“Inside Out 2” will be the featured film for the drive-in movie at Penn State York set for 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13. The film is free and open to the public. Guests can park in the lower parking lot area behind the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center on campus beginning at 6 p.m. 

Conducting research as an undergraduate can be daunting, but Sierra Wright and a group of Penn State students from across the state jumped in feet first this summer through the Multi-Campus Research Experience for Undergraduates.

Charlie Keller-Golden became an orphan in his senior year of high school and was taken in by a family who lives near Penn State’s York campus. Keller-Golden enrolled at that campus, where he was immediately connected with the University’s Fostering Lions Program. The program expands access to education and provides proactive and comprehensive support for foster youth at Penn State. 

A team of Penn State researchers has been selected to lead a three-year, $8,552,388 multi-institution project funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to identify cognitive threats in mixed-reality systems as part of the Intrinsic Cognitive Security program.

A $5 million endowment and estate gift has created Penn State Behrend's first named school directorship: The James R. Meehl Director of the School of Engineering. The fund also will support Behrend's School of Science.

The Penn State Behrend women’s tennis team won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship with a 4-0 defeat of Pitt-Greensburg on Oct. 20. The win earned the Lions their first conference title since 2000.

The Penn State Behrend women’s bowling team won two matches against D’Youville on Oct. 26. The Lions lost the Baker-format match, 1-4.

Penn State Behrend’s cross-country teams won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships at the Westmoreland Fairgrounds on Nov. 2. The men’s team claimed a fifth-consecutive title. The women’s team won a sixth-straight title.

As president of Penn State Behrend’s Student Government Association, Zane Lewis is a conduit between students and the college’s administration. “My role is to act as a voice and to advocate for their issues,” he says.

Penn State Behrend’s soccer teams won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championships on Nov. 9 and will advance to the NCAA Division III tournament. The men’s team defeated Alfred State, winning 5-4 in a penalty-kick shootout. The women’s team defeated Pitt-Greensburg, 4-0.
