A film-forming device and a film forming method are provided. The film-forming device is configured to form an organic material thin film at a target region of a substrate and includes a gas supplying mechanism and a gas injection mechanism. The gas supplying mechanism is configured to import a mixture gas of organic material steam and an inert gas into the gas injection mechanism. The gas injection mechanism is configured to inject the mixture gas from the gas supplying mechanism onto the target region of the substrate.

A method for producing a porous polyimide film comprises: forming a first un-burned composite film wherein the first film is formed on a substrate using a first varnish that contains (A1) a polyamide acid or a polyimide and (B1) fine particles at a volume ratio (A1):(B1) of from 19:81 to 45:65; forming a second un-burned composite film wherein the second film is formed on the first film using a second varnish that contains (A2) a polyamide acid or a polyimide and (B2) fine particles at a volume ratio (A2):(B2) of from 20:80 to 50:50 and has a lower fine particle content ratio than the first varnish; burning wherein an un-burned composite film composed of the first film and the second film is burned, thereby obtaining a polyimide-fine particle composite film; and a fine particle removal step wherein the fine particles are removed from the polyimide-fine particle composite film.

The present disclosure provides a method for manufacturing an energy-storage composite material. The method includes (a) providing a solution having a carbon substrate, and placing the solution in a pressure container, and a surface of the carbon substrate having an energy-storage active precursor; (b) stirring the solution having the carbon substrate at a first stirring speed, and venting air in the pressure container at a first temperature, such that a pressure in the pressure container reaches a first pressure and is maintained for a first period of time; and (c) introducing a fluid into the pressure container, stirring the solution having the carbon substrate at a second stirring speed, increasing a pressure and a temperature in the pressure container to a second pressure and a second temperature and maintaining for a second period of time, and then reducing the pressure to the atmosphere pressure to obtain an energy-storage composite material.

Disclosed is a silicon-based anode active material for a lithium secondary battery. The silicon-based anode active material imparts high capacity and high power to the lithium secondary battery, can be used for a long time, and has good thermal stability. Also disclosed is a method for preparing the silicon-based anode active material. The method includes (A) binding metal oxide particles to the entire surface of silicon particles or portions thereof to form a silicon-metal oxide composite, (B) coating the surface of the silicon-metal oxide composite with a polymeric material to form a silicon-metal oxide-polymeric material composite, and (C) heat treating the silicon-metal oxide-polymeric material composite under an inert gas atmosphere to convert the coated polymeric material layer into a carbon coating layer.

The module has three surfaces for treating the geometric aberration of the light rays, two of which are borne by the primary optical component. The exit face of the light-entrance member is placed in a plane coincident with an object focal plane of the projecting system formed by the primary and secondary optical components.

A light emitting diode (LED) module for a light fixture includes a substrate with an upper surface and a lower surface. Various pressure multiplying pads are integrally connected to the lower surface, and each pressure multiplying pad extends away from the lower surface. LEDs are attached to the upper surface, along with a set of conductive lines so that each conductive line electrically connects a corresponding LED to a power inputs. Each of the pressure multiplying pads may be positioned opposite a corresponding LED. A method for providing assistance in aiming of one or more illumination devices in an area may include, by a processor, receiving photometric data for an area, and using the photometric data to determine an aiming vector for the illumination device. the area may include the illumination device. the method may further include receiving, from an orientation sensor module of the illumination device, orientation data for the illumination device, and using the orientation data and the aiming vector to determine if there is an error in the aiming of the illumination device.

A light fixture includes one or more of light emitting diode (LED) modules. Each of the LED modules may include a substrate holding a plurality of LEDs, and a printed circuit board connected to the plurality of LEDs. Each of the LED modules may also include a flexible lens cover including a plurality of lenses, each positioned to be located over one of the LEDs. The flexible lens cover may include a side sealing structure configured to interface with the substrate and seal the lens cover to the substrate.

When a person uses a computer, the graphic display of the computer screen causes a user's eye blink rate to be reduced by an average of sixty-six percent. This reduction in blinking can cause a variety of eye ailments, such as eye strain that results from lack of adequate blinking. This system is a light display system for compelling a computer user to blink their eyes. In one embodiment, the system includes a computer screen, a light source associated with a controller configured to execute a program to activate and deactivate the light source, wherein the light source turns the light on and off when the light source is activated, and deactivated. The systems and methods provide advantages in that a computer user will involuntarily blink as the light source is activated, which will increase the overall blink rate of the computer user's eyes, and reduce eyestrain therefrom.

An apparatus and method for assembling a display device to which is coupled a light guide that has smooth surfaces for light-transmission and at least one surface that is for light scattering and internal reflection. The method includes depositing a reflective coating on that surface, and installing the display device with coupled light guide in an interior of a meter housing or casing. A portion of the casing interior is filled with a component, such as epoxy, for sealing the case interior to protect the display device and light guide against water and dust penetration. All surfaces of the light guide are protected from direct contact with the epoxy. This approach greatly simplifies the assembly process and yields a robust display that also prevents light leakage from the light guide.

A white reflective film for an edge light backlight improves the luminance and unevenness therein, voids uneven close contact with, and scraping of, the light guide plate, and minimizes the crushing of convexes formed on at least one side, even in cases where the reflective film is laid directly over a corrugated chassis designed to house circuitry or the reflective film is used in combination with LEDs. The film satisfies (i) to (iii): (i) a stiffness of 2 to 10 mN·m; (ii) convexes have been formed on at least one face (A), and their maximum height is 5 to 60 μm; (iii) the convexes contain an aromatic polyester.

An electronic display assembly having forced-air cooling. A thermally conductive plate or a thermally conductive backlight surface is located behind an electronic display of the electronic display assembly and within a housing thereof such that a gap is formed between the plate or backlight surface and an adjacent wall of the housing. External cooling air may be caused to flow in a top-to-bottom direction through the gap in order to remove heat from the electronic display that has been conductively transferred to the gap. A plurality of ribs may be placed within the gap and in thermal communication with the electronic display to enhance the conductive transfer of heat from the electronic display.

One embodiment relates to an apparatus, comprising logic, at least partially incorporated into hardware, to receive a plurality of notifications from each of a plurality of notification sources, determine a ranking score for each notification relative to any other notification received from the same notification source, and determine a notification class for each ranked notification relative to the ranked notifications from all notification sources based upon at least one blending attribute and at least one user contextual state.

A method for pushing information proactively includes: receiving updated data; querying search records that match the updated data; determining search records that meet a push condition, and obtaining user information corresponding to the search records that meet the push condition; pushing, according to the user information, the updated data to all or part of users corresponding to the user information. In the embodiments of the present invention, after receiving updated data, the server proactively obtains the search records of users, screens the users according to the push condition, and pushes the updated data to the screened users. In this way, the information is proactively pushed, which shortens the time interval of providing information for the users, and improves the efficiency of obtaining needed information by the users.

Systems and methods for consistent data generation across an enterprise involves explosion of seed data received in at least one of two or more databases present across the enterprise based on an identified reference data field in the received seed data and a pre-defined pattern. A lightweight map of key-value pairs is created wherein the key is data in the reference data field of at least one data record and the value is a pointer to a transformed value of either the data in the reference data field or at least one data field other than the reference data field, the transformed value being based on the pre-defined pattern. Based on the exploded seed data, the map is continually appended for further data explosion such that consistent data is generated across the enterprise.

Aspects include receiving a first entity name from a first database configured in a first language and receiving a second database, wherein the second database includes a plurality of entity names in a second language, wherein the first and second languages are different. Aspects also include performing an Internet search based on the first entity name, wherein a language setting of the Internet search is configured to the second language and identifying a list of candidate names based on a set of results from the Internet search. Another aspect includes filtering the list to obtain a resulting candidate name and determining whether the resulting candidate name matches one of the entity names in the second database. Aspects include associating the first entity name and a matching entity name in the second database based on the determination.

Described herein is an extensible extract, transform and load (ETL) framework. In accordance with one aspect of the framework, a file location object and a corresponding file format object are retrieved from a repository. The file location object stores file location parameters that specify a remote file system directory and a local file system directory, while the file format object stores location configuration parameters that specify a data file and the file location object. The data file may be transferred from the remote file system directory to the local file system directory according to the file location parameters and the location configuration parameters. An extract, transform and load (ETL) job may then be performed on the data file to generate an output file.

A data system can include a JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) data source, a cluster computing system, and a hierarchical JSON handler. The schema of the JSON data source can include a hierarchically-structured element having a nested array. The cluster computing system can store datasets across multiple nodes for parallel manipulation. The datasets can have a flat structure and can be queried using a Structured Query Language (SQL). The cluster computing system can lack the ability to directly import the hierarchically-structured element of the JSON data source into a dataset. The hierarchical JSON handler can be configured to extract and flatten the hierarchically-structured element of the JSON data source and import the extracted and flattened JSON data into one or more target datasets of the cluster computing system. The cluster computing system can then able to perform operations upon the target datasets.

In one example, a method for determining intermittent time series interval metadata includes detecting one or more time variables in a time series data set. The method further includes determining whether the one or more time variables are intermittently regular. The method further includes determining one or more respective time intervals for the one or more time variables. The method further includes determining the parameters of intermittency for the one or more time variables. The method further includes generating an output comprising information about the one or more time variables based on the one or more respective time intervals and the parameters of intermittency for the time variable.

A system and method of predicting a user's most meaningful multimedia content includes enabling a sensing device on a user device in response to a user requesting a multimedia operation, performing the multimedia operation for a multimedia content, in response to the multimedia operation, identifying behavioral and interaction cues of the user with the sensing device substantially when the multimedia operation is being performed, updating a recommendation from a set of multimedia content including the multimedia content represented by the behavioral and interaction cues identified, and presenting the updated recommendation to the user.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for determining a similar document set to a target document from a plurality of documents. Each of the multiple documents and the target document may include a plurality of words, and each of words corresponds to a different integer. The method comprises: for each document among the plurality of documents and the target document, obtaining a set of integers associated with a document based on a set of words associated with the document, converting the set of integers associated with the document into a vector with a same dimension based on a predefined conversion rule; and determining the similar document set based on differences between the corresponding vectors for the multiple documents and the vector for the target document.

A system and method for profiling a user may generate abstract data based on features identified in visual content, the visual content stored in a computing device of a user, and may generate a profile of the user based on the abstract data and based on metadata related to the visual content. A profile may be used to perform at least one of: generating a prediction related to a behavior of the user and selecting content to be presented to the user.

A search system includes a device controller that provisions a device to execute a copy of a selected mobile application. A crawler extracts content and metadata from states of the selected mobile application. A search input state classifier identifies search input states within the states based on a first set of heuristics, including recognition of user-visible search indicia and recognition of metadata that correlates with search functionality. A parameter identifier identifies, for each of the search input states, necessary input parameters. A search function data store stores a record for each identified search function. Each record includes a path to reach a corresponding search input state, an indication of required input parameters, and a mapping of the input parameters to user interface widgets. A query processing system uses the stored search functions to scrape content from the selected mobile application in response to a query.

A search system includes a device controller that provisions a device to execute a copy of a selected mobile application. A crawler extracts content and metadata from states of the selected mobile application. A search input state classifier identifies search input states within the states based on a first set of heuristics, including recognition of user-visible search indicia and recognition of metadata that correlates with search functionality. A system for and a method of processing a prefix associated with a search query. The method comprises receiving a user input defining a prefix and identifying a list of suggested search queries associated with the prefix. A content management system aggregates and provides users' interaction with a content item for display in an activity feed. Events corresponding to the users' interaction with the content item are provided in conjunction with a user interface of a native application displaying the content item. A self-monitoring time series database system which enforces usage policies is described. A time series database system receives an alert trigger condition for a system user, wherein the system user is associated with multiple time series data points corresponding to multiple subsystems of the time series database system. The time series database system aggregates the multiple time series data points in an internal time series data point, which is internal to the time series database system, associated with the system user. The time series database system evaluates whether the internal time series data point associated with the system user meets the alert trigger condition. The time series database system reduces a level of access by the system user to the time series database system in response to an evaluation that the internal time series data point associated with the system user meets the alert trigger condition.

A networking system can comprise a server and various instances of a software agent, each agent being installed on a computing device participating in a virtual computing cloud. The server can maintain account setting for a user, wherein the settings can indicate which files on indicated computing devices are included in the virtual computing cloud. The networking system can selectively synchronize data between the computing devices automatically and in a secure manner, and can transmit data in real time to simulate local storage when synchronization of certain files is inappropriate in light of file incompatibility. As a result, the networking system can provide the user with a seamless, automatic system and method for accessing a total computing environment.

A corresponding separation device separates carbon dioxide from a gas stream.

A device for separating carbon dioxide from a gas stream, in particular from a flue gas stream, includes an absorber for separating the carbon dioxide from the gas stream by means of a washing medium, a desorber which is fludically connected to the absorber to release the absorbed carbon dioxide from the washing medium, a gas cooler which is fludically connected upstream of the absorber to cool the gas stream, and a processing unit which is connected downstream of the gas cooler and which is equipped and designed to clean water from the gas cooler. A device for extraction of pollutants by multichannel tubular membrane containing at least one fluid channel allowing the fluid to go through a feed inlet to an outlet end characterized in that membrane comprises at least an extraction channel filled with molten salt in order to adsorb said pollutants having to be extracted from the said fluid. Advantageously, the membrane is a ceramic membrane. An application is for the treatment of traces of pollutants in a liquid or gaseous fluid. For example, the removal of small pollutants as volatile organic compounds from an aqueous stream in industrial wastewater treatment or other water treatment applications, or the separation of aromatic compounds form an hydrocarbon feed in petrochemical applications. Another application is in the removal of water traces in products of high added value as pharmaceutical, cosmetic or biocarburant for example.
