புற்றுநோய் என்ற வார்த்தையே மிகக் கொடுமையானது எனலாம். அதிலும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு ஏற்படும் புற்றுநோய் மிகவும் ஆபத்தானதாக உள்ளது. இதுவரை உலகளவில் 100-க்கும் அதிகமான புற்றுநோய்கள் கண்டறியப்பட்டு உள்ளன. அதில் ஒரு வகை தான் இந்த ராபடோமியோசர்கோமா புற்றுநோய் என்பது. இது தசை செல்களின் புற்றுநோய் என்றும் அழைக்கின்றனர். இந்த புற்றுநோய் பொதுவாக குழந்தைகளை அதிகளவில்
