The sensible heat of the synthesis gas and of the flue gas originating from the heating can be used more efficiently. A portable steam sauna includes a collapsible canopy which can be deployed in a use or storage configuration, allowing for easy deployment and transportation. The collapsible canopy has two flexible poles which provide a framework to the collapsible canopy.
