Sensex, Nifty updates on November 8, 2024: Indian equity indices ended lower on TFriday, with the Sensex down by 55.47 points at 79,486.32 and the Nifty falling 51.10 points to 24,148.20. Market breadth was negative, with 1,314 shares advancing and 2,475 declining. Sector-wise, IT gained 0.7 per cent, while media, PSU Bank, and metals dropped. Midcap and smallcap indices shed 1 per cent and 1.6 per cent, respectively.
