Bulldogs star Jayden Okunbor will reportedly be sacked by the NRL for breaching the league's code of conduct in an alleged schoolgirl sex scandal.

Latrell Mitchell has hit back at Cooper Cronk who accused the NRL star of slacking off training when he was actually protecting his pregnant girlfriend from the coronavirus by driving her out of Sydney.

The NRL suspended the rest of the season with immediate effect on Monday night, amid the coronavirus pandemic. 

Jayden Okunbor, 23, and Corey Harawira-Naera, 24, have been de-registered by the NRL and their team, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Okunbor and teammate Corey Harawira-Naera, 24, were stood down from the NRL after they brought teenagers back to their team hotel in Port Macquarie, New South Wales, in February.

The statement comes on the same day NRL league central is expected to announce plans to resume its competition halted by the coronavirus.
