Could a vaccine wipe out COVID-19 or will protection be short-term? That's the 'million dollar question'

Would a vaccine for the new coronavirus wind up offering long-lasting immunity? Or will the virus prove to be a shape-shifter, mutating quickly enough that people need annual vaccines like those for seasonal strains of influenza? Researchers are probing for answers in the rush to develop a vaccine for COVID-19.

CME Group strongly recommends customers finish their processing prior to 18:55 CT and do not access any CME Clearing House systems during this window.

New - CME ConfirmHub Decommissioning and Functional Transition to CME STP

Effective December 31, 2016, CME ConfirmHub Portal and most features of the CME ConfirmHub API are slated to be decommissioned in order to simplify and harmonize CME Group’s post-trade portfolio management capabilities. To continue to support trade submission and viewing, many CME ConfirmHub features will be transitioned to CME STP.

Post-transition, only Bilateral and Cleared elsewhere trade submission capabilities will be available on CME ConfirmHub API.  The following features will be available on CME STP:

  • Confirmations from CME Group to the Client for Bilateral and Cleared Elsewhere deals
  • A new CME STP User Interface for viewing cleared trade records and trade confirmation letters

Please note:

Enhancements to CME Direct and CME ClearPort API will allow brokers to submit trades for CME clearing which have been enriched with broker fee data.
  • All CME ConfirmHub API messages include a robust set of product reference data attributes. CME STP will support the following:
    • Exchange-defined product codes for all exchange-traded transactions (CME-cleared and cleared-elsewhere).  Comprehensive product reference data to be provided through alternative means by respective exchanges.
    • A robust set of product reference data attributes for Bilateral transactions

  • Trading Firms must migrate to CME STP from CME ConfirmHub by the end of the year to retrieve CME Cleared, Bilateral, and Cleared Elsewhere confirmations. See more here.
  • Broker Firms must enrich CME Cleared transactions with broker fees, if applicable, and submit all CME Cleared transactions using either CME Direct or CME ClearPort API. Bilateral and Cleared Elsewhere deals will continue to be submitted via ConfirmHub API. See more here.
