BECKY JAMES - ROAD TO RIO: I never thought I’d be so excited about training, but having been in Manchester for the last couple of months following a year on the sidelines, it feels so good to be back.

Things are all gearing up right now for the London Open in September and I'm enjoying being in full time training. The competition is basically a trial for the World Championships in Glasgow

Some of you won’t like me saying this, but I feel old! I know I’m only 22 but I’m diving so much and working so hard that my body is sore every day. I’m training for the World Aquatics Championship.

I'm really looking forward to it, I can’t wait to get to Rio. Obviously I've got to qualify first, like I say for every competition and take it step by step.

The Olympics in Rio is definitely where I want to be next year. There are lots of other events coming up but Rio is my main target and that’s why I’m training so hard... because it's all about Rio.

I can’t wait for Rio 2016! It’s come around so quickly – it feels like London 2012 was last week. But hopefully I’ll be in good shape next year, make that team and do everyone proud.

I was 18 when the Games were held in London and narrowly missed out on a place in the squad. It was disappointing being so close last time round, but there's nothing stopping me this time.

It’s only a year to go until the Olympics start, but there’s still plenty of work to do. We went to Rio earlier this year and it was fantastic. I'm really looking forward to getting in the pool out there.

ROAD TO RIO'S SALLY BROWN: It’s been a really tough couple of years for me, but I’m really hoping everything is going to come together in time for Rio next year.

BECKY JAMES: It's been an emotional roller-coaster but I'm finally getting my confidence back. After the National Championships this weekend I can focus on making it to the Olympics in Rio next year.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m playing out in Spain but Rio still feels quite far away. You kind of forget things over here but once we get back in camp with the British team it will all sink in.
