Discussed are a backlight unit and an autostereoscopic 3D (three-dimensional) display device including the same, in which a 3D image can be displayed without using a 3D light controller that includes a liquid crystal layer. The backlight unit may include a 3D light guide plate having first light output patterns, first light sources irradiating light to at least one side of the 3D light guide plate, a 2D (two-dimensional) light guide plate arranged below the 3D light guide plate, and second light sources irradiating light to at least one side of the 2D light guide plate. The first light output patterns are a plurality of line prism patterns spaced apart from each other.

The display apparatus includes a display panel, a light source configured to generate light to be supplied to the display panel, and a reflecting member disposed behind the display panel and formed of a white foam resin to diffuse and reflect light generated from the light source.

An electronic display assembly having forced-air cooling. A thermally conductive plate or a thermally conductive backlight surface is located behind an electronic display of the electronic display assembly and within a housing thereof such that a gap is formed between the plate or backlight surface and an adjacent wall of the housing. External cooling air may be caused to flow in a top-to-bottom direction through the gap in order to remove heat from the electronic display that has been conductively transferred to the gap. A plurality of ribs may be placed within the gap and in thermal communication with the electronic display to enhance the conductive transfer of heat from the electronic display.

One embodiment relates to an apparatus, comprising logic, at least partially incorporated into hardware, to receive a plurality of notifications from each of a plurality of notification sources, determine a ranking score for each notification relative to any other notification received from the same notification source, and determine a notification class for each ranked notification relative to the ranked notifications from all notification sources based upon at least one blending attribute and at least one user contextual state.

The present disclosure provides various systems and methods for indexing digital (electronic) documents and providing various error reporting and identification functions. The systems and methods may utilize various software, hardware, and firmware modules to identify notations, such as primary sheet names and reference sheet names on construction documents. Various algorithms and methods may be employed to identify errors, erroneous notations, missing sheets, missing details, and/or the like to aid in the correction of construction documents. Identified notations are indexed and may be used to create hyperlinked and/or backlinked notations in output files.

A system provides search results in response to a search query. The system includes a query understanding module configured to receive the search query and output a processed search query based on the search query. The search query includes one or more words and the processed search query selectively includes tags assigned to the one or more words. The system includes a fuzzy knowledge module configured to receive the processed search query, generate a set of candidate tags for selected ones of the words in the search query, and selectively validate the candidate tags. The system is configured to provide the search results to a user device based in part on the candidate tags generated and validated by the fuzzy knowledge module.

A method for pushing information proactively includes: receiving updated data; querying search records that match the updated data; determining search records that meet a push condition, and obtaining user information corresponding to the search records that meet the push condition; pushing, according to the user information, the updated data to all or part of users corresponding to the user information. In the embodiments of the present invention, after receiving updated data, the server proactively obtains the search records of users, screens the users according to the push condition, and pushes the updated data to the screened users. In this way, the information is proactively pushed, which shortens the time interval of providing information for the users, and improves the efficiency of obtaining needed information by the users.

Described herein is an extensible extract, transform and load (ETL) framework. In accordance with one aspect of the framework, a file location object and a corresponding file format object are retrieved from a repository. The file location object stores file location parameters that specify a remote file system directory and a local file system directory, while the file format object stores location configuration parameters that specify a data file and the file location object. The data file may be transferred from the remote file system directory to the local file system directory according to the file location parameters and the location configuration parameters. An extract, transform and load (ETL) job may then be performed on the data file to generate an output file.

A data system can include a JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) data source, a cluster computing system, and a hierarchical JSON handler. The schema of the JSON data source can include a hierarchically-structured element having a nested array. The cluster computing system can store datasets across multiple nodes for parallel manipulation. The datasets can have a flat structure and can be queried using a Structured Query Language (SQL). The cluster computing system can lack the ability to directly import the hierarchically-structured element of the JSON data source into a dataset. The hierarchical JSON handler can be configured to extract and flatten the hierarchically-structured element of the JSON data source and import the extracted and flattened JSON data into one or more target datasets of the cluster computing system. The cluster computing system can then able to perform operations upon the target datasets.

Specifically, the present disclosure provides a detailed description of techniques used in systems, methods, and in computer program products for interpreting relational database statements using a virtual multidimensional data model. Certain embodiments are directed to technological solutions for receiving a relational database statement comprising relational metadata mapped to a virtual multidimensional representation of a subject database, and generating a subject database statement based at least in part on the relational database statement and the virtual multidimensional representation, and configurable to operate on the subject database to produce a visualization result set, which embodiments advance the technical fields for addressing the problem of projecting a multidimensional data view of a subject database on to a relational data analysis environment to enable real time data analyses, as well as advancing peripheral technical fields.

Techniques are described for automatic interval metadata determination for intermittent time series data. In one example, a method for determining intermittent time series interval metadata includes detecting one or more time variables in a time series data set. The method further includes determining whether the one or more time variables are intermittently regular. The method further includes determining one or more respective time intervals for the one or more time variables. The method further includes determining the parameters of intermittency for the one or more time variables. The method further includes generating an output comprising information about the one or more time variables based on the one or more respective time intervals and the parameters of intermittency for the time variable.

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can obtain a first batch of content items to be clustered. A set of clusters can be generated by clustering respective binary hash codes for each content item in the first batch, wherein content items included in a cluster are visually similar to one another. A next batch of content items to be clustered can be obtained. One or more respective binary hash codes for the content items in the next batch can be assigned to a cluster in the set of clusters.

Particular embodiments described herein provide for an electronic device that can be configured to analyze data using an ensemble and assign a classification to the data based, at least in part, on the results of the analyses using the ensemble. The ensemble can include one or more multinomial classifiers and each multinomial classifier can assign two or more classifications to the data.

An apparatus, computer-readable medium, and computer-implemented method for visualizing relationships between pairs of columns, comprising identifying a relationship classification corresponding to two columns in a plurality of columns based on a data type of each column in the two columns, applying one or more statistical measures to data in the two columns to generate association data quantifying a plurality of relationships between data values in a first column of the two columns and data values in a second column of the two columns, wherein the one or more statistical measures are determined based at least in part on the relationship classification, and transforming the association data into a visualization, wherein the visualization comprises one or more indicators corresponding to one or more relationships in the plurality of relationships and wherein a layout of the visualization is determined based on the relationship classification.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for determining a similar document set to a target document from a plurality of documents. Each of the multiple documents and the target document may include a plurality of words, and each of words corresponds to a different integer. The method comprises: for each document among the plurality of documents and the target document, obtaining a set of integers associated with a document based on a set of words associated with the document, converting the set of integers associated with the document into a vector with a same dimension based on a predefined conversion rule; and determining the similar document set based on differences between the corresponding vectors for the multiple documents and the vector for the target document.

Rank aggregation based on a Markov model is disclosed. One example is a system including a query processor, at least two information retrievers, a Markov model, and an evaluator. The query processor receives a query via a processing system. Each of the at least two information retrievers retrieves a plurality of document categories responsive to the query, each of the plurality of document categories being at least partially ranked. The Markov model generates a Markov process based on the at least partial rankings of the respective plurality of document categories. The evaluator determines, via the processing system, an aggregate ranking for the plurality of document categories, the aggregate ranking based on a probability distribution of the Markov process.

There is provided a method for fingerprinting and matching of content of a multi-media file. The method comprises extracting (S1) fingerprints from at least a portion of the multi-media file in the form of content features detected in at least two different modalities, each content feature detected in a respective modality, and building (S2) a multi-vector fingerprint pattern representing the multi-media file by representing the content features in at least one feature vector per modality. The method also comprises comparing (S3) the multi-vector fingerprint pattern to fingerprint patterns corresponding to known multi-media content, in a database based on a multi-modality matching analysis to identify whether the multi-vector fingerprint pattern has a level of similarity to any of the fingerprint patterns in the database that exceeds a threshold.

A system and method for profiling a user may generate abstract data based on features identified in visual content, the visual content stored in a computing device of a user, and may generate a profile of the user based on the abstract data and based on metadata related to the visual content. A profile may be used to perform at least one of: generating a prediction related to a behavior of the user and selecting content to be presented to the user.

A search system includes a device controller that provisions a device to execute a copy of a selected mobile application. A crawler extracts content and metadata from states of the selected mobile application. A search input state classifier identifies search input states within the states based on a first set of heuristics, including recognition of user-visible search indicia and recognition of metadata that correlates with search functionality. A parameter identifier identifies, for each of the search input states, necessary input parameters. A search function data store stores a record for each identified search function. Each record includes a path to reach a corresponding search input state, an indication of required input parameters, and a mapping of the input parameters to user interface widgets. A query processing system uses the stored search functions to scrape content from the selected mobile application in response to a query.

Disclosed are a Chinese website classification method and system based on characteristic analysis of a website homepage. The method specifically comprises the following steps: S1, crawling website content; S2, labeling a website type; S3, extracting website information; S4, calculating a weight and representing the weight in the form of a characteristic vector; and S5, classifying the website by comparing the characteristic vector. By utilizing the above Chinese website classification method and system, the noise interference can be alleviated to the greatest extent by only extracting a title and meta-information of the website; by means of pre-processing and characteristic vector expression, the characteristics of the website are accurately expressed with the vector, so that the accuracy of classification is increased; and since only the title and meta-information of the website need to be processed, the quantity of data to be processed is small, and the processing speed is high.

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can determine a profile model for a page that is accessible through the social networking system, the profile model describing one or more modal characteristics of users of the social networking system that have fanned the page. A determination can be made that the page should be recommended to a first user of the social networking system based at least in part on the profile model. At least one page recommendation that references the page can be provided to the first user.

An application complementation module may access application data from an application repository, the application data associated with a first application. The data collections of a data service provider (e.g., OData service) used in the first application and at least one navigation used in the first application to navigate between the data collections are determined based on the application data. Service metadata (e.g., Entity Data Model (EDM)) from the data service provider is searched for new navigations between the used data collections that are different from the navigations used in the first application. An application that is complementary (e.g., provides different or complementary navigations) to the first application may then be generated based on the data collections used in the first application and any new navigations between the data collections discovered from the service metadata. A recommendation regarding the generated application may be provided to a user of the first application.

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a search query input comprising one or more n-grams; parsing the search query input to identify keywords; generating query commands for the keywords. Each query command may specify: a particular object-type; one or more identifiers of one or more objects that match the search query input; and one or more types of relationships with respect to the objects. A system and method for generating recommendations based on personalized multimedia content element clusters. The method includes obtaining a personalized multimedia content element cluster associated with a user, wherein the personalized multimedia content element cluster includes a plurality of multimedia content elements related to a common concept, wherein the common concept represents a user interest of the user; analyzing the obtained personalized multimedia content element cluster to determine at least one query; searching, using the determined at least one query, for at least one relevant multimedia content element that is relevant to the user interest of the user; and providing, to the user, at least one recommended multimedia content element of the at least one relevant multimedia content element found during the search.

Systems and methods are provided for previewing content that is located behind the links of a search results webpage without having to click on the links and thereby cause webpage changes. Embodiments provide a webpage that presents a first set of search results in response to a search query submitted by a user. This webpage is displayed in a graphical user interface and the first set of search results comprises one or more links to other search results webpages, which are defined dynamically and cannot be pre-computed. In the event a user mouses over one of the links, embodiments execute the search associated with the moused-over link and then render selected portions of the search results in a preview window that is positioned over a portion the webpage that displays the first set of search results.

The invention relates to a computer implemented method of storing/recovering in/from a storage data structure a multitude of sequences that have been aligned with a reference data structure. The information of the sequences is stored in different sections. Each section comprises data streams comprising specific data of the sequences having a reference position in the reference position range associated with the data stream. In a first section, the length of the sequences is stored. In a second section, the mutations of a sequence with respect to the reference sequence are stored. In a third section, consensus based quality values are linked with positions in the reference sequence. In a fourth section, the sequence identifiers are stored. The storage data structure has a format which is optimized for viewer, re-alignment, variant calling and other post-processing tools.

A self-monitoring time series database system which enforces usage policies is described. A time series database system receives an alert trigger condition for a system user, wherein the system user is associated with multiple time series data points corresponding to multiple subsystems of the time series database system. The time series database system aggregates the multiple time series data points in an internal time series data point, which is internal to the time series database system, associated with the system user. The time series database system evaluates whether the internal time series data point associated with the system user meets the alert trigger condition. The time series database system reduces a level of access by the system user to the time series database system in response to an evaluation that the internal time series data point associated with the system user meets the alert trigger condition.

Embodiments of the present disclosure include systems and methods for controlling modification of a data file that is accessed by multiple components of an application platform. The method for controlling modification of a data file includes: preparing a link constraint data that includes information of a data file and a component of an application platform, the component being associated with the data file; preparing an alert data that includes information of the data file and a person having a permission to modify the data file; responsive to an attempt of a user to modify the data file, retrieving the information of the component from the link constraint data and the information of the person from the alert data; and sending a notice of the attempt to at least one of the person and the user.

Networking systems and methods for establishing and maintaining virtual computing clouds are disclosed. A networking system can comprise a server and various instances of a software agent, each agent being installed on a computing device participating in a virtual computing cloud. The server can maintain account setting for a user, wherein the settings can indicate which files on indicated computing devices are included in the virtual computing cloud. The networking system can selectively synchronize data between the computing devices automatically and in a secure manner, and can transmit data in real time to simulate local storage when synchronization of certain files is inappropriate in light of file incompatibility. As a result, the networking system can provide the user with a seamless, automatic system and method for accessing a total computing environment.

A method for separating carbon dioxide from a gas stream, in particular from a flue gas stream, wherein, a gas stream is brought into contact with a washing medium in an absorber of a separation device and the carbon dioxide contained in the gas stream is separated; the charged washing medium is supplied to a desorber of the separation device to release the carbon dioxide; a vapor stream is removed from the desorber and is supplied to a cooling unit to form a condensate; degradation products, in particular nitrosamines, contained in at least a partial stream of the condensate are photolytically decomposed to decomposition products; at least the decomposition products, in particular nitrites and amines, are removed; and at least a partial stream of the condensate is returned to the desorber. A corresponding separation device separates carbon dioxide from a gas stream.

A device for separating carbon dioxide from a gas stream, in particular from a flue gas stream, includes an absorber for separating the carbon dioxide from the gas stream by means of a washing medium, a desorber which is fludically connected to the absorber to release the absorbed carbon dioxide from the washing medium, a gas cooler which is fludically connected upstream of the absorber to cool the gas stream, and a processing unit which is connected downstream of the gas cooler and which is equipped and designed to clean water from the gas cooler. A method separates carbon dioxide from a gas stream.

The invention relates to a method for preparing an adsorptive filter unit having extended useful cycle times and/or an extended service life, especially improved and/or greater resilience and/or resistance against biological contamination and/or biological fouling, in particular and adsorptive filter unit for treating and/or purifying a fluid medium.

Electret webs include a thermoplastic resin and a charge-enhancing additive. The charge-enhancing additive is a fused aromatic thiourea, a fused aromatic urea compound, or a combination thereof. The change-enhancing additive may also include a hindered amine light stabilizer compound. The electret webs may be a non-woven fibrous web or a film. The electret webs are suitable for use as filter media.

A method of removing or reducing the particulate buildup within the diesel particulate filter of an aftertreatment system includes the selective application of a blocking agent to a filter medium of the diesel particulate filter, displacement of the particulate from the filter medium using a fluid stream, and subsequent removal of the blocking agent.

A device for extraction of pollutants by multichannel tubular membrane containing at least one fluid channel allowing the fluid to go through a feed inlet to an outlet end characterized in that membrane comprises at least an extraction channel filled with molten salt in order to adsorb said pollutants having to be extracted from the said fluid. Advantageously, the membrane is a ceramic membrane. An application is for the treatment of traces of pollutants in a liquid or gaseous fluid. For example, the removal of small pollutants as volatile organic compounds from an aqueous stream in industrial wastewater treatment or other water treatment applications, or the separation of aromatic compounds form an hydrocarbon feed in petrochemical applications. Another application is in the removal of water traces in products of high added value as pharmaceutical, cosmetic or biocarburant for example.

A filter system and method use a filter housing that defines an interior chamber and that includes an inlet opening extending into the interior chamber. The outer air flow housing has an outlet conduit through which a flow of air having particles is directed toward the inlet opening of the filter housing along a flow direction toward the interior chamber of the filter housing. The outer air flow housing engages the filter housing such that the filter housing is separated from the outer air flow housing along the flow direction to permit at least some of the air to pass around an exterior of the filter housing and exit the outer air flow housing while the particles in the at least some of the air pass into the interior chamber of the filter housing through the inlet opening.

Implementations disclosed herein provide a compact downdraft table system comprising a vertically oriented cylindrical filter cartridge located below a work surface in a main housing of the downdraft table, a purge assembly in the main housing vertically aligned with the filter cartridge that discharges purged air to an interior of the filter cartridge to purge particulates collected on an exterior of the filter cartridge, and a self-closing louvre in the main housing that permits air flow from the work surface, through the louvre, and through the filter assembly in a first direction, and prevents purged air flow from flowing through the louvre to the work surface in a second direction opposite the first direction.

Implementations disclosed herein provide a compact downdraft table comprising a spark arrestor oriented below a work surface, a vertically oriented cylindrical filter cartridge located below the work surface, a fan assembly that draws air through the work surface, the spark arrestor, and the filter cartridge and exhausts filtered air out of the downdraft table, a purge assembly that discharges purged air to an interior of the filter cartridge to purge particulates collected on an exterior of the filter cartridge, wherein the spark arrestor, filter cartridge, fan assembly, and purge assembly are all contained within a main housing for the downdraft table.
