देश में कंज्यूमर सेंटीमेंट (Consumer Sentiment) कमजोर रहने और BS4 से BS6 ट्रांसमिशन के चलते ऑटो कंपनियां पहले से दबाव में थीं. अब लॉकडाउन (Lockdown) ने कंपनियों की कमर तोड़ दी है. देश में चल रहे लॉकडाउन से ऑटो इंडस्ट्री पर बड़ी मार पड़ी है.

दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी कंपनीकि अमेजन ने ये जानकरी दी है देशव्यापी लॉकडाउन की वजह से उसे दुनियाभर में सबसे अधिक नुकसान भारत में हुआ है. लॉकडाउन में कंपनी को केवल जरूरी वस्तुओं की बिक्री की ही मंजूरी दी गई है, जिसके कारण इसे अरबों डॉलर का नुकसान उठाना पड़ा है.

देश की सबसे बड़ी कार कंपनी मारुति सुजुकी इंडिया लिमिटेड ने अपनी कार की बिक्री का तरीका ही बदल दिया है. कंपनी का कहना है कि ग्राहकों की सुरक्षा को देखते हुए उन्होंने एक कॉम्प्रिहेंसिव स्टैंडर्ड ऑपरेटिंग प्रोसीजर (एस ओ पी) तय किया है जो कि इसके देशभर में फैले डीलरों के यहां लागू होगा.

देशभर में एल्कोहल की मांग को देखते हुए अब फूड डिलीवरी से ग्रोसरी डिलीवरी करने वाला Zomato शराब की होम डिलीवरी की तैयारी में है. हालांकि, कंपनी ने इस बारे में अपनी तरफ से कोई जानकारी साझा नहीं की है.
