of the backlight module. The cover is disposed on the housing. The display panel is attached to the cover and disposed in the top cavity.

A display apparatus includes a display panel displaying an image by using light, light source units arranged in a first direction to generate the light, a light guide plate which guides the light to the display panel, a first fixing member fixing a predetermined area of an upper portion of each of the plurality of light source units to a first area of one side surface of the light guide plate adjacent to a top surface of the light guide plate in a second direction crossing the first direction, and a second fixing member fixing a predetermined area of a lower portion of each of the plurality of light source units to a second area of the one side surface of the light guide plate adjacent to a bottom surface of the light guide plate in the second direction where each of the first and second fixing members includes a light reflection material.

A three dimension apparatus is provided and includes a backlight source, a display panel and a fly-eye lens array. The backlight source is used for providing an emitted light, the display panel is used for displaying an image based on data signals, scan signals, and the emitted light from the backlight source. The backlight source includes a plurality of sub-pixel units. The fly-eye lens array includes a plurality of lens units for performing a convergence operation on the emitted light for the backlight source to achieve a three dimensional displaying for naked eyes. The shape of each of the lens units is a square.

Discussed are a backlight unit and an autostereoscopic 3D (three-dimensional) display device including the same, in which a 3D image can be displayed without using a 3D light controller that includes a liquid crystal layer. The backlight unit may include a 3D light guide plate having first light output patterns, first light sources irradiating light to at least one side of the 3D light guide plate, a 2D (two-dimensional) light guide plate arranged below the 3D light guide plate, and second light sources irradiating light to at least one side of the 2D light guide plate. The first light output patterns are a plurality of line prism patterns spaced apart from each other.

Provided is a display apparatus. The display apparatus includes a display panel, a light source configured to generate light to be supplied to the display panel, and a reflecting member disposed behind the display panel and formed of a white foam resin to diffuse and reflect light generated from the light source.

A display apparatus includes a plurality of light sources that are arranged in several rows at different intervals so that light emitted from the plurality of light sources may reach all regions of a display panel uniformly. Accordingly, a uniform dispersion of the light incident on the display panel may be achieved. Furthermore, distribution of light generated from the plurality of light sources on the display panel may be facilitated through a reflecting unit without the use of a light-guide plate or the like.

A display device comprises a display unit and a display supporting unit. The display supporting unit includes a base including a body and at least three stands. The bottom of the body includes a center hole. The stands are connected to the body. A support arm, an end of the support arm is sleeved on the base. A light emitting unit is disposed at the support arm adjacent to the base. A light cover is disposed at the support arm between the light emitting unit and the center hole of the body.

An electronic display assembly having forced-air cooling. A thermally conductive plate or a thermally conductive backlight surface is located behind an electronic display of the electronic display assembly and within a housing thereof such that a gap is formed between the plate or backlight surface and an adjacent wall of the housing. External cooling air may be caused to flow in a top-to-bottom direction through the gap in order to remove heat from the electronic display that has been conductively transferred to the gap. A plurality of ribs may be placed within the gap and in thermal communication with the electronic display to enhance the conductive transfer of heat from the electronic display.

The non-volatile cache memory layer may include a non-volatile cache for caching pages for a database from the set of database on the database system. The non-volatile cache may be configured through invoking a configuring stored procedure persistent on the database system. A system and a method for providing a query building logic for supporting testing requirements are disclosed. The system receives one or more business inputs from one or more users. An application database is configured for rendering one or more unique database schemas and a set of predefined parameters. This disclosure describes systems and methods related to filtering data requests. In some embodiments, a system may determine an execution plan tree. The system may determine a backend-processed target table in the at least one first storage device. The system may traverse at least one first branch and at least one first node in the execution plan tree. The system may traverse at least one second branch and at least one second node from the parent join node. The system may determine that the rowsource is referenced at the rowsource-access node. The system may determine that the rowsource referenced at the rowsource-access node is a filtered-rowsource. The system may extract at least one join column from a join condition associated with the backend-processed target table and the filtered-rowsource. The system may determine at least one storage location of the filtered-rowsource. The system may determine an adaptive processing path based at least in part on the at least one storage location of the filtered-rowsource, the at least one join column determined from the join condition and the at least one direct predicate determined for the filtered-rowsource. The system may generate at least one target filter predicate for the backend-processed target table.

An apparatus for optimizing a skewed join is described herein. The apparatus includes logic, at least partially including hardware logic, to determine that a dataset for the skewed join comprises a skewed key that does not fit in memory. The apparatus also includes logic to model the skewed join as a queue. The apparatus also includes logic to estimate a cost of the skewed join based on the modeled queue. The apparatus evaluates different join techniques, and partitioning strategies for the skewed join, and chooses the plan with the lowest cost.

In an example, an aggregate function is associated with an aggregate projection for a data storage system. Input data to be loaded into the data storage system is aggregated according to the aggregate function and stored in the aggregate projection.

One embodiment relates to an apparatus, comprising logic, at least partially incorporated into hardware, to receive a plurality of notifications from each of a plurality of notification sources, determine a ranking score for each notification relative to any other notification received from the same notification source, and determine a notification class for each ranked notification relative to the ranked notifications from all notification sources based upon at least one blending attribute and at least one user contextual state.

The present disclosure provides various systems and methods for indexing digital (electronic) documents and providing various error reporting and identification functions. The systems and methods may utilize various software, hardware, and firmware modules to identify notations, such as primary sheet names and reference sheet names on construction documents. Various algorithms and methods may be employed to identify errors, erroneous notations, missing sheets, missing details, and/or the like to aid in the correction of construction documents. Identified notations are indexed and may be used to create hyperlinked and/or backlinked notations in output files.

One or more processors reduce bias in a score of a content. The one or more processors determine a predicted pattern of behavior of a user that provided a portion of data used to generate an initial rating of content. The one or more processors generate a modified rating of the content based on a degree of matching between the predicted pattern of behavior of the user and an action of the user that provided the portion of data.

A system provides search results in response to a search query. The system includes a query understanding module configured to receive the search query and output a processed search query based on the search query. The search query includes one or more words and the processed search query selectively includes tags assigned to the one or more words. The system includes a fuzzy knowledge module configured to receive the processed search query, generate a set of candidate tags for selected ones of the words in the search query, and selectively validate the candidate tags. The system is configured to provide the search results to a user device based in part on the candidate tags generated and validated by the fuzzy knowledge module.
