Extending across seven provinces and two autonomous regions, the Yellow River Ecological Corridor (YREC) comprises the second largest river basin in the People's Republic of China (PRC) with a population of 120 million. The region suffers from severe water scarcity, impacts from climate change and environmentally unsustainable development.
