Henick will be at the Center through the end of July, 2009, at which time he will assume the post of Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S.Embassy in Dili, Timor-Leste (East Timor). But they warned that the TPP will not realize this potential if trading nations abandon all efforts to conclude the World Trade Organization’s long-stalled Doha Round of negotiations. The award will fund the continuation of the Center’s Pakistan-U.S. Journalists’ Exchange program, which was held for the first time in April this year, as well as funding participation by Pakistani journalists in the Center’s existing multinational Jefferson Fellowships and Senior Journalists Seminar programs.
