Debian Security Advisory 4344-1

Debian Linux Security Advisory 4344-1 - Aidan Marlin discovered that roundcube, a skinnable AJAX based webmail solution for IMAP servers, is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability in handling invalid style tag content.

an

Debian Security Advisory 4458-1

Debian Linux Security Advisory 4458-1 - A flaw was discovered in the CalDAV feature in httpd of the Cyrus IMAP server, leading to denial of service or potentially the execution of arbitrary code via a crafted HTTP PUT operation for an event with a long iCalendar property name.

an

Debian Security Advisory 4510-1

Debian Linux Security Advisory 4510-1 - Nick Roessler and Rafi Rubin discovered that the IMAP and ManageSieve protocol parsers in the Dovecot email server do not properly validate input (both pre- and post-login). A remote attacker can take advantage of this flaw to trigger out of bounds heap memory writes, leading to information leaks or potentially the execution of arbitrary code.

Debian Security Advisory 4590-1

Debian Linux Security Advisory 4590-1 - It was discovered that the lmtpd component of the Cyrus IMAP server created mailboxes with administrator privileges if the "fileinto" was used, bypassing ACL checks.

Nagios XI Authenticated Remote Command Execution

This Metasploit module exploits a vulnerability in Nagios XI versions before 5.6.6 in order to execute arbitrary commands as root. The module uploads a malicious plugin to the Nagios XI server and then executes this plugin by issuing an HTTP GET request to download a system profile from the server. For all supported targets except Linux (cmd), the module uses a command stager to write the exploit to the target via the malicious plugin. This may not work if Nagios XI is running in a restricted Unix environment, so in that case the target must be set to Linux (cmd). The module then writes the payload to the malicious plugin while avoiding commands that may not be supported. Valid credentials for a user with administrative privileges are required. This module was successfully tested on Nagios XI 5.6.5 running on CentOS 7. The module may behave differently against older versions of Nagios XI.

Stegano 0.9.7

Stegano is a basic Python Steganography module. Stegano implements two methods of hiding: using the red portion of a pixel to hide ASCII messages, and using the Least Significant Bit (LSB) technique. It is possible to use a more advanced LSB method based on integers sets. The sets (Sieve of Eratosthenes, Fermat, Carmichael numbers, etc.) are used to select the pixels used to hide the information.
