The Bad Man of Bollywood, Gulshan Grover, who was also a good friend to Rishi Kapoor, shared how his journey in the world of showbiz along with the veteran has been a memorable one! Rishi Kapoor left behind a legacy after passing away.

In an interview with Times Of India, Gulshan Grover got emotional as he remembered his dear friend Rishi Kapoor, who died on April 30, 2020, after battling leukaemia. The actor spoke at large about his early days, how Rishi Kapoor helped him make his place in the industry, and also, how Chintuji will always be a special friend to him.

Gulshan Grover mentioned how Rishi played an important figure in his life. "I worked with him when I was new in the industry. I did a film titled, 'Hawalaat' which starred Rishi Kapoor along with Mithun Chakraborty and Shatrughan Sinha. I knew Mithun Chakraborty from my acting institute days where he was our teacher. He used to teach us acting and a subject called, 'Movement' where we had to express music without dancing through our expressions and without any words. I did not know Rishi Kapoor at all. I was quite intimidated."

Speaking about his generosity, Gulshan Grover shared how Rishi Kapoor didn't charge a single penny for a cameo in his first web feature Bad Man. "When I was doing India's first web feature film called Bad Man, the producers suggested me to ask Rishi Kapoor if he will play a special cameo in the movie where he will be himself. They did not have the budget to get him on board so they asked me to ask him. I called him up and went to meet him. I asked him about the film and he told me to ask the director Soumik Sen to meet him. Later, they both called me up to say that Rishi ji will be doing the part and that too without charging anything. And he shot for it the next day itself in a studio."

Gulshan Grover had also asked Rishi Kapoor to unveil one of the most important chapters of his life, his autobiography, titled The Bad Man. Despite not being in great condition, Rishi Kapoor agreed to help his friend.

Sharing this incident, Gulshan Grover said, "When I was about to release my autobiography in the US in front of the media, I was asked to get Rishi ji to come for it as people there loved him and it would have given me and my book more weightage."

The actor further added, "When I hesitantly asked Rishi ji, he replied by saying 'although I have been advised not to go to public places, for you, my friend, I will do it'. However, on the day of the event, he messaged me saying he had been called to the hospital for a blood transfusion. And he added that he didn't know when they will leave him and what condition he will be in after the process. My heart sank as I had promised everybody and it was all over the media. He told me not to worry and that he shall be there."

Rishi Kapoor is indeed being missed by family, friends and his fans across the world!

Arbaaz Khan tied the knot with Malaika Arora in 1998 and have a son, Arhaan Khan together. The duo shocked everyone when they announced the news of their separation in 2016. It was in 2017 that they were granted the divorce and two years from then, both, Malaika and Arbaaz seem to have moved on with their lives. In a recent interview, Giorgia Andriani opened up about the speculations surrounding her wedding with Arbaaz. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, she said, "People may assume whatever they want. But I am quite serene as a person, so if and when that (marriage with Arbaaz) will happen, I would definitely let everybody know. I don't have any problem with that. In the meantime, they can think whatever they want. I don’t own anybody's mind."

About Arbaaz, Giorgia says, "He's got a wit. He is always fun. Even if you have some things going in your mind, he is a really nice person to talk to, have fun and make jokes."

The Italian-model is currently spending her quarantine time with her beau. When asked if she got to know Arbaaz better during the lockdown, Giorgia said, "We have already spent a lot of time together in the past so I had already known him very well."

Arbaaz and Giorgia are quite active on social media and often share updates from their daily lives for their fans. Recently, Giorgia, who seemed quite bored, shared a fun video in which she can be seen giving Arbaaz a clean shave! Bobby Deol is not only a brooder but also one of the youngest-looking fathers in Bollywood. He looks way younger than his actual age and doesn't really look like a father of two boys- Aryaman and Dharam. He spilled the beans on them in a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror and got candid.

Talking about Dharam first, he said, "Dharam is completely into fitness. He learns new techniques online and teaches me. I wish I had the access he does at his age. He has a six-pack already and keeps challenging Tanya and me to try new things. I have to tell him I'm not that flexible anymore." In the light of the COVID 19 Pandemic, the 2020 Hot Docs Festival in Toronto, which is the world's largest documentary film festival was in jeopardy but the Film Festival, has decided to uphold & celebrate the spirit of movie making & film-makers, by showcasing a multi-platform 'festival-at-home' experience to its audience that kick-starts on May 28.

The only Indian film premiering at this prestigious international festival is Sona Mohapatra's documentary, Shut Up Sona. Directed by Deepti Gupta, the feature length film resonates with every woman's search for equal space in a culture ridden with millennia of misogyny. This is a film about music, art, social change, and a clashing of the ancient and the modern & this political story is told via the journey of Sona Mohapatra & her relentless fight for a voice. The Vizag gas leak has left Bollywood in shock, and many celebrities grief over the unfortunate situation. Bhumi Pednekar is one of the most exciting young actors of our generation. From Mahesh Babu to Allu Arjun, from Ram Charan to Vijay Deverakonda and Nani, several sourthern superstars offered condolences to the families affected by the unfortunate gas leak at LG Polymers in RR Venkatapuram village of Visakhapatnam on Thursday morning.

At least 10 casualties have been reported at the time of publishing, while hundreds were rushed for treatment to hospitals after complaining of breathing difficulties and burning sensation in the eyes. Reacting to the shocking news, Mahesh Babu tweeted: "Heartwrenching to hear the news of #VizagGasLeak, more so during these challenging times... Heartfelt condolences and strength to the bereaved families in this hour of need. Wishing a speedy recovery to those affected. My prayers for you... Stay safe VIZAG."

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli, who is known for helming the "Bahubali" franchise, is extremely disturbed by the visuals from the Vizag Gas Leak.

Even as he stays put at his Panvel farmhouse, Salman Khan is doing his bit to help the daily-wage workers and vertically challenged artistes in the industry. Now, the actor has kickstarted a food donation drive in Mumbai where two food trucks labelled Being Haangryy make the rounds of the western suburbs and distribute essentials among the underprivileged.

A source reveals, "The food trucks were an initiative of Salman's not-for-profit organisation Being Human and initially kept on the set of Radhe to provide free meals to the crew. Since the suspension of shoots in mid-March, the trucks have been lying unused. When it struck Salman that they can be used for a greater cause, he promptly contacted Yuva Sena leader Rahul N Kanal to implement the idea."

Over the past two weeks, they have extended help across slums in Andheri, Bandra and Santacruz. The source adds, "They try to reach 1,000 families every day. Every kit contains three kilos each of rice and wheat flour, two kilos of dal, one litre oil, spices and salt. All safety norms are followed while distributing the rations."

A volunteer distributes food kits to the underprivileged

Kanal, who is coordinating the endeavour, says, "Salman bhai is sponsoring the drive. We are doing our bit by deputing volunteers so that we can reach out to as many families as possible."

The genius of Rishi Kapoor came alive every time the camera rolled. It is only apt then that his countless fans witness him, one last time, as the larger-than-life hero whose rightful place was on the big screen. Honey Trehan, co-producer of the late actor's swansong Sharmaji Namkeen, believes he owes the audience the final chance to say goodbye to him.

"We want to take this film to the theatres for his friends, family and fans. We all owe this to Rishiji, one of the silver screen legends. I am grateful to Ritesh [Sidhwani, producer] and Farhan [Akhtar, producer] for investing in the movie not just monetarily, but also emotionally," he says.

The slice-of-life film, which also features Juhi Chawla and revolves around a sexagenarian who discovers the joy of life after retirement, had gone on floors last December. While the unit was to shoot the final Mumbai stint in March, their plans went awry due to the lockdown. "We shot a major portion of the film in Delhi during January. Only a four-day schedule was pending."

As the central character, the veteran was to shoot some crucial scenes in the final leg. However, with Kapoor's sudden demise on April 30 following a two-year battle with leukemia, director Hitesh Bhatia and the unit have the task of completing the project minus the leading man. "We will be using advanced technology, an amalgamation of VFX and some special technique, to finish the film without compromising on the quality. We are in discussion with a few [VFX studios] and are figuring out the way forward," says Trehan.

April 30 will be marked as one of the darkest days in Hindi Cinema when we lost one of the greatest actors and celebrated performers, Rishi Kapoor. Saif Ali Khan may be a big name in the film industry today, but as a newcomer, he too had to experience rejection and struggle to get where he is today. Today, he is one of the most bankable stars in Bollywood, but when he first started out, he was kicked out of what could have been his first film! Don't believe us? Here's what Khan has to say!

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Saif recalled how he was thrown out of a film, Bekhudi, and how it was quite difficult to find his footing in the industry as a newbie who was just out of boarding school. He shared, "I have a vague memory of my first day on a film set. I was shooting a song for Bekhudi, with Rahul Rawail (director) and Kajol (co-star). I had to tear through fake cobwebs and emerge, singing a line that went, 'Chaahat Ki Raahon Mein, Kyun Itna Darti Hai'. I might just about pull it off today, but, back then, straight out of a boarding school in England, I was petrified."

Saying that he must have performed badly, Saif added, "Soon after, Rahul Rawail threw me out of the film, complaining I wasn't showing enough interest. That shot, I have to admit, was particularly appalling."

While Saif lost Bekhudi to Kamal Sadanah, he landed another project, a film titled Parampara. Speaking about technicalities in a film and how he is much better at the smaller details now than he was back then, Saif said, "I was pretty bad in Parampara, too, and my voice didn't help. Fortunately, there were several big names in the film, so either I must have stood out like a sore thumb or simply gone unnoticed. I still don't know which."

Well, it's hard to believe that Saif, the star that he is today, was quite the anxious newcomer back then! On the work front, the Laal Kaptaan actor was last seen in the comedy Jawaani Jaaneman, co-starring Alaya F and Tabu. The film did good business at the box office.

The superstar revealed how son Abhishek Bachchan fell into a bed of flowers during the trip and got lost in the valley of flowers. One of the most versatile actors of Bollywood, Rishi Kapoor passed away at the age of 67 in Mumbai on April 30. The news came as a big shock to Bollywood as it lost another brilliant actor a day after Irrfan Khan, who passed away on April 29. Condolence messages flowed in from all quarters, with film personalities, politicians and millions of fans expressing their grief at the untimely death of the two stars.

Recently, Raveena Tandon shared a heartwarming video message from Rishi Kapoor wishing her father Ravi Tandon on his birthday. The video was recorded just before Rishi left for New York for his cancer treatment. Sharing the video, she wrote, "Dearest dearest Chintu uncle... you are missed every day. Just before his going to New York for treatment, he recorded this for papa and then surprised him by being there with us on papas birthday. you will always be there at home and in our hearts forever Chintuuncle. we love you (sic)".

In an interaction with IANS, Raveena shared fond memories of Rishi and her father. "I have not worked with him in many movies but my dad has worked with him a lot. I have seen him since I was a child. I literally grew up in front of his eyes. My heart is heavy right now," said Raveena, remembering Rishi Kapoor.

She added: "Rishi sir's death is a huge blow for my father. My father has lost one more friend from his inner circle. I clearly remember how my dad, Pancham uncle (RD Burman), Ramesh Behl uncle and Rishiji used to hang out together. After his demise, my dad has been feeling very down."

Ravi Tandon worked with Rishi Kapoor in films like Khel Khel Mein and Jhoota Kahin Ka. Raveena was paired opposite Rishi Kapoor in the 1995 movie Saajan Ki Baahon Mein. Rishi Kapoor died in a Mumbai hospital on April 30. He was 67 and had been battling leukaemia.

Rishi Kapoor's daughter Riddhima Kapoor has been missing her papa a lot. Riddhima can't stop but share all her love and affection on social media. Riddhima, who lives in Delhi, has been sending loads of love and strength to her mother Neetu Kapoor. Riddhima couldn't attend father's final rites due to coronavirus lockdown. For the uninitiated, Rishi Kapoor made his debut in 1970 with his father Raj Kapoor's Mera Naam Joker and rose to fame with Bobby in 1973, also directed by Raj Kapoor. For 25 years, he was the epitome of romance and charm. And as years passed by, he began displaying his unseen side that had a versatile performer. With films like Agneepath, Kapoor & Sons, Aurangzeb, Do Dooni Chaar, and Luck By Chance, he began what was one of the finest phases of his career.

Speaking of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, the duo has worked together in movies like Kabhi Kabhie, Khel Khel Mein, Amar Akbar Anthony and Zehreela Insaan, among others. Their sizzling on-screen chemistry transformed into off-screen romance, and the couple tied the knot on January 22, 1980.

Rishi Kapoor died in a Mumbai hospital on April 30. He was 67 and had been battling leukemia. In September 2019, the actor had returned to Mumbai after staying in New York for almost a year for cancer treatment.

Arjun Kapoor has always appreciated eclectic content. The actor, who runs his own digital property Arjun Recommends through which suggests great content for people to binge on, is currently gorging on yesteryears acclaimed TV show Byomkesh Bakshi played by actor Rajit Kapur.

For Arjun, this show is like a whiff of nostalgia from his childhood. He says, "Whenever I could catch Byomkesh Bakshi as a kid, I remember I enjoyed it thoroughly. For me, Byomkesh was what a hero should be. Slick, super-intelligent, and charismatic, he is one of the best sleuths that I have seen on screen! I have been watching Byomkesh on TV again and it is pure nostalgia for me!"

Arjun lists his reasons why he loves this indigenous super-detective. "The best thing about Byomkesh was that he solved intelligent crimes and that really hooked me on. The writing, the cleverness of the cases really got me interested. The show still hooks you thoroughly and that’s what great writing, great acting can do. Sonakshi Sinha faced flak for failing to answer a question related to Ramayana on Kaun Banega Crorepati last year. Months later, she still gets trolled for it. In a recent live interaction with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on a social app, she shared the details of the incident.

"A question was asked on Sanjeevani booti, and for a moment, I went blank. It was a bit embarrassing since we have grown up reading Ramayan," the actor said. The spiritual leader advised her to not take the trolls seriously. But the actor finds it disheartening that people still troll her over 'one honest mistake'.

Ever since the reruns of popular '90s show Ramayan has started to broadcast on Doordarshan, Mukesh Khanna, who played Bhishmapitamah in Mahabharat, also stated: "it will help people like Sonakshi Sinha."

For the unversed, Sonakshi Sinha was trolled for not knowing a mythological answer. She appeared on Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2018, which is hosted by none other than Amitabh Bachchan. On asking, "According to Ramayan, Hanuman fetched the sanjeevani booti [herb] for whom?" She sought a lifeline to answer the question as she was confused with the options: Sugriva, Lakshmana, Sita and Rama. Sinha was trolled and schooled by netizens.

It's not just Sonakshi Sinha who has been trolled mercilessly for not knowing something. Earlier, many celebrities have called prey to these trolls, including Alia Bhatt.

On the professional front, Sonakshi Sinha was last seen in Dabangg 3, opposite Salman Khan. Saiee Manjrekar was also a part of this comedy film. Now, the actress will be next seen in Bhuj: The Pride of India.

Bhuj: The Pride of India stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk and Pranitha Subhash. The film is directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya. In the film, Ajay will be seen playing Indian Air Force pilot Vijay Karnik, while Sonakshi will essay the character of Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, who is a social worker and a farmer women, who convinced 299 other women from Madhapur to help build a runway during the India-Pakistan war of 1971.

Geeta Basra has been maintaining a lockdown diary. She has been jotting down her thoughts and reactions daily to happenings. Moved by the struggles of those hit hard in the present scenario, she says one should be grateful for what we have in these unprecedented times. The actor is keen that her three-year-old daughter Hinaya read these notes some years later to understand that nothing in life can be taken for granted.

On the professional front, Geeta Basra was seen in The Train and Dil Diya Hai. In an interview, Geeta shared, "My relationship started with Harbhajan the moment The Train had released, I had met him. And, I think, I had entered the industry at a very different time for a girl. For me, at that time, my priority lied in my relationship."

She added, "I did Zila Ghaziabad after Lock (Punjabi film) and Second Hand Husband, but then we got married and I decided that my focus was our relationship, our family, and that became the priority. So, I let go of a couple of good projects and I had to shift base also because after I got married, we shifted to Punjab for a while. We just returned like a year back to Mumbai."

Geeta and Harbhajan tied the knot on October 29, 2015, and were blessed with a beautiful baby girl Hinaya Heer Plaha on July 27, 2016.

What started as a passion project for Aamir Khan in 2017, has grown into an initiative that is changing the landscape for budding writers in the Indian film industry. The second edition of Cinestaan India's Storytellers Script Contest, a nationwide hunt for scripts where the five winners take home a total cash prize of Rs 50 lakh, was launched this February. Over the past three months, the four-member jury — consisting of Khan, Anjum Rajabali, Juhi Chaturvedi and Rajkumar Hirani — sifted through numerous entries to choose five compelling stories that can be taken to the screen. While the on-ground event to announce the winners has been cancelled due to the current scenario, the superstar will unveil the new talent on social media today.

Excited to be part of an endeavour that celebrates screenwriting — an aspect he considers the backbone of every successful film — Khan urges budding writers to not let the prevailing situation dampen their creativity. "Budding scriptwriters should continue writing with more enthusiasm, especially during these times. Every filmmaker needs a good script," says the actor.

California-based NRI Sejal Pachisia has bagged the top prize of a whopping Rs 25 lakh for her story, On the Boundary. The second and third prizes have been won by Digant Patil and Soumil Shukla for Guilt and Laakh Maavla respectively. The prize is financed by Cinestaan Digital, an internet media firm focussed on building cinema-related products for Indian audiences. The chosen scripts will become part of its story incubator programme.

Rajabali, jury chairperson, says the contest was designed to provide a platform to new talent, thus helping deserving outsiders to gain a toehold in the industry.

"It's important that we raise the standard of our scriptwriting so that the quality of our cinema improves," he states.

Abhishek Bachchan has recalled his childhood experience of being on stage with father Amitabh Bachchan, in a throwback video he shared on Instagram on Friday, with a long caption post. In the video, Big B can be seen introducing his kids Shweta and Abhishek to the audience, both of whom say "hello" into the mic.

#flashbackfriday In 1981, my father started the trend of film actors from India doing shows on stage and performing to their songs. Before that, only playback singers did so. I have so many memories of being on the road with him, his co-stars and the immense Kalyanji and Anandji and their 40 piece orchestra helmed by a young and upcoming Viju Shah ( Kalyan ji's son and future Music Director of huge fame). The rehearsals, sound checks, post show dinners in my parents suite in the middle of the night where tiffin's of Gujju food ( lovingly prepared by relatives and friends of the organisers or crew members locally in whichever city they were performing in) would be served to the entire cast and musicians and everyone would discuss the show and how it went whilst a very young, relatively unknown (then) and upcoming stand-up comic would enthrall everyone for hours on end with his mimicry and comedy till it was morning and time to leave for the airport to take the flight to the next city. His name was Johnny Lever! On the flight everybody would take over the economy class, fold forward all the seats to make a huge गद्दा like setting and the musicians, singers and dad would sing and jam and maybe create a new song to be performed later that night at the next venue. This routine went on 3 days straight. I doubt they must have slept for a collective 2 hours over those weekends. Functioning purely on adrenaline! Rest during the week and the routine would resume from Friday, again. What times! As a child standing in the wings looking at the show in awe and wonderment. Not realising at that time the legends that I was blessed to witness perform live. Secretly imagining myself on that stage once I grew up. As you can see from this video, my sister couldn't wait to get off the stage and all I wanted to do was stick around. Thank you @mosessapir for sourcing out this video. Mika Singh and Chahatt Khanna shocked and surprised a lot of people when they took to their respective social media accounts to announce to the world they are quarantined together. You all must have seen that post where the actress even used the hashtag #Quarantine Love to express her feelings for the singer. But is this the entire story? In a video chat with Bollywood Spy, she spilled the beans on what the truth actually is. This is actually for their single that's going to come out soon that's been titled, Quarantine Love. Today only, I was having a laugh with my friends about this."

They are quarantining together only to shoot for the song. " We shot it at home only, we are next-door neighbours. I just hopped into his house. The two of us shot it on the phone," she said. That's what the whole promotion plan was, to do something that creates a question in everyone's minds."

Divyanka Tripathi has amassed a huge fan following for herself over the last few years and fans look forward to her work. She made her debut on the OTT platform with Rajeev Khandelwal in Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala. Her claim to fame was the massively successful show, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein with Karan Patel that recently went off air after running on television for over six years.

She said to Pinkvilla, "As of now, I haven't signed for anything else. There was one project with Karan which I think is not happening anymore. I am sorry guys. I know a lot of people were waiting for his project of ours. I am not sure, there might a technical reason but I think it is my responsibility to inform people that it may not happen."

And given the response that Cold Lassi received, will there be a season 2 and will the story continue? She spoke, "Coming to Cold Lassi, its next season is supposed to come this year but I think it will be pushed further. But, I am waiting for a really good project. The return of Mahabharat and Ramayan on television has really pleased all the people across the nation. As reported, the views have been record-breaking and unheard of in a long time. And speaking about its return on television is veteran actor Gajendra Chauhan, who essayed the role of Yudhishthir in the show.

Talking to Koimoi, he said, "When the show came on TV for the first time, people used to just watch it. It used to come weekly. Now, 2 episodes are aired daily. Currently, people are watching it to learn something out of it. The show teaches a lot in terms of boundaries and India's culture and tradition, the duties of the king and the citizens." His choices of words suggested he was really elated by the fact that he and the entire nation were getting the opportunity to visit and revisit such a classic piece of work.

That's not all, he also spoke about how Mahabharat taught us to stay at home safe and sound. "In the show, Vidur says a few lines to Yudhisthir that are relatable today. The lines are – Vann ki akhir kaun prachit rehta hai? Wahi prachit rehta hai jo ghar mein hota hai'. Even Mahabharat has given a message to people to stay at home."

And lastly, he also shed light on his experience of visiting a school where the children were being shown an episode of the show. "A few years ago, I went to a school in Delhi and they had a lecture on Mahabharat where they would show 45 mins episode from the show. Every year, they used to have one test based on it. These are good steps taken to make sure our future generation is well aware of India's culture. There are a lot of Indians staying abroad who make sure their kids know about Ramayan and Mahabharat through whatever medium is available to them."

Karan Tacker was famously linked with Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai co-star and on-screen wife Krystle D'Souza, but neither actor made their relationship official. However, the audience always knew that they were together and also rooted for the couple.

In a recent interview with ETimes, Karan Tacker opened about why the couple parted ways. And it wasn't because of personal difference, as Tacker claims. He told the website, "Krystle and I never said that we separated because of personal differences. However, I wouldn't get into further details on this." Tacker also shared that he's not in touch with Krystle any more.

When asked if Karan, given the chance, would work with Krystle again, he said, "I don't really look at who's working with me for the project. As I said, I look into a script. If the script appeals to me, everybody else comes with the project. I don't really have a problem."

Recently, during an Instagram live chat, Karan Tacker was asked if he has kept in touch with his exes during the lockdown. Karan replied that since all his exes are his good friends, he's been checking up with all of them. Reacting to this, Karan Johar started pulling Karan Tacker's leg, asking him if he was sure that he messaged every single person? To this Tacker laughed and said, "Not every single person… but you know what I mean."

Circus was one of the most popular and beloved TV shows back then, and it still continues to enjoy a huge place in people's hearts. Starring brilliant actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Renuka Shahane, Ashutosh Gowariker, Makrand Deshpande and many others.

Recently, in an interview with Mirror Online, Renuka Shahane opened up about working with Shah Rukh Khan and how she thinks he's a workaholic. She shared, "Shah Rukh had a huge craze even at that time because his previous show Fauji had done so well. He was like a heartthrob even then. At that time when he was not even a film star, I've seen him getting mobbed by fans and a crowd of around 20,000 people gathering there just to see Shah Rukh Khan."

Shahane, who was 24 when she portrayed Maria in Circus, shared how SRK was and continues to be a workaholic. "He was a workaholic. He would have worked for 36 hours at a stretch if he was asked to. That kind of energy was very infectious. Plus, all of us were already excited to work with him. I definitely was, because I had loved Fauji!"

Sharing an incident from the sets of Circus, Renuka Shahane recalled, "There was one song which we had to shoot with a wild bear. The trainer had warned us beforehand that we should not come in its way, but even though we tried to avoid it, the bear ended up chasing us! So if you watch the episode carefully, you'll see that we were terrified and were running for our lives, but still had to look calm because the camera was rolling."

Admitting that she has not watched the re-telecast of her show during the coronavirus lockdown, Renuka Shahane said, "I am not watching it again but I am glad that people are -- especially today's generation. I am very pleased to get a new audience for my old show."

Sexual harassment at workplaces and in Bollywood has unfortunately been rampant for years. There are multiple names that have come out and shared their horrific and shocking stories. And the recent one is Divyanka Tripathi, who recalled an incident when a guy at a cinema hall touched her in an insolent manner.

Talking to SpotBoyE, she recollected what exactly unfolded on that fateful day and how she reacted. She said, "It happened in one of the theatres, these were the days when tickets were sold in Black at single screens. So, there should be a lot of rush. I had gone to watch a film and was in the cue to buy tickets. There was this guy who was taking advantage of the crowd and touching me inappropriately."

She added, "I lost my cool, held his hand, and of course, after that I slapped him hard and in no time public was all over him." There's a lot of stigmas attached to speaking openly about one's bitter experiences and especially when you're an actor. The fear of being judged looms large and that unfortunately and incorrectly keeps them away from speaking up. But now, given the power of social media, actors and actresses have become fearless and ferocious. They now know how to give it back!

"Hum Paanch" is back on the small screen, and actress Shoma Anand is enjoying seeing the younger version of herself in the sitcom.

"It felt really good to know that after nearly 15 years, the 'Hum Paanch' family is back to make people laugh, that too during such a testing phase of life. A lot of people who are at home were starting to feel depressed, but now they can forget everything and can have at least 30 minutes of fun and laughter with the 'Hum Paanch' family," she said.

Now, she sits with her family and watches the show on Zee TV.

"Just a few days back, while watching the show, me and my family were observing how much I have changed since the show went on floors. I really enjoy seeing the younger version of myself and all my other co-actors because when we used to shoot, we couldn't see the episodes. So while watching the show, we are reminded of all the good old memories," said Shoma, who played Veena in the show.

A story of an ordinary yet amusing middle-class family, "Hum Paanch" revolved around Anand Mathur, his second wife - Bina Mathur and his five daughters, who are constantly plotting plans to turn his world upside down. Adding more chaos and confusion to his life is the photo frame of his late wife, who occasionally talks to him and nags him on certain decisions.

Will she do comedy shows again? "Yes, of course! If I find something that I think will be liked by the audience, then I will definitely do it. In fact, we as artistes always keep learning and for us to come back, the writer needs to write a script that is strong and we fit into the script too," she said.

Fans of Beyhadh 2, who are eagerly awaiting the next plot twist in Jennifer Winget and Shivin Narang's on-screen love story, may be in for a disappointment. Word on the street is that the top brass at Sony Entertainment and the producers of the revenge saga are contemplating pulling the plug on the show, given the current scenario. A source informs, "It's a big budget show, and with the set at Green Valley studio in Mira Road standing unused, the makers are incurring heavy losses with every passing day. So, the channel and production house may not resume the shoot of the daily soap post the lockdown. Even though the script for the next 50 episodes is ready, the show is likely to have an abrupt ending."

While the channel officials remained mum on the subject, an insider informed that the decision is not prompted by the monetary losses. "There is no clarity on when the shoots will resume. If the studio decides to pick up the story from where they left off, the channel will have to rejig its entire line-up of shows to accommodate the series."

When mid-day reached out to Ashish Chowdhry who is one of the leads, he said, "While I haven't received official communication about this yet, I won't be surprised if they have taken this decision. Jennifer, Shivin and my remunerations are high. Plus, [the makers must be struggling] to maintain the lavish sets."'

On Monday evening, the hashtag #FraudArhaanKhan started trending on Twitter following claims by netizens that actor and "Bigg Boss 13" contestant Arhaan Khan has taken Rs 15 lakh from his former girlfriend Rashami Desai's account, and is allegedly threatening her. Arhaan withdrew the money when Rashami was still inside the "Bigg Boss" house, it has been claimed.

The accusations have mostly been levelled on Twitter by netizens who claim to Rashami's fans. They also shared screenshots of bank statements of monetary transactions from an account with the name Shivani Ajay Kumar Desai.

A user tweeted in Hindi claiming Arhaan Khan has taken Rs 15 Lakh from the actress' account in 15 days.

Another user alleged that Arhaan has even taken money for subscribing to a popular OTT platform.

A Fanclub of Rashami Desai tweeted: "We need justice for @TheRashamiDesai. She has earned money with lot of her hardwork and #FraudArhaanKhan misused her money. What a shame to society."

Calling Arhaan a "gold digger," Rashamians, as Rashami's fans like to call themselves claimed in a tweet: "This is a call to all fandoms - any and everyone who is sane enough to see the wrong in this situation- keep aside your Bigg boss grudges for once and please help us expose and shame a gold digger. #FraudArhaanKhan."

However, there has been no substantial basis to any such claim on the part of fans.

During her stay in the "Bigg Boss" house in the latest season, Rashami Desai was heartbroken after learning about Arhaan Khan's child and former wife. The two eventually parted ways. It seems a bigger shock is waiting for the "Naagin 4" actress if allegations made by her fans come true!

While this season of the reality show is already over long back, Rashami Desai continues to remain a favourite with her fans.

In the recent episode of Mahabharat, which is clearly enjoying a fantastic or should we say a historic re-run on television, the viewers got to witness what became the reason for the Mahabharat- The Cheer Haran of Draupadi! For all those who saw this iconic moment on television or rather experienced and felt it, the memories can never get wiped out, and for those who witnessed it for the first time, were left in awe and had goosebumps!

Taking to their Twitter accounts, the netizens couldn't stop hailing the way the scene was staged, the actors performed, and the manner in which the entire drama unfolded. A user wrote about Roopa Ganguly, who played Draupadi, that nobody can become a better Draupadi than her.

On Monday, JD Majethia, chairman of the TV wing of the Indian Film and TV Producers' Council (IFTPC), stated that he intends to approach the government to seek permission to resume shoots of television shows with small crews from May 4. The move has sent the daily-wage workers of the television industry into a tizzy as they have been relentlessly calling the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) to enquire whether they can report to work post-May 3.

BN Tiwari, president, FWICE, says, "[With his statement], JD Majethia has sent a wrong message to the daily wagers who now feel that producers are willing to work, but the FWICE is imposing unnecessary restrictions. That is not the case. Maharashtra is at high risk, and we are only concerned about our workers' safety. We have issued a letter to Majethia, asking him not to make such statements."

BN Tiwari

On March 15, various cine bodies had unanimously decided to suspend all shoots in the wake of the pandemic. "Similarly, the decision to resume work will have to be collectively taken by IFTDA, FWICE, Producers' Guild, and other associations," insists Tiwari.

Majethia was keen to propose the resumption of shoots as it would bring relief to the daily wagers. However, Tiwari points out that the associations are standing by those in need. "The industry — including Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Rohit Shetty and Yash Raj Films — has come together to help the workers. Even if the lockdown is lifted on May 3, we may not begin work until May 25. In case the stay-at-home orders are extended to June, we will continue to take care of our workers."

When mid-day reached out to Majethia, he agreed that the recommencement of shoots will be "a collective decision of the industry" with the approval of the government. "It is not as if we have already taken a call. We will start shooting only when it is safe for everyone, but we must start planning for it in advance."

Bigg Boss 13, as we have stated many times, was the most explosive and the most controversial season of all time. Contestants saw the kind of popularity that few of the other actors in the previous seasons saw and they still continue to be in the news for what they are up to now. You might be aware that some screenshots of Rashami Desai's bank transactions being done by Arhaan Khan surfaced on social media that created havoc.

Devoleena took to her Twitter account to extend her support to Rashami and asked her fans and everyone to ignore Arhaan. And this may have irked a few people that began threatening her.
