Madurai awaits the homecoming of this beauty

Chances are she may cruise the Madurai roads sometime next year. The century old Benz Model 8/20 PS Runabout Tourer car, restored to resplendent glory and launched in Chennai recently, belongs to the well known PCM family of Madurai. It was purchased in 1914 by Rao Bahadur P.C.Muthu Chettiar for personal use. Though most members of his family have migrated to other places, there is a strong possibility that the vintage beauty would be back to the place that was her home for decades and the locals will perhaps get the glorious opportunity to see the car, one of only four in existence worldwide. Can you visualise what a spectacle it would be to watch her glide gracefully in the city. SOMA BASU has some details
