Questions About Healing, Faith And Unbelief

In this message on Matthew 17:14-21, David addresses some critical questions about healing and what the Bible says. Some may object to any emphasis on healing as a distraction from the gospel's central message. However, the record of the Gospels and the Acts is that healing was intrinsic to Jesus' revelation of the Father to humanity. In this teaching, learn how faith affects healing and how our unbelief can affect our faith. This message is available at https://www.preachtheword.com now in MP3 audio format...

The Healing Presence

The power to save, heal and set free is God's power. In this healing story from Luke 5:17, we see God's power was present with Jesus to heal. We need to practice God's healing presence rather than the presence of sickness, darkness, Satan or sin. So often, when we face such obstacles, we focus on the problem, but the answer to our problems is never in the problem. The healing presence is where we must abide. The Healing Of A Deaf And Mute Man

What a predicament to be both deaf and mute - cut off from communication and the community. Here was a man who exemplified not only those with similar physical impediments but also the spiritual condition of humanity. Yet a physical healing took place for this man in a rather unconventional manner. Here, we learn how God's methods are not always reasonable to us. There is a beautiful revelation in this 'Healing Of A Deaf And Mute Man' of the unique ways God moves with each of us and how compassionate and considerate He is to us as individuals. God's Holy Kingdom

In 1 Corinthians 6:9-20, Paul gives a list of the sinful lifestyles that will not inherit 'God's Holy Kingdom' - we are not to be deceived! However, every 'type' of sinner can enter the kingdom of God through repentance and faith. Paul exhorts us to live up to our identity as citizens of the kingdom of God. He challenges us as to our behaviours, what influences we are under or bound by and whether or not we are filled with the Holy Spirit as God's holy temples. Condems, Bringing 19th Century Values to 21st Century Britain.

Captioned Photo Kindly provided by Christos Palmer

I was reading "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens yesterday, a book written in 1843, and I'd like to share this excerpt from the first chapter.

Two men enter Scrooges office on Christmas eve asking for charity for the poor.

.... "at this festive season of the year Mr Scrooge," said the gentlemen, taking up a pen "it is more than usually desirable that we should make some light provision for the poor and destitute, who suffer greatly at the present time. Many thousands are in want of common comforts sir."

"Are there no prisons?" asked Scrooge.

"Plenty of prisons" said the gentlemen. Laying down the pen again.

"And the union work houses?" demanded Scrooge. "Are they still in operation?"

"They are still" returned the gentleman "I wish I could say they were not"

"The treadmill and the poor law are in full vigour then?" said Scrooge.

"Both very busy sir"

"Oh! I was  afraid from what you said at first, that something had occurred to stop them in their Useful course", said Scrooge "I'm very glad to hear it".

"Under the impression that they scarcely furnish Christian cheer of mind or body in the multitude" returned the gentlemen "  few of us are endeavouring to raise a fund to buy the poor some meat drink, and means of warmth. We choose this time, because of all others, when want is keenly felt, and abundance rejoices. What shall I put you down for?"

"Nothing!" Scrooge replied

"You wish to be anonymous?"

"I wish to be left alone" said Scrooge "since you ask me what I wish, gentlemen that is my answer. I don't make merry myself and I can't afford to make idle people merry. I help to support the establishments I have mentioned - they cost enough; and those who are badly off must go there."

"Many can't go there; and many would rather die"

"If they would rather die" said Scrooge "they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population. Besides - excuse me but I do not know that"

"But you might know it" observed the gentlemen.

"It is not my business" Scrooge returned "it is enough for a man to understand his own business, and not to intrude with other peoples. Mine occupies me constantly. Good afternoon gentlemen."

Seeing Clearly that it would be useless to pursue their point, the gentlemen withdrew. Scrooge resumed his labours with an improved opinion of himself, and an even more facitious temper than was usual with him...

As you can see the attitude towards the poor and destitute in Britain is becoming chillingly close to that of 19th century Britain. The current government is bringing values from that century that even the Victorians were ashamed of  and sought to bring to public attention the hypocrisy and barbarism of as early as 1843 to this century.

So before you harshly judge a benefit claimant as workshy or a scrounger remember, the welfare state was bought in to put a stop to the inhumane methods of dealing with the poor used before it's creation. The benefit claimants of today are no different to the poor and destitute of the Victorian era. Do not let the government drag us back to the 19th century with their propaganda about "benefit dependency" and "tough love".

The only thing that will end benefit dependency and help the long term unemployed and sick and disabled back to work is job creation, and a more sympathetic and helpful attitude towards them, that enables them to get work and remain employed. Labeling, hounding and cutting off benefits will not help anyone except the government in their endeavours to save money, caused by a crisis they created with their relentless pursuit of profit over humanity.

"Residential Training Provision", A Nicer Word For Work Camps?

Yesterday morning I was horrified to read that a report had surfaced saying they were planning "Residential Training" for Disabled and long term Unemployed people. After all welfare reform has been crashing disaster so far. Thousands have people have been declared fit for work with no impact assessment, or proper program in place to actually get us back into work after years of unemployment. So far it seems like a cold hearted attempt to get us of benefits at any cost, they don't seem to care if we end up with a job, or whether we end up destitute and dying, just as long as we don't ever get "ESA".

Also the anti-disabled propaganda display has made disabled people even more unattractive to potential employers, why did they do this ridiculous thing we all wonder? I think it's a misinterpretation of something good old Mansel Aylward said in his horrific "Psycho Social Theory Of Disability". He told them they needed to make disabled people working the "social norm". They could have chosen to try and make employers want to employ disabled people, encouraged compassion and patience, offered training and support for disabled people straight away. But instead the idiots opted to just make it a social crime to dare to claim disability benefits, no matter how ill you really are. Now people who walk with sticks or use mobility scooters (even those who aren't on any disability benefits) face abuse in the streets, and are accused of "faking" their disability.

 The thousands of people dying after being told they were "fit to work" (10,600 in the first year) are being covered up and minimised, now not even recorded by the DWP. If you are disabled and don't work you are considered lowest of the low now. The fools have created yet another "barrier to work" for us.

So when I read they were planning work camps, I had no trouble believing IDS and his evil crew had come up with that idea. I broke out in a cold sweat and felt the familiar twist of panic and though "My God what are they going to do to us now?..." But then I actually read the paper.

It doesn't seem as bad as we first thought, its only in the planning stages at the moment but they are now actually doing what they should have done in the first place. Holding consultations about what they can actually do to HELP disabled people get back into work. It is literally residential training, and you will have a choice as to whether you go as residential or not. You can read the full report "Residential Training Provision - Independent Advisory Report" by clicking here.

As I said before they SHOULD have been looking into things like this before they rolled out the new "Work Capability Assessment" and had it in place before they declared thousands of us fit for work, closed lots of Remploy factories, and cut us adrift, making us sign on JSA with advisors who have no training in helping disabled people back to work. This is the sort of thing the report suggests, more advisors who are trained, and more practical courses that actually help you cope with disability and get employed. Not rubbish just designed to make money for the companies that provide them, while we're pushed from pillars to post and called "Lying Thieving Bastards" behind our backs.

All we have to fear is that they won't listen to what has been recommended, which they haven't been great at so far lets face it have they? Or they will start to do it, but like everything they've done in the past that works they will stop it because it costs too much.

We must keep our eyes on how this progresses, but don't be too scared, 75% of people on disability benefits want to work, they are finally going to try and help us. If they listen to the independent advice that is, and Tories generally don't like listening to anyone else's advice do they? But it shows our campaigning is paying off, they are looking into it at least.

Please help keep up the pressure on them to finally get it Right  by signing the War On Welfare Petition if you haven't already.

The Gagging Law And Why We Need To Worry

You may wonder why should be so concerned about the gagging law since it barely effects the small fry like us, but we need to worry, as it will in ways we wouldn't expect. Basically small campaign groups will be at a massive disadvantage to Political Parties financially in the year before an election when it comes to expressing their views on policy and trying to win votes (the amount of money campaign groups can spend will be limited for the whole year, while MP's can spend as much as they want until 4 months before the election) .
It won't effect smaller groups like us as we don't spend much, if any money. But larger groups who would speak up for us like 38 Degrees and Trade Unions etc will not be able to spend money on events with speakers, printed material and things like that, so will be effectively be gagged. Without the help we've had so far from groups like this things would be even worse for the poor and downtrodden, as there would be no one raising awareness for us on a large scale.
Once 2015 begins it will all be down to small grass roots campaign groups to raise awareness of how many thousands of us are being treated by the sweeping changes this government has made, and no other future government has any intention of reversing judging by what they have said so far. Social media accounts that mock the government are already being shut down on twitter, in the year before the election many more will go too, along with other pages promoting the alternative media and our take on what is going on.
Combined with the new policing and antisocial behaviour bill it will make it pretty much impossible for smaller groups to have peaceful flash protests too where we raise awareness with the public of what is happening, as they will be able to arrest us just for being there. You can see now why they are preparing water cannons for the summer etc, they are going to start arresting peaceful protestors who pose no threat, which will spark anger and trigger Police brutality. The media will present what started out as peaceful protest as a riot, and we will not have got our message out.
It all goes to show that the government are scared of us and want to silence us, and that our democratic rights are slowly being eroded. Don't look back and wonder why you did nothing, join us in peacefully fighting these unjust laws.
It's understandable if you don't want to join a protest, I don't trust the metropolitan Police to be able to use a water cannon safely either, you may not realise this but they are not there simply to get you wet, they are a crowd control device. They have different settings from "get them wet" to "punt them a few meters down the road into stationary objects in bone smashing agony". They have to be used with precision and be fired from exactly the right distance away or people will get broken bones and possibly even die. If one goes off way too close the jet hitting you alone can take your skin off. The Met don't exactly have a good track record for getting this sort of shit right do they either? Look how many unarmed people they've shot and just gone "oh sorry my bad we thought he had a gun", then just got away with it, and now were giving the water cannons?!
Also please remember when the media show you protests they only show you the people who were kicking off, the photographers dive in to get a picture of the person being arrested elbowing people out of the way to get that footage. I've been at many and the vast majority of people at these events are completely peaceful and just exercising our democratic right to protest, and if we stop now we face a horrific dystopian future where huge corporations actually openly control everything and there will be nothing we can do about it.
I understand many of you have reasons to live and don't want to die trying to peacefully resist what this government is doing, just spare a thought for those of us who have lost everything and no longer care. I've always been a pacifist and will never turn to violence, but I also will never stop fighting any other way I can for our rights and for justice for all the people who have already died as a result of the changes to the welfare system. Under the new laws passive resisters like myself  will be treated as brutally as someone attacking the Police or causing damage to property though. I really hope it doesn't turn out to be as bad as this and we can raise enough awareness of what these new laws mean before it gets to the point where peaceful protestors are being hurt in large numbers. But we've already seen the videos of how brutally students were treated for daring to try and protest peacefully on their own campus, in some cases by private security guards not even the Police. There has not been enough of an outcry about that too in my opinion so it doesn't look good.
I'll leave you with some footage of the Irish Police (who are trained to use water cannons) demonstrating water cannon use. Notice how they still manage to fuck it up and actually get the crowd wet as they drove it to close to them when demonstrating the "diffuser" setting.

Also listen to the sound this Turkish protestors body makes as he crashes to the ground, and notice how motionless he is, and believe me if you were from Turkey you would be angry and protesting too so don't judge him harshly for angrily shouting at the water cannon and provoking them.

12C: IN DATABASE ARCHIVING

In this post, I will demonstrate a new feature introduced in 12c : In database archiving. It enables you to archive rows within a table by marking them as invisible. This is accomplshed  by means of a hidden column ORA_ARCHIVE_STATE. These invisible rows are not visible to the queries but if needed, can be viewed , by setting a session parameter ROW ARCHIVAL VISIBILITY.

Overview:

-- Create test user uilm, tablespace ilmtbs
-- Connect as user uilm
-- create and populate test table (5 rows) ilmtab with row archival clause
-- Note that the table has an additional column ORA_ARCHIVE_STATE automatically created   and has the default value of 0 (indicates that row is active)
-- Note that this column is not visible when we describe the table or simply issue select * from ...
-- We need to access data dictionary to view the column
-- Make two  rows in the table inactive by setting ORA_ARCHIVE_STATE column to a non zero value.
-- Check that inactive rows are not visible to query
-- Set the parameter ROW ARCHIVAL VISIBILITY  = all to see inactive rows also
-- Set the parameter ROW ARCHIVAL VISIBILITY  = active to hide inactive rows
-- Issue an insert into ... select * and check that only 3 visible rows are inserted
-- Set the parameter ROW ARCHIVAL VISIBILITY  = all to see inactive rows also
-- Issue an insert into ... select * and check that all the rows are inserted but ORA_ARCHIVE_STATE    is not propagated in inserted rows
-- Disable row archiving in the table and check that column ORA_ARCHIVE_STATE is automatically dropped
-- drop tablespace ilmtbs and user uilm

articles:

Finding gaps is classic problem in PL/SQL. The basic concept is that you have some sort of numbers (like these: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26), where there’s supposed to be a fixed interval between the entries, but some entries could be missing. The gaps problem involves identifying the ranges of missing values in the sequence. For these numbers, the solution will be as follows:
START_GAP END_GAP
4 4
7 7
11 14
16 19
24 24

First, run the following code, to create tab1 table:

CREATE TABLE tab1
(
col1 INTEGER
);

Then, insert a few rows:

INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (1);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (2);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (3);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (5);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (6);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (8);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (9);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (10);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (15);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (20);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (21);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (22);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (23);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (25);
INSERT INTO tab1 VALUES (26);

COMMIT;

With data, you can take care of solving the gaps problem…

One of the most efficient solutions to the gaps problem involves using analytic functions (also known as window functions)

WITH aa AS
(SELECT col1 AS cur_value, LEAD (col1) OVER (ORDER BY col1) AS next_value
FROM tab1)
SELECT cur_value + 1 AS start_gap, next_value - 1 AS end_gap
FROM aa
WHERE next_value - cur_value > 1
ORDER BY start_gap

Using the LEAD function, you can return for each current col1 value (call it cur_value) the next value in the sequence (call it next_value). Then you can filter only pairs where the difference between the two is greater than the one.

SQL*Plus error logging – New feature release 11.1

articles:

One of the most important things that a developer does apart from just code development is, debugging. Isn’t it? Yes, debugging the code to fix the errors that are raised. But, in order to actually debug, we need to first capture them somewhere. As of now, any application has it’s own user defined error logging table(s).

Imagine, if the tool is rich enough to automatically capture the errors. It is very much possible now with the new SQL*PLus release 11.1

A lot of times developers complain that they do not have privilege to create tables and thus they cannot log the errors in a user defined error logging table. In such cases, it’s a really helpful feature, at least during the unit testing of the code.

I made a small demonstration in SCOTT schema using the default error log table SPERRORLOG, hope this step by step demo helps to understand easily :

NOTE : SQL*Plus error logging is set OFF by default. So, you need to “set errorlogging on” to use the SPERRORLOG table.

Like shown above, you can capture PLS errors too.

If you want to execute it through scripts, you can do it like this, and later spool the errors into a file. I kept these three lines in the sperrorlog_test.sql file -

Check Oracle documentation on SPERRORLOG.

In addition to above, if you want to be particularly specific about each session’s error to be spooled into a file you could do this -

SQL> set errorlogging on identifier my_session_identifier

Above mentioned IDENTIFIER keyword becomes a column in SPERRORLOG table. It would get populated with the string value “my_session_identifier”. Now you just need to do this -
SQL> select timestamp, username, script, statement, message
2 from sperrorlog
3 where identifier = 'my_session_identifier';

To spool the session specific errors into a file, just do this -

SQL> spool error.log
SQL> select timestamp, username, script, statement, message
2 from sperrorlog
3 where identifier = 'my_session_identifier';
SQL> spool off

Happy Fucking Birthday Time ...

There was a time that I really looked forward to my birthday. When I turned 16, I was ecstatic because I was able to get my drivers license. When I became 18, I was finally considered an adult... for the most part. And on my 21st birthday, I was able to " legally " get into clubs and bars. Alas, those glorious days of positive milestones are gone... long gone!
Now birthdays bring with them more negative than positive connotation's.
This years birthday is a good example. I'm about to become a member of the "Forty Something Crowd"... You know, that group of people who aren't really that old but their not really that young either.
Last year I turned forty. It really wasn't that big of deal. After all, just a year before I had been in my thirties.
Forty Something, on the other hand, has a totally different feel. I'm entering into that obscure age zone where the really crazy shit starts to happen. MILFs start transforming into GILFs. The word cougar takes on a whole new meaning. Hair color goes from fashion choice to necessity. Visions of boob jobs dance in your head. And the term " Her Age" starts being inserted into the most positive statements about you, i.e. "She's fucking hot... for her age".
No, I'm not overly thrilled about my 41st birthday, but I suppose that I'll get used to it. ARGGGGGGGGG ...

Elektrsich verwarmd binnenvest 12 Volt Gerbing

Gerbing elektrsich verwamde 7 Volt sokken.
